IPhone 6 silent button

i just got my iPhone 6 and the silent button refuse to go back into ringing mode. When I push the button to ringing it just bounce back to silent.what should I do?

If your Ring/Silent switch is not working correctly, I have a couple of troubleshooting steps for you. Given that this seems to be a physical quirk with the phone troubleshooting is rather limited. These steps will help you determine if you need service or not:
Get help with buttons and switches on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
If any of these buttons or switches aren't working, follow these steps. Test after each step:
Check for debris or dirt around the button or switch and clean it with a soft cloth.
Remove all protective films and cases that might interfere with the button or switch.

As the title says. I have had this problem for a couple of weeks. When I turn the silent button on, my iPhone vibrates constantly. It even signals its turning off and on silence mode repeatedly. I dont know how or why it happened, it might have happened when I lost the iPhone one time.

well if the switch isnt working then what i would do is restart, reset, and then restore the iphone if that doesnt work it is hardware and if your within your limited hardware then it can be replaced for free

Try hard reset.
Hold down the sleep and home button until the screen goes black. Turn the phone back on.
If that doesn't work, back up the iphone using iTunes.
Re-install the iOS by putting the iPhone into DFU (recovery mode.)
To do this,
Make sure the phone is pluged in to you computer with iTunes open.
Hold the Sleep and home button until the screen goes black, immediately release the sleep button but continue to hold the home button.
After a few seconds your iTunes should recognize your phone in DFU mode.
"iTunes has detected an iPhone in recovery mode. You must restore this iPhone before it can be used with iTunes."
At this point you should click on "Restore iPhone"
After your phone is done restoring, don't start as new iPhone. Restore from back up.
If that doesn't work, you're SOL.
Take it to Apple. Tell them they are stupid.

Then restart the iPhone.

More than likely, yes - via a 3rd party repair shop that works on iPhones.
Not by Apple. Apple does not offer a menu of repair services except for replacing the battery when the iPhone is no longer under warranty. If under warranty, the iPhone would be exchanged under warranty for such a problem. Apple also offers an out of warranty or not covered under the warranty "repair" price, which pays for an exchange at a discounted price off the full retail sales price - a like for like exchange. Same model/color/storage capacity.

Not knowing what steps were included in "all the troubleshooting possible with Apple people," I'll suggest you give the phone a chance to reprovision your cellular account.
First turn off Wi-Fi. Then power off your phone. Hold the Sleep/Wake button until you see the power off slider. Then slide to power off. Turn the phone back on. After the phone starts watch to see if No Serive is displayed. Hopefully after 15-30 seconds that will change to the name of your cellular service provider and finally indicate LTE or 4G as well as include some dots indicating signal strength. You can then turn Wi-Fi back on.

My silent button and camera!!

The button for turning your iPhone on silent has randomly stopped working for me and my phone is stuck on silent and also my phone won't allow me to use my front camera even though there's nothing wrong with it! Both these issues just randomly occured!

Basic troubleshooting from the manual is restart, reset, restore from backup, restore as new.
If these do not solve, then make an appointment at the genius bar.

my iphone 4 has just started to play up !! when i go to switch the silent button on nothing **** up on the screen, nor does the volume button do this either. Also i never hear a text when i get it or hear it ringing, but i can play my ipod no probs. Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iPod fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- If still not successful that indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

Apple doesn't repair phones, they replace them. Your warranty is void since the screen is shattered (user abuse). Out of warranty replacement for an iPhone 5 is $229, unless you had purchased AppleCare+ at the time of the phone purchase, in which case you pay $49.

IPhone 6 mute button won't mute

Hi,
My iPhone 6 mute button is not working correctly, it's showing as set to silent on the screen but I can still hear sounds as normal.
I also don't see the volume level anymore when changing it.
Any ideas?

Iphone 3gs silent switch problem and volume rocker

Hi so basicly my iphone 3gs silent switch is loose when switched on silent it moves a tiny bit and goes on ring etc and also the volume rocker the one to turn up is kinda pushed in but still works to make it work you have to push hard. Does anyone know how to fix? thanks!

i have the same problem. since you're software is already iOS 5.1 go to settings>general> accessibility>the settings after triple click home, i forgot what is it called but that would help.
