IPhone 6 slow wifi compared to iPad mini retina.

I've got some wifi-issues with my new iPhone 6 running 8.0.2. Wifi speeds are very slow to what I'm used to.
My iPad mini retina gets 100+ Mbits/sec up and down, but my iPhone 6 hardly gets half of that...
The screenshots shows the speeds, measured from exactly the same place (not simultaniously). Distance to the router is ~1m (3ft).
The router is a AirPort Extreme fifth generation.
Same problem here with my 1st gen iPad Mini and iPhone 6. I believe it's a hardware issue.

Ipad mini retina ios 8 update - useless wifi connection
Hi,
I updated my ipad mini retina display to latest version of ios 8 yesterday. What a disaster that turned out to be - since updating wifi connection to my BT homehub 5 router has been terrible. It will work for a few minutes then the connection just sticks - it not the router as iphone 5 and laptop work perfectly with it.
Tried a hard re-set, re-setting the network settings & finally reset to original setting - same thing happens.
Anyone help me with this? I so wish I'd never run this update and stuck with ios7 - presumably there is no way back??

Same issue here, unstable connection since I updated to iOS 8.0.2, I need to turn off/on the wifi when it happens. That is not a router issue as my other devices work perfectly (iPhone 5 with iOS 8.0.2 by the way)
I already restored my iPad min three times in vain !
Waiting for for a fix, that's all we can do but it's very frustrating and disappointing ! -

i want to use the dataconnection of the iPad with my iPhone (most people want it revers, i know)
Problems to be solved
WIFI:
iPhone drops wifi connection after autolock/sleep mode and can't reconnect like in normal wifis cause:
iPad stops broadcasting the hotspot when in autolock/sleep mode.
i know iPhone wouldn drop the conn. if i deactivate mobilenetwork, but i need it too when i'm not in reach of the iPad - so this is no option
And to keep one or both devices unlocked and active, isn't an option as well...
BT:
Since i read, that BT connections won't be dropped i tried to connect by BT to the hotspot, but this only works from iPhone to iPad (iPhone = Hotspot, iPad = Sink) but if i try it the other way, i get the message the conn. cant be established.
I also tried a VPN to keep the wifi alive in lockscreen, but it won't work above iOS 6 as far i see.
please tell me, that there is any option, app or magical voodoo to solve this problem. i had an galaxy tab befor as hotspot and it worked well... :-( i don't want to go back to samsung!
The best solution would be, if the hotspot broadcast would stay active the whole time...

Alexpandora? once I got used to it, it bacame second nature to simple reach over and toggle the hotspot off and on. not great if you have the constant need, but if you have the constant need, it wouldnt be shutting down in the first place.
If this is a big issue for you, and there is no persistant wifi available, you might think about a standalone portable hotspot. Pretty much every carrier in the US has one they would be happy to sell you, along with a data plan.

Scenario:
Before the upgrade to 8.0.2 WIFI the IPAD connected immediately when I arrived home and browsing the Internet was fast (did not do a speed test before the upgrade).
After the upgrade to 8.0.2 WIFI shows as being connected in the General Tab but I am unable to browse the internet. Messages come in to Facebook Messenger but I am unable to respond to them because it shows as connecting.
What I've done to Troubleshoot the issue:
I have to go to General, WIFI, Turn Off WIFI and turn it back on then it connects. I leave the ipad idle for say 1 min and again it disconnects from the WIFI.
I went to General clicked on reset and clicked on Reset Network settings and the result is the same.
I went to General and clicked erase all contents and settings and I still get the same result.
I switched DNS to 8.8.8.8 and still the same result.
Apple support are you working to address these lingering wifi issues?

Tacobell2000I have two different ISPs. My connection to U-verse is very slow, but my iPad mini connects rIght away and stays connected. My TWC connection is much faster yet the iPad connection lasts for a very short time, unless I am sitting directly in front of the router with the iPad almost touching it. It always shows that the iPad is connected though. Otherwise I am constantly rebooting the iPad, removing and re entering the router info, turning wifi on and off, etc. before the 8.0 update, my mini worked perfectly.

It was working perfectly till 13/4/2015 night and next day morning it showing this problem.There is no physical damage to my iPad and is in perfect good condition. I updated the latest OS 8.3 version 3 days before this issue happened. I took it to the apple authorised service centre but to my shock they told the display and unit has to be replaced which will cost me Rs.15000/-. It's just been one year and 7 days only since i bought my iPad,i.e, just 7 days out of warranty period only.I don't find any fault with the hardware neither no physical damage is there. Need help to sort out this issue.

ITunes 11.2.1 doesn't let me sync new songs purchased on iTunes to my iPhone 5S and iPad mini Retina
I hope someone can help me. I've purchased 5 new albums on iTunes 11.2.1. I've created playlists and cannot sync them with my iPhoen 5S and iPad mini Retina under iOS 7 (latest version). I check the playlist and sync, but on the iPhone or iPad, the playlist shows the songs being on the cloud. I try to download them and it won't let me me. I have deactivated iTunes Match on my MBP..... I've spent money on new albums that I can't listed to on mu iPhone or iPad. How frustrating!!!
The same thing is happening to me now and it's just been since the update before last, it seems. And the strange thing is that it's only doing it to songs that are demo-versions (I'm a musician) that have no metadata or ISRC codes or anything. Songs in this format have been transferred in the past without any problems, but that's changed; they show up as ghost songs on my iPad mini (which is fully updated) and any playlist that has one of those ghost songs in it will not play, even if the rest of the songs are fine.
I think Apple needs to address this fast because I'm sure I'm not the only one receiving non-commercial Mp3s or .wav files and needs to use them in various forms on our devices! -

I have installed all the games from my iPhone 3GS at my iPad mini retina throw iCloud. I did what iTunes suggest but when I open the game start from the beginning. For example all the games of team lava company like farm story 2 bakery home design etc I have register and I took storm ID and I have reached in a big level that some times cost money to change level or to buy gems to continue the games.
I am very angry because before I bought this iPad they told me that I could played my games in a big screen of iPad and this as I can see is nit possible. Apple send me details that didn't help me and everything suggest me is not working.

My iPad mini retina is turning off sometimes during my usage. It shows apple picture on the white screen, and then it is turning on again. Why could that be?

thanksAs long as the indian carriers support the correct frequencies it should. Note, that warranty and service will not be valid outside of the country of purchase, so you would need to return to Malaysia to get it serviced.
Other than that most iPads are unlocked for use with sim cards from any compatible GSM carrier.
Note, that if the carrier you wish to use it on is CDMA, they will likely not activate a device that was not registered to them originally during manufacturing.
I suggest contacting the carrier you wish to use, to make sure they can give you a sim card with service for the iPad. -

Why when I use personal hotspot at my iPad mini retina for my iPhone it doesn't stay for long,it disconnect after 5minuteAssuming you are using OSX, connect iphone ny usb then go to system preferences. Go to network pane and scroll down to "wheel" and from the drop down select service order. If you see the iphone then drag it to the top of the list then select apply.
