Iphone 6 speaker issue

Neither the ringer nor the speakerphone works.  Any word on a fix for this bug?

Try this -
Go into settings - accessibility - toggle Noise Cancellation to off (if one) or vice versa
In Settings - Cellular - Enable LTE - choose Data (Turning of VoLTE)
See if that helps
Thanks

  • IPhone 5 battery life and speaker issues

Hey guys. Not sure if anyone else is having this issue but firstly. The battery life *****. And really *****. I let phone completely drain at least twice a month. Then fully charge it. Not a huge user but data I know eats it. We are talking literally within two hours of not using it and it will be down to 59%. Didn't expect this off a phone like this. iPhone 4S beats it hands down. Considering going back to it tbh.
Speaker issues are terrible. Tried the music on full pause. Then exit. Then test but still nothing. Rang apple they say its not a fault but why would other people be reporting it.
iPad 4 users. Do you have issues with battery life too? And very slow charge and very quick drain. This is a joke. Nearly a Grands worth of kit and you feel like your using a Nokia 3310.
    #annoyed!

If tried techniques to get the battery to act right, such as rebooting by holding both the power and home buttons until the apple logo appears and it restarts, and those things haven't helped, take the iPhone and iPad to the Apple store genius bar and have the technicians test them to see if there is a hardware fault.  Do that before the warranty runs out so you are covered.

  • Iphone 3G S speaker issues with SMS

My new iphone has a speaker issue. When I get a text message, email, or alert the first one sounds like the speaker is blown out or distorted. However, if I go into setting to recreate the sound, it's normal. It seems to be just on the first text if the phone has been sitting for like 5 minutes. I called Apple and they said to do a restore and set up as a new phone. Did that and it is still doing it. Has anyone else had this problem or swapped their phones out yet? Just want to know if this is a hardware or software issue. I am leaning towards software because if it was hardware wouldn't it do it everytime?

I believe it may be a Sofware problem. Others are having various issues with sound as well...

  • I used to be able to double click the home button to choose to receive notifications via iPhone speaker instead of the Bluetooth. With ios7, that's gone as well as any obvious way to do it.  I don't wear my Bluetooth on my ear every minute of the day!!!!

I used to be able to choose to receive notifications via iPhone speaker in ios6 by double clicking the home button.  Ios7 took that away and I cannot see how to do it at all.  I don't have my Bluetooth in my ear constantly!!!

If you are getting Siri when you double tap, then your home button must be sticking. Siri comes up when you hold the home button. Try tapping quickly twice. When that happens, the multi-tasking list comes up and you will see the app icon and then a thumbnail, or reduced size view of the app above it. You put your finger on that thumbnail and swipe upwards with your finger.
For that issue, you might want to do a reset of the phone. Hold the sleep/wake and home buttons together until you see the Apple logo and then release. The phone will reboot. This will not affect your data.
To be honest, your novel is a little difficult to read, and I think you put too much information in there, and a lot of it is unnecessary. Be to the point and just add information necessary to understand the issue.

  • When I am on a call in my car I can play and hear the music on my iPhone but when I hang up from the call the music reverts back to my iPhone speaker.

when I am on a phone call in my car I can play and hear my iPhone music thru the car speakers but when I hang up from the call, the sound reverts to my iPhone speaker and longer plays thru the car speaker.

    Hello, Jordanali.
Thank you for visiting Apple Support Communities.
I understand that your car will not resume playing music after accepting a call.  Here is a troubleshooting article that I would recommend going through when experiencing this issue.

  • What move to make for iphone speaker volume

I have been reading all kinds of goods and bads about the iphones speaker volume over the last week. Yes ipod sounds good to me (Not to where I would ever wanna listen to it in speaker mode.) And NO, my speaker phone does not sound good. Way too low. Im starting to wonder if the people in the forums are saying theirs sounds fine because they have only tested it where there is silence. I'm not looking to be able to hear any speaker phone in the middle of a crowded bar, but I can not even hear it when it is all the way up and sitting beside me in the car, with the windows up. I find myself grabbing it and putting it right near my ear. So....... has anyone determined if this is a software issue or a hardware issue? Should I be bringing my iphone back or wait out the software update? I am surprised that with the release of the phone and all the questions being posted there is no portal for apple employees or techs to address some of these questions like a faqs page targeting some of the consistent questions over the last week. And don't get me wrong I love my iphone and i am not amongst the crew of people in these forums bashing it. Never owned a blackberry or treo or any of that stuff. I said years ago i will purchase something like that when apple puts one out. Never owned a pc in my life and I embrace this phone.

has anyone determined if this is a software issue or a hardware issue?
I assume since the iPod is capable of putting a fair bit of volume through the earpiece that it's a software problem. Have you turned-off volume limits in Settings?
Should I be bringing my iphone back or wait out the software update?
Tough call, if you're trying to decide by the 14 day window. Call Apple under warranty service, tell them if they can't guarantee a volume fix you're going to have to return the phone?
You can ask Apple for iPhone changes via this link:
http://www.apple.com/feedback/iphone.html Though if you're requesting hardware changes for iPhone v2 you may want to wait a week (or a month?)...they're probably going to be inundated right now by requests for software changes to the current iPhone.

  • IPhone speaker gone all fuzzy and lost volume

    Hi,
I have an iPhone 3g running 3.0 and the sound from my speaker has deteriorated. i can barely even hear the ringer now. I have already restored my phone to factory default settings but still no change..
this happened after doing a restore because my phone was getting really slow..but i have restored it 2 times after that restore just to see if it is an OS issue..
    Help!

I have the same problem.. I wokeup to find my iPhone speaker very low, when i compared it to a healthy one, I had to put that other one on half the volume to make it at the same level as mine when it is at its maximum.
I went to the customer care and they said they will call me withihn 3 working days. But the woman working there told me the best i would expect is a replacement for almost $400.
Please post if you find any solution.

That is a new "feature" described in Connect your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch using Continuity
You can turn it off by going to Settings > FaceTime and changing "iPhone Cellular Calls" to off

  • Speaker issue after Mavericks Upgrade

I recently upgraded to Mavericks on my Mac Pro (mid 2010 ver.)
Now when I try to listen to Pandora, iTunes, or anything that pushes sound thru the O/S, the sound "jumps" between my Bose 5 companion computer speakers (USB) and the internal Mac Pro speakers.
Additionally, when I go to Preferences-----Sound, you can literally see the O/S jumping back and forth to these two rows  "Built In   Internal Speakers" and "Bose USB Audio    USB". More specifically, you will hear the music thru the Bose speakers and then about every 20 seconds (sometimes it goes for over a minutes) it will "beeeeeeep" and then jump to the Mac Pro internal speakers.
I tried deleting the two .plist files as previous mentioned in past threads with no luck. Before I upgraded to Mavericks I never had ANY sound/speaker issues what so ever.
    Any suggestions? Thank you

    Update Saturday Jan 4, 2014
Before my Mavericks upgrade on my Mac Pro, no problems ever (use my Mac 4-8 hours a day) using my Bose Companion 5 USB connected speakers. I've tried shutting the Mac down and plugging the Bose USB cable into another open USB port = no joy and other combinations. I tested the same Bose Companion 5 USB speakers on two other laptops with NO issues (ouch...they were running Windows 7) I have deleted the two .plist files, did the CMD+OPT+P+R reset, etc... = no change. Looked into Midi Audio Setup and did not see anything in there to change even though I tried a couple of things and no avail (there was no Garageband setting/entry).
I still get a solid "BEEEEEEEEP" sound every 20+ seconds, when the sounds tries to toggle, by itself, between the Bose USB Audio device and the Internal Speakers.

  • Palm TX speaker issues

Ok.  First of all, I have to admit to still loving my Palm TX even though Palm has abandoned the stand-alone PDAs.  That being said, I'm still troubleshooting my Palm TX speaker issues.  I previously had no sound from the headphones or built-in speaker.  I have replaced the built-in speaker, but nothing changed.  Lo & behold when I look at the headphone jack one side is disconnected from the motherboard.  When I physically hold the headphone jack in place, I can get some sound from the headphone jack (left headphone when headphone is completely inserted, right headphone when partially inserted).  However, no matter what I cannot get any sound from the built-in speaker. I have tried canned air & WD-40 & when I have the TX disassembled, I can see the headphone switch (at least I think it's the headphone switch) moving on/off.
Now, if I solder the headphone jack onto the motherboard will this complete the connections for the built-in speaker (so that the TX will work as originally manufactured)?  Or should I try to find a headphone jack replacement?  I've searched for a motherboard replacement but this seems cost prohibitive since everything else is in perfect working order.
Thanks in advance for your help/assistance.
    Post relates to: Palm TX

It would be my best guess that if you repair the broken headphone jack, it will return normal operation of the speakers.

iPhone WiFi issue. I enter a password, click join, and get a message back that it is an incorrect password. I have several computers and other iPhones connected using the same password. Any ideas?

    Hey there Gordo456,
It sounds like you are not able to join your Wi-Fi network with the correct password on 1 out of many devices. I recommend the troubleshooting from the article named:
iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1398
    Restart your iOS device.
Update your device to the latest version of software.
Update your Wi-Fi router to the latest firmware2. For AirPort Base Stations, install updates using the AirPort Utility.
If that troubleshooting does not resolve the issue, I would next try these steps from further down the article:
Unable to connect to a Wi-Fi network
Verify that you're attempting to connect to your desired Wi-Fi network.
Make sure you're entering your Wi-Fi password correctly. Passwords may be case sensitive and may contain numbers or special characters.
Reset network settings by tapping Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings. Note: This will reset all network settings including:
previously connected Wi-Fi networks and passwords
    recently used Bluetooth accessories
    VPN and APN settings.
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.

  • What is iphone speaker on the control centre

So I was looking at my control centre at night and it showed that I had iphone speaker on next to airdrop

Other can get large depending on what apps you use.  It seems that programs like GoodReader stores much of its material there (I have many pdfs in GoodReader on my iPad, and simply removing them shrinks "other" by a many hundreds of MBs).  A lot of games cache data in other, locally stored email messages, the iOS notes app stores notes there, calendar events go into "other".  I'm not positive, but I think my Nook ereader app also tends to store books there, or its library sync data is there (and I have over 100 novels in my Nook library synced to my iOS devices).
So, it is not at all impossible for "other" to be several GBs in size with perfectly legitimate data in it.  Mine on both my iPhone 5 (32GB model) and iPad (64GB model) tends to sit at around 3%-5% of total storage.  But, as I say, I read and make notes on a large number of pdf, word, and excel files and powerpoint slide decks (although I always try to remember to convert those to pdf before loading them to my idevice), as well as use a couple of notebook apps for project management and meeting notes.
Some real-time geocaching apps supposedly also can add a lot to "other" as well.  So you may find that syncing does not reduce it, or even restoring as new, then adding back the apps you use and content for them, does not alter it much at all - I know on my devices with my apps and the kind things I use them for, I always have upwards of 3%-5% of total memory being used by "other".

Yes, so long as it's within the original purchase year (ie, the purchase from Apple, not from your friend).

  • My 3GS keeps switching between iPhone speaker and Dock connector and I don't know how to keep it on iPhone speaker

My 3GS keeps switching between iPhone speaker and Dock connector and I don't know how to keep it on iPhone speaker so I can listen to my music and games.  Is it hardware or software problem?

I was told by a friend that sometimes when you use a 3rd party charger that the connectors are not the same size and so it can affect the sensors in the phone and make it seem like it is in a docking station and so changes the output for dock speakers.  With that said, I didn't take my pohone in to be serviced at the appple store because it was a 3GS and over 2 years old and so not covered by any service plan.  Since then my phone is back to normal and I can use my headphones and listen with the speakers on the phone.  I stoped using the suspected cheap 3rd party charger and maybe that's what did it, but not sure if it was or wasn't the cause of my problem.  I'm glad that my phone is better I was kinda holding out for the Iphone 5 when i comes out later and hope my phone lasted until then.

According to this article  Using iPhone on an airplane  you should be able to listen to music with Airplay Mode enabled.
Make sure you have Music switched on in Settings > Store or your music won't download via Wi-Fi.
