IPhone 6 take longer time to charge after upgrading to ios 8.2

Did someone have the same problem with me? After updating to ios 8.2, time taken to fully charge the battery seem longer than usual. Usually, it take roughly about an hour to charge from 10% to 100% but now it take nearly 3 hour. I have try to pull out the charging cable when the battery reach 96% and then plug in back after a few second. The battery percentage shows 100% after i plug in the charger. Is there something wrong with the system or the battery?

I have this problem too. My iphone isn't recognizing ANY charger after  upgrading to 8.2

Maybe they can help if the situation is properly explained, because the time that I went, they said they couldn't do anything and that I should restore at home, when I already had. I will tell you, restartiong won't work.

My iPhone 3GS lost the signal operator completely after upgrading to iOS version 6.1.2, someone with the same problem? Just think when I enable the 3G, soon followed falls again.
I have already put another chip carrier and the same problem happens, my phone is factory unlocked.

Had same problem with iphone5 6.1.2 update. First tried reset network settings and didn work... Support recommend me a restore and ended up in recovery loop with iTunes error (-1)
Been at my carrier store (Optimus Portugal)... and iPhone sent to warranty. After 2 macbooks, 1 imac, 2 appletvs, 2 iphones, 1 ipod... I find disappointment with apple reliability....
At least the support guys at Optimus Portugal were very helpful and friendly, but I'll be 15 days without iPhone...

  • 4s won't charge after upgrading to iOS 7 :(

My phone was FINE after upgrading to iOS 7 last night. Today when I went into work, it was also fine and charged correctly.
It wasn't until after I got the "do you want iphone to trust this computer?" and I said NO.
I wasn't sure what this meant, I just clicked no because I didn't want my phone to sync to to my work computer.
Since then, I have not been able to charge my phone. I know there are issues with other brand cables, so I waited till I got home to use my official apple cable. Doesn't help at all.
I went to the genius bar and he looked at my charging port and said "well there's nothing stuck in there or broken..." We tried 2 of their charging cables there. We tried restarting the phone, we tried resetting and restoring the phone. NONE of these options work. I am dwindling on 6% right now.
The only weird thing is, when I power my phone off, and plug it to a power source, my phone turns on! I get the apple symbol and it boots up. So it does recognize SOMETHING. However, my laptop wont acknowledge that something is plugged in... and now apparently the only option is to get a new phone.
Any ideas? The guy who helped me doesn't believe that iOS 7 could cause charging issues, but there's no other explanation! I was at work all day today, and nothing has changed, I didn't drop it or anything. THe only thing I could think was diff was iOS 7 and that weird "trust computer" popup.
Help! I don't want to upgrade now!

Jefisher - good luck with that. I went to the genius bar and we went through the motions of powering on/off my phone, restoring it and eventually resetting it to factory settings and none of those solutions worked. Unfortuately my warranty already expired so they suggested getting a new phone / upgrading.

    Hi everybody,
we have patched our XI development system to SP 19; during startup of j2ee it takes a long time in registering method in com.sap.security.core.server.vsi.service.jni.VirusScanInterface....about 10 minutes!
Here follow an extract of dev_server0 tarce file:

Is there any way to speed up this process? or to deactivate the virusscaninterface service? What can I check to understand what happens during the registering method of VirusScanInterface?
We are using XI on AIX platform, version 5.3 ML5 with Oracle database.

    Hello there, mabaaref.
The following Knowledge Base article provides some great information in regards to battery functionality:
iPhone and iPod touch: Charging the battery
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1476
It's important to note that if the battery is extremely low on power, your device may display a black screen for up to two minutes before one of these images appears. Continue charging for at least 30 minutes, or until your device is fully charged.
Thanks for reaching out to Apple Support Communities.

  • IPhone 5s no longer holds battery charge after updating to 8.1.1

Immediately after updating to iOS 8.1.1, my iPhone 5s battery will no longer hold a charge. At 7:30 am (EST) it was 100% - by 10:30 am I had to plug it back in as it was down to 8%!!   From 100% to 8% in 3 hours ...
I NEVER had a problem with my phone in any way before updating the software.  PLEASE HELP!   Thank You.

The same thing happened to me. However, I was 7 hours from home in the Baaken. I was in a situation that requred I keep the phone on for saftey reasons. My Iphone 5s died and is now a brick!
I just ordered my first Android phone. It's unfortunate that Apple post Steve Jobs doesn't perform adequate testing on software. They are becoming just "another" company!

  • Imac G5 takes long time to function after waking

After sleeping, my G5 takes a very long time to fully function again.
The screen wakes just fine, but as soon as I click on a window, I get the spinning beach ball and the cursor freezes.
It works fine again after about 5-10 minutes. (It sure feels like at least 10...scares the wits out of me every time.) It also seems to take an unusually long time to start up, now that I think of it.
    Any help? Thanks!

Try using OnyX to clear out some of your caches, particularly your browser cache. How full is your drive? How much RAM do you have?
Try resetting your PRAM as well, please let us know what helped.

  • Why does iPhone 4 take long time when finishing syncing?

I have recently started noticing, after upgrading to 7.0.3 that my iphone doesn't work as well, crashes occur in apps and it's a lot slower to process.
Then I went to back-up my iphone, to my Macbook Pro, as I always do and have recently done since upgrading to 7.0.3.
It goes through the first stages of back-up at a regualr speed.
But when it gets to 'Finishing Sync' .... well, it has been finishing now for over 30mins!
I have alot of Apps on my phone, but have never had an issue with using them before upgrading.
Can anyone give me some advice on what I need to do to prevent this or fix the speed of the sync.
Can I do a partial back-up/sync of importnat things like iCal - when im in a hurry?
My phone obviously won't back up properely if I eject it before it's finished? Love some assistance if anyone has any ideas.
    Thanks!

Unless something has gone catastrophically wrong, you should never have to perform the uninstall/reinstall/reapply the patch hokey pokey. So that's just wasted effort. There is a simple way to perform what I call the "Factory Reset".
I recently described how to do this in the thread linked below:

I might question why this is needed at all. Perhaps you are unaware of some things that help you avoid issues with Captivate.
    For example:
How many slides are in your projects? We normally recommend keeping projects somewhere between 50-65 slides as a rule of thumb guideline for the upper limit.
Where exactly are your projects residing when you make edits? Frequently we see folks working with projects on a network drive. This is less than optimal and will often cause issues and slowness and project corruption. Work locally off your C drive and periodically copy the project the network server to be backed up.
Hopefully something here was helpful to you... Rick

  • My iPhone 4S won't hold a charge after updating to iOS 6.1.1

Is anyone else experiencing problems with their battery draining after updating to iOS 6.1.1?

My phone has died.  It does even show the batter low symbol - Taken to Apple Genie, they told me now to pay £139 as its a hardware fault.  Told them Im a true apple fan, but they didnt give 2 sheets!!!!
If Only I could turn back the clock and NEVER updated the IOS 6.1.1
Anyone reading this:- If your phone is out of warrenty and was one of the 1st batches of the 4S - DO NOT update this as this will kill your phone as only way to fix is pay apple £139 for a refurbished handset!

  • Any iPhone 4S users experienced better battery life after upgrading to iOS 7.1?

    Hello
I am curious to know if any iPhone 4S users experienced better battery life compared to iOS 7.x.x.? That will be great to know before I upgrade and give up my JB .
    Thanks!

diesel vdub wrote: With every iOS update there is an extremely small minority of users (less than 1%) that seem to experience problems and cannot phathom that the issue is not affecting millions and is not widespread.  Apparently when the issue affects you personally it's impossible to accept that millions and millions of users are not experiencing the same problems or accept that the issue is with your device specifically.
Really, that's quite an assertion. I'm sure you can prove those stats; but  my apologies,  I forgot that Apple produces flawless product.
I can only report MY SYMPTOMS: iPhone 4S 32M on VZW, upgrade to iOS 7.0 at the end of February (when security flaw was announced), after which my battery life is about 1/2 what it used to be before the upgrade.
Also, as reported above, when I upgraded to iOS 7.0 my phone would lock (in phone mode); had uncommanded  reboots; and severely degraded battery life.  Two days ago, upgraded to iOS 7.1.  Most screen "touch" issues appear resolved; and uncommanded reboots resolved.
Battery life / duration still poor; still charging every 4-5 hours.
Previously with  normal use (with no location services) could run a full day, about 8 hours before recharge. Now, same situations, I'm having to recharge after 4-5 hours.  Again, no new apps, all apps are current; no different usage.
    What's the resolving fix?

  • 4S won't sync or charge after upgrading to iOS 7

I upgraded to iOS 7 and now my 4S won't recognize any usb interaction whatsoever. I've updated iTunes and it still won't sync. It will charge, but only when the device is off. When it is on, there is no recognition by my computer or the phone that the usb is interacting. I can sync via wifi, but it won't find it via usb. Any ideas on what to do?

I have the same issue.  When I try to attach my iPhone 5 to my computer, as I have done countless times before, it just sits there and chimes repeatedly like I am unplugging and replugging it in very quickly.  Wiggling the cable has no effect.  My iPad has no problems hooking in.  I have wi-fi, and my phone does not show up in iTunes through wi-fi either.  I am perplexed.....
