Iphone 6 virus

I think I just got a virus on my Iphone 6. How do I check if I have one, and if I do, how do I remove it?
My iphone is currently running on iOS 8.2. I was checking a website with a friend of mine, and accidently entered a popup-website. I then got a popupsaying: "you're iphone have a virus. press OK to controll". I pressed OK, then shut down both of the websites and proceeded to turn of my wifi connection. Now what?

What they said, but I recommend you go to settings-Safari and cleat history and website data, this will clear up anything left from them.
Also, I like to set"
"block Pop-ups" on
Do Not Track on
Change block cookies setting to "Allow from current website only".
I find those settings have not caused any problems and have less junk thrown at me.
Don't worry, your phone does not have a virus, it's just a scam.

See Here for  >  Frozen or unresponsive iPhone
Try this First... No Data will be Lost...
Press and Hold the Sleep/Wake Button and the Home Button at the Same Time...
Wait for the Apple logo to Appear...
Usually takes about 15 - 20 Seconds... ( But can take Longer...)
    Release the Buttons...

  • How do i get rid of a iPhone Virus?

I have now for the second time a strange virus on my Iphone 5, iOs 6.1.4 It opens randomly the pre-installed apple apps like Newsstand, Settings, Notes etc. and changes settings there. The first time I had it, it sent a message with "awkward" to one of my contacts. This time it changed my wallpaper. I haven't jailbreaked my iPhone. How do I get rid of this ****? It seems to help to switch the Wifi off. A reset of the settings did work the first time but not now. Thanks for your help!

  • How do I diagnose and remove iPhone viruses?

I think my iPhone (iOS8) has a virus.  There is a noticeable decrease in the battery life.  Also, the Lifelock app popped up, giving a warning.
I tried downloading Avira (I use it on laptop), but it apparently isn't available.
I need something that will scan, diagnose and remove the virus(es).  Any suggestions?

The only possible ways to get a virus are:
    -Jailbreak
-Downloading an app that is not from the App Store.
Other than that, your iPhone is fine.

  • IPhone virus downloaded from Skype app - is it possible?

I have received a weird message on Skype app on my iPhone 4S. There were no links shown. The same message on my computer showed a file, which was ''no longer available''. Do I have anything to worry about? Is there any possibility that virus somehow got on any of my devices even though I did not download anything? My phone is not jailbroken. Thanks for help

You don't have to worry unless your phone is jailbroken.

  • My IPhone sent out a virus

On Monday, I visited several websites with my IPhone and also downloaded a new ap - a solitaire game by byterun. The following day while I was away from the IPhone and my home computer was off, the IPhone sent out a virus to my entire address book (aol). I've not heard of IPhone viruses, but something happened. I've disabled my email from my Iphone. What should I do to make sure this doesn't happen again? Anyone else had any problems? I can't seem to find anything in tech support that addresses this. Thanks.

Out of curiosity, is your home computer a Mac or a Windows PC?
(Oh, I, too, seriously doubt that your iPhone is a culprit in this. iPhones have been reported sending "phantom" calls on their own, but I don't recall reading of any of them sending "phantom" emails. In addition, no one, and I mean no one, has EVER reported anything like what you describe. No hacker has ever described being able to do something like this-and I frequent a lot of sites where that WOULD be discussed. So either you are the unluckiest iPhone user in the world, or you are incorrect as to what, exactly, happened. If you have a Windows box, I would suggest that something in it is the culprit.)
(Second oh: "So, unless you have something constructive to suggest, just move on." is really just not, um, nice. People here, for the most part, are trying to help each other. If you don't like the fact that everyone who has responded has suggested an alternative scenario, it might just be that they are trying to BE constructive, and you aren't hearing it. Try some other sites and see what THEY say. You might find unanimity of opinion, which would leave you where you are now.)

  • How do I remove virus from iPhone

I don't know how I got virus on my pone

There are no iPhone viruses that could infect non-jailbroken phones.
What makes you think that you have a virus?

  • Can iPhone Give Viruses to Your Windows PC Computer?

if iPhone has a virus, can it give virus to your computer? Also, is there such thing as an iPhone virus? could you get it from using safari when you surf on the web?

In theory its possible.    If i were a clever ******* i chould use something like the PDF exploit to add a file to the part of the iphone that comes up as a disk when pliuged into windows and in conjustion use an expolit in windows that can be used to install a virus from a usb mas storage to do something evil.
1 I don't think this had ever be done in wild.
    2.  Its a really over convloted way to do it and most likely not work any one whos smart enoght to pull it offs time for ammount of impact it chould create.

todays date (in case you missed it) ... 12-22-2011
I did NOTHING to change my iPhone4.  I was literally at work from 12:00 noon to 9:00pm.
All of a sudden, at 5:00pm, my iPhone4 decides it needs to constantly goto "searching" then to "no service" then back to "searching" then to "AT&T [5 Bars] 3G", then back to "searching" to "No Service" to ... you get the idea...
It continued with no end in sight.
Once home, after 4 hours of having a useless iPhone4 for 4 useless hours, I (to my wife's dismay) went to my home office to research if anyone else had a problem with this.  Mind you, I had latest Apple iOS 5.0.1...
    FFWD 3 hours later.
I found the post before my current post.  (by Shaun00013)  It lead me to hope (not believe) that if I used iTunes to do a backup of my iPhone4, then "Restore to factory defaults", then Restore iPhone from backup that my problem would be solved...
... (yes, I know i use too many "..."  so don't mention it!)
Now that I've done the backup / restore factory defaults / restore from backup: problem solved.
... [  :-)  ]  It's been 30 minutes with no repeat of my original issue!  YAAY!
This whole experience reminds me of a corrupted windows installation.  I didn't realize Apple iOS had the same issue...
I don't know if someone sent me an email with an iPhone virus ( is that even possible?!)  Or if my iOS just shat itself... but I know this post lead me to fixing my issue.
Hope this post of mine helps you too. If it does, sign in with your AppleID and tell us about it.  Then, the next poor helpless iPhone owner experiencing this issue will find this post faster through Google.
Gnite!  Hopefully I won't be back to this site anytime soon...

  • Importing pictures from iphone to pc

When importing pictures from an iphone to pc without using the itunes, there are many unknown folders that appear inside every iphone folders. Folders that can't be deleted. Is this a virus? How to get rid of this?

No, this is not a virus. There are no iPhone viruses. These hidden folders are used by the operating system: leave them alone.

  • Iphone Icons Moving by Themselves

    Hi,
Recently, I was sitting at my disk and I watched my iphone move icons around on my phone by themselves. This has happened twice now.
Could this be an iphone virus? Should I be scared?
    Thanks!

    Hi,
If the icons were just wiggling, you may have held your finger on an app for awhile instead of just tapping it. This webpage: http://www.apple.com/iphone/how-to/#app-store.deleting-applications provides more details about deleting apps and the wiggling app icons.
You can also arrange the way you want the apps to appear on the iPhone using iTunes, as shown here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1977. This is a feature of iTunes that will let you sync and arrange multiple pages of apps.

  • Touch screen is not responding properly

My iphone just started acting crazy today and I have reset it a couple of times and still the problem persists.  It's as if the touch signals that are sent to the phone have nothing to do with what I'm actually doing.  For example at times it can be impossible to power off or close applications.  I may touch the dead center of the screen and the phone may be behave as though I touched an upper right or lower left corner.  Sometimes the interface is also sluggish...
What can I do short of restoring the whole phone?
Are there any iPhone viruses?  I'd say it's behaving as though there is a virus!

If you have tried power off/on, reset by holding the power and home buttons until the apple logo appears and it restarts, and still get this behavior, the only viable solution is an Apple store.  There are no virus that infect the iPhone and cause this behavior.
And the screen is not pressure sensitive, it depends on a change in the capacitance of the screen due to contact with the skin...so hard taping and hard pressure have no effect.
The behavior of trying to close apps makes it sound like there is a fault in the screen or its connecting circuitry.
None of which really helps your situation if you are not able to visit an Apple store.

  • My laptop had a virus and I am trying to sync my IPHONE 4 to my desktop, how can I sync my phone without losing all my music, apps and contacts?

my laptop had a virus and I am trying to sync my IPHONE 4 to my desktop, how can I sync my phone without losing all my music, apps and contacts?

You are talking about the menu bar of Itunes, right?
Yes. With iTunes open the menu bar is at the top of your screen.
where exactly is the Store/synck you iphone option?
After you authorize the computer connect your iPhone then follow the instructions here > iOS: How to transfer or sync content to your computer
When you are done transferring the data to the desktop, right or control click the iPhone under Devices left side of the iTunes window then click Back Up.
That way you will have a backup just in case you need to restore your iPhone.

  • I know I've heard that iPads/iPhones can't get viruses but is it possible that they can? While using my iPad, it keeps going in and out of apps. On Facebook, status and profiles keep getting clicked and it keeps zooming in and out. Can anyone help

I Have an iPad mini, iOS 8.1. When I'm on my iPad, it keeps going in and out of random apps. Going to settings is the worse. As soon as I click settings and it opens,it starts clicking different things and tries turning on and off settings! In Facebook, profiles and status get clicked. The screen zooms in and out multiple times. It reminds me of when you call the help desk for a computer or a computer at work and they gain access and move around clicking and you're doing nothing. Basically things are being clicked and I'm not doing it.....can anyone help?

At this point, I would go for reset to its factory default condition, using the iTunes program to get a clean system install. That way you'll clean everything out and just have it set up the way it would come from the factory. You'll need to do your backup (on the iTunes program too) and be sure you understand which stuff will be saved and which will not (from the links below). Also turn off any anti-virus program you may have on your desktop. Then when you reset it to the factory default condition, don't restore your backup just yet ... until you check it out without your data put back on it. Verify its operation first, to make sure that you know it's okay. Hopefully everything is okay at that point, otherwise you'll have to take it into Apple to check it out for any hardware failure.

  • My computer had a virus and needed to be wiped clean. all my itunes docs are stored on an external hard-drive so i downloaded a new itunes but it over-wrote my old one - how can i restore this without wiping my iphone? please help :(

    Hi there,
My windows xp computer got a virus and needed to be wiped.
As i store all of my itunes and iphone stuff on an external hardrive i thought this would not cause a problem.
Got a bit confused when i tried to open itunes again from the back-up hardrive as it would not open.
Wrongly assumed that the best option would be to re-download itunes and move my old itunes info across - silly silly thing to do :/
The new download just over-wrote the old one and after trying a few of the suggestions on here to get my old library back - i still cant work out if its possible as it has been over-written.
I don't want to plug my iphone4 into my computer as i have heard that this can wipe your phone completely, so before i do anything, does anyone know what is the best thing to do from here? or how i could posibly recover my old library, playlists, apps, podcasts e.t.c
    please please help

go iTunes > preferences > advanced and temporarily disable the copy files ... when adding option.
from the file menu, choose add to library and select the folder on the external containing your content, or drag the folder to the automatically add to iTunes folder inside the iTunes folder.
when iTunes has finished the operation, go back to preferences > advanced and point iTunes media folder location to the external so that future additions to your library are put there. also, re-enable the copy files ... when adding option.
