Iphone 6 won't let me delete photos

I synced my iPhone with iTunes and all of the pictures from my iPhoto synced and now I've got full memory since all of my pictures make up about 6gb. How do I delete these pictures?

Hello michqnxx,
I understand you have synced your photos to iTunes and now want to delte them from your iPhone.   There are several ways to do this, and I'll include all of the information in this post.
If the photos on your iPhone were synced from iTunes to begin with, here's how you would delete them:
Sync photos to your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch in iTunes - Apple Support
https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201313
Delete synced photos
In iTunes, locate and click on your device.
Click Photos.
Choose "Selected albums" and deselect the albums or collections you want to delete.
To delete all synced photos, deselect "Sync Photos from" and, when asked, click "Remove photos."
Click Apply.
Learn how to delete photos and video synced from iTunes when you can't access the originals.
If the pictures were taken with the iPhone and reside in the Camera Roll:
My suggestion would be to import the photos to your computer, and create a second backup of the images.  When the import finishes, you will be prompted to delete the images from the phone.
Import photos and videos from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch to your Mac or Windows PC - Apple Support
https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201302
You can also use the Photos app on your iPhone to select the images you want to delete and then tap the trash icon.
iPhone User Guide - Chapter 11 - Photos
https://manuals.info.apple.com/MANUALS/1000/MA1565/en_US/iphone_user_guide.pdf
Delete a photo or video from Photos. Tap the Photos tab, tap the photo or video, tap , then tap Delete Photo or Delete Video. Deleted photos and videos are kept in the Recently Deleted album on iPhone, with a badge showing the remaining days until the item is permanently removed from iPhone. To delete the photo or video permanently before the days expire, tap the item, tap Delete, then tap Delete Photo or Delete Video. If you use iCloud Photo Library beta, deleted photos and videos are permanently removed from all iOS 8.1 devices that use iCloud Photo Library beta with the same Apple ID.
Recover a deleted photo or video. In the Recently Deleted album, tap the photo or video, tap Recover, then tap Recover Photo or Recover Video to move the item to the Camera Roll or, if you use iCloud Photo Library beta, the All Photos album.
Hope that helps ...

  • Iphone 5s won't let me delete a song, and its a christmas song that I don't want on my phone.

I don't understand why the Iphone 5S won't let me delete artist, instead I have to delete each song. Does apple know how annoying that is? Espcially when every frickin song  Glee has ever reease goes on my new phone. I already hate this phone and i just got it yesterday. I'm done with Apple, they need to get there **** together.

You purchased it originally, and so it remains. I have two albums which I now don't want. I called about it before I got my 5s and was told there was no way, because it was a purchase I made. When I got my 5s I was hoping I could get rid of them, but you can't. They don't want people's music to disappear and then want it back. It is frustrating, but they feel they are helping people.

  • Iphone won't let me delete photos!!!  HELP!

I tried to back up my photos to the computer using iPhoto (seemingly successful) -- after it gives me the option of deleting the photos on my device, but when I ask it to do so, it doesn't and the photos are taking up over half my memory.
    Any advice???
    PLEASE HELP!!!

Are the photos in another album instead of the camera roll? You should be able to delete any photo in the camera roll. You cannot delete photos in other albums that you sync with itunes. You have to connect it to itunes and turn those albums off and resync the phone. That is the only way to delete those photos.

  • Since installing the 7.0.4 updates my iPhone 4S won't let me delete voicemail messages. Help

Since installing the 7.0.3 and now the 7.04 updates my IPhone 4S won't easily delete voice messages. I have to try over and over. There is no rhyme or reason as to why it sometimes works. The guy at Verizon said Apple did it on purpose to force you to upgrade to the Apple IPhone 5 series. I've heard the iPhone 5 has problems also.
I've always liked my Apple products: MacBook Pro, IPad 2, but now I'm worried about buying an IPhone. I hate to give up on the syncing capability but this is a pain.
    Advise?
    Thanks!

What is the model of your iphone?  I have a hunch but need more data to see if I'm correct. Thanks!

  • 'Storage full' but won't let me delete photos???

My storage has been full for a while so I plugged my phone into my computer to transfer photos over...long story short my laptop crashed in the process so I can't try this again but I know that I cleared up a ton of space on my phone after syncing the photos and deleting a bunch. However, my phone now insists on filling the free space with random photo albums from my computer and music that I don't want on my phone, so I still can't take any photos. It doesn't give me the option to delete these albums from my phone, either. I even deleted a bunch of apps I didn't really want to delete in order to clear up space but it just filled it all up with old random photos again. I was going to disable the photo stream but I'm afraid I'll lose all the photos saved to the cloud? I'm going on vacation in a week and want to be able to take photos!

If the photos were created on your iPhone you can directly delete them. If the photos were synced from your computer and you can't delete them on the phone. You have to sync with iTunes on computer. You add a new EMPTY folder and sync the empty folder to your iPhone at the "Photos" category.
[I want to show you the screenshot, but i can not uplaod it.]
Actually photos will occupy most capacity of our phone space. we want to keep the photos always and don't want to delete them. however, i would like to reduce photo size to free up our iPhone capacity

    Hello Icouldusesomehelpplease,
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities!
I would recommend a few things here. First, restart the phone.
    Restarting your iOS device
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red "slide to power off" slider appears, and then slide the slider.
After the device has turned off, press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.
From: iOS: Turning off and on (restarting) and resetting
              http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1430
If the issue persists, close the mail app, restart again, then test the issue:
iOS: Force an app to close
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht5137
And lastly, if the issue persists, you may want to remove and re add the email account from the Settings, and then test it again.
Delete the account from Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars and then add the email account again on the iOS device.
From: iOS: Unable to send or receive email

    All the very best,

When I updated my iPhone 4 it brought back all my old voice mails 3200 of them. It won,t let me delete the any ideas?

With ios 7 there is a new feature that shows you all the music you purchased with your apple id.  You can disable this by going to settings/music/show all-off.  Also this helps with saving data usage if you do not have unlimited data.

  • I've recently changed the email address on my i tunes account. The emai address on my icloud account hasn't changed, so i can't buy additional storage. It also won't let me delete my existing icloud acc.

I've recently changed the email address on my i tunes account. The emai address on my icloud account hasn't changed, so i can't buy additional storage. It also won't let me delete my existing icloud acc.

To change the iCloud ID on your phone, first save your photo stream photos to your camera roll (if not already there) by opening the my photo stream album, tapping Edit, tap the photo thumbnails, tap Share, tap Save to Camera Roll.  Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, then sign back in with the changed ID.  This deletes the account and your iCloud data from your phone, but not from iCloud.  Provided you are signing back into the same account, your iCloud data will reappear on your phone when you sign back in.

  • DVD STudio Pro won't let me delete stills. has brought in ALL my stills

Hi all. In need: DVD Studio Pro won't let me delete STILLS from palette. The minus sign is greyed out even with control-click and shortcut menu. As a result, the program goes through ALL my photos when looking for a cover for my dvd. Makes it impossible to put pix on cover of DVD (when played).
I should be able to DELETE these folders with 1000s of photos! The manual says so but the minus sign still stays greyed.
Also, not sure how it imported all of these in first place? i am currently keeping photos in i-photo, so ....?
Do I need to wipe out the dvd-studio pro and replace. [Of course I am in Rome and don't have that disc!]
HELP if possible is much appreciated.
    best,
