Iphone 6 won't save contacts

my iPhone won't save my contacts. every time i try to save a number it disappear from my contacts?

Every time I saved a new contact, I noticed it wouldn't appear in my list... I clicked on 'Groups' at the top left and realised that my Gmail account wasn't ticked, I presume this is where they save to as default, I clicked 'Show all accounts' and all the ones I thought were missing appeared!

  • Won't save contacts vcard to pc

Made a new icloud account but my contacts stayed in the old icloud.
Tried to export using vcard to my pc.  It doesn't give me an option to save.

First off, importing SIM contacts is not going to do anything for you, since the iPhone does not store contacts on the SIM. That function was just added to allow the importing of contacts from an old phone.
What troubleshooting have you done to the phone so far? First is to power the phone off/on, the second is a reset. This is done by holding the power and home buttons together until you see the Apple logo and then releasing, ignoring the slide to power off screen. If no help, then a restore, first from a backup, and then as a new phone if necessary.
I'll imagine that you shouldn't have to do more than the first two to get everything going again.

  • Iphone won't fetch contacts from email accounts

When I got and set up my iphone 4 it successfully important my contacts from two email accounts (Gmail and a Yahoo-connected label). But when I add new contacts on the computer, they don't show up on the phone. I've tried adjusting the "fetch" and "push" settings, but to no avail. What might I be doing wrong? Thanks.

Recieving email is no problem normally be that POP or IMAP based
However sending over 3G/Edge/GSM requires you to use the smtp address supplied by ATT to send over the mobile networks and NOT your ISP smtp.
You do however need to use your ISP smtp when at home to send over your Wifi.
When sending you may have better//more consistent results if you switch off any wifi connections and just use the ATT service to avoid having smtp conflicts.

  • My iPhone 4 refuses to save pictures and at some instances, delete my existing pictures. I take a picture, and then go to camera roll and look, but it doesn't show up. The same thing happens when I try to screenshot things; it won't save.

My iPhone 4 is severely making me mad. It won't save any pictures I take. I will take the picture, then go to view it in the Camera Roll, and it just won't be there. The same thing occurs when screen shotting things on my iPhone. Some times it won't even let me delete the existing pictures I had on my phone before this all happened. I will click delelte, then it will pause, and eventually close me out of the photos app. However, when I go to settings, it says I have 440MB of pictures on here somewhere. But I can oly see 3 pictures in the camera roll. Also, it says in the camera roll app that it is 'Restoring...' then just sits and loads and won't restore anything at all. HELP ME PLEASE. I have iOS 7.1 currently installed.

Have you Tried Clearing the The Cache in the Camera or Gallery in your Applications Area.. Go to Settings--> Applications--> Manage Applications--> Select All--> Clear the Cache in Both the Camera & Gallery Clearing the Data however might Clear you Pictures in your Gallery but if your Ok with it Give it a Shot,

  • Updated iPhone 4 to latest ios7 and now my camera won't save any photos to my albums

Updated my iPhone 4 to the latest ios7 and now my camera won't save photos to my albums? How do I fix that?

Okay, mine now works here is what I did.
plug in the iPhone, iPad etc
in iTunes select the phone or iPad
Under Summary uncheck "Sync with this....."
Under "Music" uncheck the "Sync Music"
Let it remove all the songs, dont worry it will come back no problems.
Once that is all done all the music on the phone or ipad should be gone.
Now check them both back on and everything should copy back onto it.
    Working now !!!!!

  • Save Contacts from Exchange to iphone

    Hi There,
I wanted to know that if there is a way to save the contacts that get populated by exchange to the iphone. For example, I have setup my exchange account on my iphone, I sync the contacts to my phone, so whenever I have to add a new contact I create it in my outlook and it works perfectly..
My issue was, I recently left the company i was working for and as soon I left, the exchange was cut off and with that all my contacts disappeared as well. I wanted to know if there was a better that whatever contacts I create in exchange, I can copy it directly to my phone so in an event if I am no longer a user to that exchange server I still have access to my contacts.
    Thanks for your response

This is not new - not with my MobileMe account, which I use for syncing contact info over the air with my iPhone.
Contact info synced over the air is available on your iPhone without an internet connection, but obviously in internet connection is required in order to sync contact info with the online address book for the account.
If you leave the company along with your Exchange account no longer being active, syncing contact info over the air will no longer be possible. I don't know if the account no longer being active along would erase all contact info from your iPhone, but deleting the account from your iPhone or turning Contacts off for over the air syncing will remove all contact info from your iPhone.
You can sync contact info over the air with an Exchange account and/or with a MobileMe account, or you can sync contact info direct with a supported application on your computer via the iTunes sync process. You can do one or the other, not both at the same time.
Contact info on your iPhone is included with your iPhone's backup, which is created and maintained by iTunes, but so is email account setup info. If you leave the company with your Exchange account no longer being active, you can restore your iPhone with iTunes to restore contact info, but your Exchange account settings would be restored also. Since you would have over the air syncing enabled for your Exchange account on your iPhone, this would prevent you from syncing your iPhone's contact info direct with a supported application on your computer via the iTunes sync process.
Long story short, your Exchange contact info may remain on your iPhone, but your contact info may be eventually lost since your Exchange account would no longer be active. You would probably receiving constant error messages about your Exchange account not being able to connect, and you wouldn't be able to sync contact info direct with a supported application on your computer, and if you delete your Exchange account from your iPhone in order to do so, this will also delete all contact info from your iPhone.
You would probably need to export your Exchange account info from a computer used at work to access the account, followed by importing the contact info into a supported address book application on your computer at home, followed by syncing your iPhone with the supported address book on your computer via the iTunes sync process after deleting your Exchange account from your iPhone.

  • HT204150 iCloud contacts, they won't save.   I get a message stating that "Your changes to this contact could not be saved because of server error".   What can I do?

Some of my edits of contacts in the iCloud contacts will not save.   Instead, I get the message that "Your changes to this contact could not be saved because of a server error".   Other, similar, edits are saving and synching to other Apple devices.
    Thanks for help

Jeffeighmy - I had this same problem last week.  I think it is an iCould issue. It resolved itself.  Just frustrating.  I had reinstalled iCloud Control Panel and it would not let me save contacts or calendars.  Then it just happened after a couple of days of trying.  My contacts on my iphone are now duplicated, not in Outlook.  Then when I delete one on the iphone it deletes it up through icloud and my pc so I loose that contact.  Go figure.

    Hi vichochile,
If you are having an issue with syncing your new iPhone with the information that is in iCloiud (and on your other devices) we should make sure that iCloud is set up correctly on the iPhone. See this page for directions -

  • Iphone 4, save contacts when reinstall

I've an iPhone 4 and it has been working great in 2 years and I hope it can last a bit longer. My prob is that it has turned to be very slow. I tried to reset it but there's no different. I suspect it could be some **** in the soft ware and thats why I want to reinstall the phone and not use the backup.  BUT I really need to keep my contacts, phonebook. How can I save only that? Can I in some way copy the contacts to my sim card as I could before witth my no-smartphone?
    Thanks for your help!

If you use iCloud you can do a back up for just the contacts, turn everything else off for iCloud back up BUT the contacts and back up that way. Also if "some" email domains you can save contacts to as well.
As a for sure real "just in case" and is time consuming but is also a last restore - write them down or make an excel sheet on your OS.
Regarding the device being slower than normal, besides the reset step what else have you tried in troubleshooting to resolve the issue?

My contacts on my iPhone won't sync to iCloud. Any suggestions??

Yes contacts is on and the account listed is the iCloud account (@me.com)
When I go onto iCloud the only contact there is my @me.com email. This account was set up so I could use iCloud but I also have a yahoo account on my iPhone if this has anything to do with it.

  • Iphone 3gs is there any way that i can save contact on itunes

iphone 3gs is there any way that i can save contact on itunes

Contacts are not saved in itunes.
Contacts can be saved a number of ways though. With a 3GS you can update to iOS5 and use iCloud to sync contacts to computers or other iOS devices or just to the iCloud server.  You can back up your phone to iCloud which does save your contacts.
You can use iTunes to sync your contacts with address book on a mac, or windows contacts on a PC, or with outlook contacts.  You can make a backup in iTunes which will include your contacts.  They will not be accessible but you can restore to a device if something happens to your device and recover them.
You can also sync your contacts through a mail client such as yahoo, google, hotmail, or any exchange service.
Lastly, there's many apps that can store contacts.

  • Why didn't my iphone save contact information when updating?

Why didn't my iphone save contact information when updating??

Can you give us some more info? Were you upgrading to a newer version of iOS? Did you backup your iPhone before upgrading? Did any other info disappear during the upgrade? Which system are you running, and which iPhone model are you using?
Are you using iCloud to sync contacts? If so, check Settings > iCloud to make sure you're logged in and Contacts are enabled.
