IPhone 6 won't work without wifi

HI got my iPhone 6 about 3 months ago and it as working perfectly fine but all of a sudden it wouldn't let me use the Internet, iMessage or my social media apps without wifi. My brothers and dad's phone still works fine but I don't get how come mine doesn't. I updated my phone to the iOS 8.1 after two weeks I got it and then I updated it to the iOS 8.2 two weeks ago to see if it will work fine again but it didn't. I don't know if the problem is because I updated it the first time but I'm tried and it's annoying. Help please ! I'm leaving on a trip in a couple weeks and I would like to use my phone without any problems.

When I don't have wifi I can't use iMessage. Before I got the ios7 update I could no matter if I had wifi or not, now it won't work without it. Other people can't send me text message is they are still using iMessage. How do I fix it?

Go to Settings>Messages and make sure that "Send as SMS" is turned on. Also, if you want to be able to send longer messages or photos when not on Wifi (i.e., not iMessaging), then also make sure that MMS Messaging is turned on.

I have an iPhone 4S and on Sunday I tried to send a text message (it was an iMessage because the other person had an iPhone) but it turned it into a text message and still wouldn't send. I've never had a problem with this before Sunday, and it's really annoying me. I've always been able to send iMessages without wifi and regular text messages, too. My "Send as SMS when iMessage is unavailable" is on, and I have also tried to turn it off and see if it works (it doesn't either way). Does anyone know what's wrong or how I could fix this?

Hardware requirements of the iphone 4 do not meet the specifications needed for FaceTime over cellular data.
4S and up do not require wifi for FaceTime.

Ipad2 doesn't work without wifi although I pay Verizon for data. Is there a quick fix for this?

Today, two other users reported issues with the back-forward history list dropping down if they hovered the mouse pointer over the back or forward button -- without clicking -- and then moved the pointer downwards. One user was on a touchpad, I don't know about the other user. Are you experiencing anything like that?

Anyone know of a Voice Translator that can work without WIFI? for travel

would like to find a Voice Translator APP (don't care about cost) that works without WIFI - for Travel use in some areas with little or no wifi service.

Hey Calchick, I didn't read much of the details, only looked for key words, like offline, translation, etc. Illaass is correct, voice recognition and translation programs tend to be very large. If you have web access, you can talk in your native language and be heard in the foreign language. With out the web, your a text and read operation.
Personal experience, may help you, take of it what you will-- in BC time, (Before Computers) and traveling around, I found if you learn a few basic phrases in the language of the people you are visiting, i.e., things like, "Can you help me?", "Where am I" (have a map in hand when you ask this), "Where is the bathroom", "How much?", "Where do you go eat", "Where's the market?", "Take me to the pharmacy / hospital", and the most important phrase: "Thank You" I know, dumb examples but you get the point, about 20 phrases that cover the basics, who, what, where, when, and how, (think about the questions or things you would ask if you were in a city, in the country you now live, that you have never been in) and a working knowledge of some basic answers, (also, learn a few cruse words, that way you will know if your getting help or the butt of a joke), along with a translation guide book, you can get through almost any situation. Being able to speak even just a little of the other persons language, without using a device, will make most people want to help you, (unless you get a real A-hole), most people will help you if you make an attempt to learn and speak there language, even if it's just a little, (shows you cared enough to try). The translator app just replaces the book, and it will make it easier to learn the phrases. Remember; The app is just a tool, not your mouth. It can get a little rough at times, but generally works, got me through a few countries and made a few friends along the way. Having a soccer ball helps too! Hope this helps, have good travels. Macbook won't work without charger

Hello, I have a late '08 macbook. Originally I had problems with the screen dimming and I took it to a licensed mac repair place and they fixed that. Then shortly afterward the mac wouldn't work unless it was plugged into the charger. At that point I bought a new battery, new charger and updated to 10.7.5. Now the laptop still won't work without the charger. I have tried the trick where you turn off the laptop unplug it and take out the battery hold down power for 5 seconds and then plug in the charger first then the battery. I realize there must be something wrong besides the charger or battery but I'm wondering if anyone has an idea and how much it might cost to fix.
This happened a year or so ago but this is the first time I will need to use it in a situation were I cannot be guaranteed an outlet.
