I'm so disappointed in the iPhone software update. Honestly, I've been disappointed since I traded in my iPhone 4.
The swipe feature works intermittently and it's crashed three times already.
What's happened to the quality that I know existed in Apple products?
Why do I have to get frustrated at my iPhone not working right????

Iphone 5 Battery Charging Acting Strange

The last few days my Iphone 5 has been acting strange with charging the battery. I will be charging it and it will not go past a certain number then if i unplug it a couple times or restart it then it says 100%. It will be ok for a little while and then go through the same thing. Yesterday my phone said 36% and a couple minutes later shut itself down because it was a 0%. So the number is just not reading correctly.
Is this just as simple as changing the batter most likely? Or something else, other than this the phone works fine as far as i can tell

Always try to charge iPhone when convenient for you. You can use iPhone right out of box, no problems, or you can charge it up if convenient. The best time for most users to charge iPhone is at night while they are sleeping so it is fully charged for the next day. The iPhone lithium battery is very versatile, so charge when convenient for you, it will not effect performance or life.

I suggest contacting apple support...I know in Australia it's 1300 321 456...Not sure what it is for where you are, try this website http://support.apple.com/kb/HE57. Alternatively, if you haven't already, sync it with iTunes. If the iPhone's not been synced before, try holding the power and home buttons down at once. That should reboot the phone. Might sound stupid, but make sure it's fully charged first.

Link iphone calendar to sage act connect

i want to link my iphone calendar to sage act connect. instead of connecting each time to sage act connect i want to see appointments in my iphone calendar.
Some help would be great.

The only workaround would be linking the email account to Outlook, synch the Calendar, move all the entries to the Local Calendar (no iCloud, but the default PST file), and then removing the account. You would have to do it every single time you need to update it, so i don't believe it's a very convenient solution for the Calendar. I used to do something similar for a client, but only for his contacts.

Recently my iphone 4 has been acting dumb

i'm not sure why it is doing all this things but here is a list of what is recently has been doing:
when i charge it, the screen goes completely black and this little white loading circle is in the middle and it does that for ages and finally loads. (the black screen with the white loading thing happens sometimes even if i'm not charging it and it lasts for about 20 minutes)
it made all my pictures and videos and albums that were in my gallery disappear but they're slowly coming back (it says restoring 24 of 1,084 with a loading thing) it has done this about 3 times now
it deletes all my saved messages and it has never brung them back
sometimes when i try to open apps it closes them in approximately 2 seconds
sometimes when i'm using an app it will exit it out in the middle of whatever i'm using
i only have 4 apps downloaded and it says i've ran out of storage completely which means i can't use my camera, download more apps, or update anything
when i listent to my music it will suddenly stop and i'll have to go back to it and make it play again
basically those are all of the things my iphone 4 has been doing and i've dropped it a few times but i've never dropped it really badly to where it's cracked, my phone actually doesn't even have one scratch on it so i don't understand why these things are happening and i've had it for about 9 months so if there's anything you can do to help me fix it that would be really appreciated. also, i have not done the software update ios 6 because appearently i don't have enough storage to do that either.

If you are using the iphone as it is designed you won't.
You should be importing all pics/vids taken with your iphone to your computer regularly as you would with nany digital camera.
Restart loses nothing, nor does reset.
Restore does erase, but you should always make sure that pics/vids are imported, contacts and calendars are synced, music is transferred to your computer.

Iphone 5S camera roll acting weird

Hi could I please get some help with my iPhone 5S?
I went travelling and used my iphone 4S to take pictures and set up the photostream for my mum to save the pictures onto my 5S. Everything was fine until i got home and put them onto my iphoto. There were some photos that were then saved into my camera roll that would show a thumbnail of one picture and when i look into the picture, a different picture would show up. I have no idea what happened. I tried to plug it back onto iphoto and looked through iphoto and the pictures on iphoto were fine.
Please anyone help me fix this.

The photos are fine in iPhoto.
Delete them from the Camera Roll and sync them to your iPhone as intended.

Connecting Iphone to Macbook to act as modem

I have been trying to connect to the internet with my macbook via iphone - using the latter as a modem. Is this possible and is it best to use a cable. I did find some settings once but alas, cannot anymore! Please can anyone help?

Iphone 5c touch screen acts weird

So i recently cracked the screen to my iphone 5c. I got it fixed, and it was fine for the first few days. Then the screen would do things on its own without me even touching it. Then it would just freeze. The phone doesnt freeze, but I try to use the touch screen, and nothing happens. Then i have to lock and unlock my phone to get it to work again. Can anyone tell me what the problem is?

If it was repaired by someone other than Apple, then take it back to them. Apple won't touch it if someone else opened it.

So the sleep button only works intermittently? That sounds like the switch is about to fail. This isn't that uncommon... If you go to
settings -> general -> accessibility -> assistive touch
Turn this on and you will find a translucent little doo-dah appears. In this under device there is an option to set your phone to sleep. It's not the best solution but at least you'll be able to lock it when it does fail completely.
As for your sound problems, it may be that the mute switch is broken, make sure vibration is set to on and give it a wiggle. Your phone should vibrate when you set it to silent and an icon should also appear momentarily on the screen.
Also, I'd check your settings as headphone volume and speaker volume are set independently of each other.

IPhone/Outlook Contacts sync acting strangely

Hi everyone. I have something weird happening in Outlook that wasn't happening before getting a new iPhone (my first iPhone ever). I had my Outlook Contacts setup so that when I create a new contact (in Outlook) and I enter the contacts name the "file as" field shows lastname, firstname. This worked fine until I began using my iPhone. Now when I create a new contact in Outlook the "file as" field shows firstname, lastname instead of lastname, firstname even though it is setup correctly in Outlook properties. Has anyone seen this before?

SOLVED - I went into his Contacts Options (Tools | Options | Contact Options) and simply changed the Default Full Name Order from Last Frist to First (Middle) Last and that did the trick!

Is there anyone that can tell me a little bit about what is going on?

I've restored it several times with no backup at all and it doesn't seem to help. Almost all of my apps crash I have deleted almost all of them hoping if it was a memory prob it would be fixed but no the main one is safari it crashes all the time. It also just acts really weird. When I am typing anything on safari the letters will drag and then slowly catch up when I'm typing. It will also go to a different kind of screen format like its trying to figure out if it's a computer or phone when I rotate the screen. I have go in and delete the website data and clear everything almost everyday and it still does this. Ever since the last IOS update, my Iphone 5c has been acting weird. The time is always off; It says that its 9:30 in the morning when it's actually 2pm. I try to fix it, but it just goes back to not working. Please help!!

I go to settings and switch "Automatic time" off and then back on. It works for a while, but then just goes back to being off. I've tried manually setting the time, but it just goes back to what it was before. If I send a text, it sends and then disapears. I can't see what I wrote! I went in to Apple to try and get it fixed, but they just restored my phone. It's still not working. Please help!

It's not hacker or a virus. You are experiencing what a number of users of iOS 5 are experiencing now - sluggish or less than perfect iPad performance. It seems that for some of us - memory management has gotten a little out of whack with this most recent update. Some of the basic troubleshooting steps that you can try are ....
Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
Close apps in the recents tray. Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Quit/close open apps by double tapping the home button and the task bar will appear with all of you recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner to close the apps. Restart the iPad. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
If you have Safari crashing issues - Go to Settings>Safari>Clear History, Cookies and Data. Restart the iPad. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
None of these steps should be necessary as part of your daily routine - the iOS is supposed to handle all of this without any user input. Once again - for some of us - the iOS is letting us down.
Until Apple releases another update that resolves this issue for the "few" that suffer, keep these steps in mind and use them as needed.

My iPhone 4 has been acting weird since the update to iOS 5.1.1

I charged it to 100% yesterday morning and by the time I went to bed it was at 13%. I didn't do anything I don't normally do. A few games, email, check weather, sports scores; a couple hours of use.
Then this morning I was texting a buddy that's in town and when I got a response my screen just flashed on then off really quick and it make a weird static noise instead of the bell when I went to unlock the phone to read the message. Just before this I changed the volume of the ringer in settings because it sounded really high.
Has anyone else experienced anything weird since updating? I'm trying a reboot and will watch it for a while. Might be time to take it in and have it checked out.

Can't make or receive any calls. When making a call, you see the thing dialing but no tone, it rings at he other end however. When somebody trying to call me, it does not ring at my end. If you try to end the call, the phone page will just freeze, when you exit the phone page to go try the MP3 player for example, and come back, the phone is still trying to end the previous call. I tried resetting the network settings, turn the phone off and on , no difference at all. It's easter Sunday, everything is closed here in Montreal.

Iphone 4 maps gps acting strange

Never have I had this happen with the 3gs.
When I'm using "show location" and following my gps point, my purple path just stops, and it trails off. The location is still ahead, but it's like maps just gave up on directions.
Anyone else experience this?

Yes this happens to me too after the iOS 4 upgrade. Using Maps when I'm driving the purple path randomly disappears also after many kms (2 or 3) it comes back again.
I found this very annoying!!!

All the "apple" icons such as STOCKS, etc can't be deleted. I use itunes to move them all onto the last screen of icons that I have so I never have to look at them. Kind of dumb you can't delete even apple icons that you never use. I'd rather save the phone memory and use it for something else.
