Iphone account on itunes on old computer, moving to new computer

I have my Iphone account on itunes on my old computer, and I'm about to buy a new computer. When i get my new computer what will i do to keep my iphone up to date. I'm afraid that when i plug it in it won't know what plan i signed up for and nothing will work. I was wondering if there is anything i need to know in moving from one computer to the next with my account on my itunes on the old computer?

Get an external Hard drive.
Go into the music file and copy and paste the file into the external drive.
Very simple to do.
When you get your new computer, plug in the external. locate it and copy and paste everything from that file into your music file. then open itunes and viowla! =] (excuse the spelling on viowla!)
Anyway.. On your older PC you MUST de-authorize the computer!!! Go into iTunes and there is an option on the toolbar.... - In View or store or something... In on of those there is an option which says " De-Authorize computer" or something...
once you do that you'll be good to go! =]

to remove that account.
go to settings > iTunes & App Stores > click on that apple ID then sign out.

I'm having trouble connecting my iphone to my itunes on my computer

So for christmas I got an iPhone and currently, I'm having trouble connecting my iPhone to my iTunes on my computer. If I get on my computer and open my iTunes, I can use it perfectly fine but once I tried to connect my phone to it, it told me the software needed to be updated before it would work with my phone. I went to the website and tried downloading the updated version 10 times but every time it told me it couldn't connect with an apple device or something. So then I tried just going to my downloads and stuff and moving the actual song straight to my phone but it would always tell me my device has ended or has been disconnected. All I'm trying to do is move some songs onto my phone from my computer. They weren't purchased straight from iTunes so it's not showung up in my "purchased" on my phone. (I think I got them from amazon and some are cds that I my computer that I got years ago. Maybe thats why they don't show up in the purchased?) Anyway, how can I fix this? I have a windows computer if that can help at all. Thanks!!!

Also, I just opened my iTunes on my computer then plugged my phone to the computer and a box popped up saying "This iPhone cannot be used because the Apple Mobile Device is not started"
I have no idea what that means.
I don't have that option on the side that says what device is connected so I can't sync or anything.

You are trying to use home sharing, you are logged into the same account for sharing on both computers (and they are connected to the same wifi network), and what happens when you try to copy your library ? Can you update your iTunes so that they are the same on both ?

You may/must have had music files stored outside of your iTunes library.
I'd recommend going to the Finder and then via the search box look for files with mp3 aif m4a aac etc. depending on the music format your digital music had. With the list of files shown you should be able to learn which files were stored outside of your music > itunes folder
Chances are they could be burried somewhere under your documents, downloads, desktop, ... we all have different storage and organization habits.
Then when you find the missing files, on the new computer you can do add to library and go to the folder on the other computer where the missing files are - if your systems are networked - or sneak them over using a USB thumb drive or portable hard drive if you have lots of files, or if you like to have an extra backup of that music, copy to optical disc.

As long as you sign in to apple store with same id used for the original purchase and authorised your computer you will find that when you download the app it will be shown as free.
your account has a full history of your purchases so no problem as long as it was purchased from apple store

Do you mean that iTunes doesn't recognize your phone when you plug it into your computer using the usb to dock cable? If so, see http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1538. (And yes, you need to use the usb to dock cable that came with your phone. If you dont' have it you'll have to buy another one.)

with the black and white icon or a different one?
If it was jailbroken, contact the developers of the jailbreak.
Not all jailbreaks can be completely removed.
Google may provide some direction.
