Iphone activation fail

Hi all,
I have bought an iphone from internet and I can't use it.
The iphone can't be activated because it was registered with the account of the old owner.
And the seller can't remove the iphone from is account because he lost his login.
What i must to do for solve this problem?
It's an Iphone 4 8gb with IOS 7.1.2. the S/N is 01*********664

There is no solution if the previous owner can not or will not release it from Activation Lock, the anti-theft feature of iOS. Return the phone for a refund. It is worthless and will never be usable. If the previous owner is honest there are ways to recover the Apple ID or password that was used to lock the phone. The previous owner would have to contact Apple account security by calling the Apple support number for his or her country.     Hello, my girlfriend resetted her iPhone 4 today, it is a second hand phone so activation e-mail is not hers. So her AppleID does not activate the phone. Here comes the odd part, we asked the original owner to lend us a hand, she gave us her account information (email and password), still activation refused to work. I tried the support, all it says is that it's gonna send a message to the phone. No message recieved. How can this be solved? Or for that matter CAN it even be solved? Can't activate, can't recieve help, cheers.

    The original owner has created the activation with an apple id and password.
    This is what the activation is asking about. The code you are referencing has to do with account security regarding identity verification. This has to do with account security sending a working iphone a verification code that would then need to be provided back to the account security agent.
    You will need the apple id and password that was initially used when the device login was first created.

    Apple's activation server is down.
    I called Apple and the support team had the same issue.
    All you can do is be patient.

    It sounds like your phone is not activating correctly when you are trying to set it up. I would recommend the troubleshooting from the following article named:
    Get help activating your iPhone

    Check the system status for iOS Device Activation. If the iOS Device Activation status isn't green, try activating your iPhone later.
    Restart the iPhone.
    Try to reach the activation server another way, then try to activate.
    Try connecting to a known-good Wi-Fi network if you can't activate using a cellular data connection.
    Try connecting to iTunes if you can't activate using Wi-Fi.
    Restore the iPhone.
    If you receive an alert message when you try to activate your iPhone, place the iPhone in recovery mode and perform a restore. If you still can't complete the setup assistant due to an activation error, contact Apple for assistance.
    If you're asked to enter a password to proceed with activating the iPhone, Activation Lock might be enabled as part of Find my iPhone.

    Sounds like the iPhone is locked to a wireless carrier in France.
    You will have to contact that carrier to see if they offer unlocking
    and if you qualify.
    What is the exact wording of the error message you receive when
    you try to activate the iPhone with your sim from Egypt?

    iMessage activation fails: could not sign in. It waits for activation endlessly.
    The issue started with contacts not being available for iMessage. I ended up not being able to sign in on both Mac and iPhone. Everything works fine on my iPad though.
    Any ideas other than those posted around here? iMessage is becoming a real pain.

  • ATV3 After Recent Update Activation Failed(Skipped)

    I'm a new user to apple products, I bought ATV3 couple of weeks ago. It was working fine. I used AirParrot to mirror my PC (Win7) and airplay was working fine on my friend's iPhone. After a restart (I guess it was updated to iOS 7), I couldn't mirror my PC nor run music from my iTunes. I can only see my shared libraries from ATV3 GUI.
    I tried to reset, but i got activation failed. I tried all the rest options (Restore All settings, Restore and Restore from iTunes), all led me to the same results, activation failed and no mirroring is available neither from AirParrot nor iPhone.
    Please help.

    - The DNS is already set to Auto. I modified it to manual then automatic again.
    - I tried Ethernet, restarted a few times.
    - I didn't change the location of the Wi-Fi, specially it is located in the same room. Youtube is working perfectly via ATV.
    I can see my iTunes library on ATV, why I can't mirror any device??
    If downgrading will fix the problem, I'm willing to do it.

    +447786205094 with content starting "REG-RESP?V+3;..." after a while I see that imessage and facetime activation failed.

    Yes, i'm having the same Problem. I came back from London yesterday evening, wanted to reactivate iMessage on my iPhone, but i immediately recieved nearly the Same Message from that number. The Link in the Last answer does Not help me.

    Hi, I am trying to test the MFA Mobile App on my Android phone. Phone based authentication is working fine but the mobile app fails to activate. My server is Windows 2008 R2 SP1 with MFA Server 6.1.1.15297.
    I can log into the User Portal (with phone based authentication), generate an activation code, scan the QR barcode but then the app always returns "Activation failed, Please check the activation code to ensure it is correct. Error details: Server Error"
    The URL in the mobile app is definitely correct. I am using self signed certificates with a CN equal to the URL. I have imported the certificate into the Trusted Root store on the server, my laptop client, and I tried to import it to the android 4.2.2 phone.
    It says it imported it but then I can't see it in the list. None of this seems to have made any difference.
    The MultiFactorAuthSvc log contains:

    I googled those errors but came up pretty empty handed
    Does anyone have any ideas? Has anyone got this working on Android using self signed certificates. I only have 19 days left on the trial and I need to establish whether the mobile app will work so I'm keen to get this working.

    Got the same issue and found the solution:
    Issue: MFA activation works on Windows phone and iPhone , but not on the Android. This case is related with the Lync app issue with Android.
    If you have add the correct http binding with the certificate hash than Lync mobile on android will work.
    but in our case we used unique certificate and than MFA activation did not work either. So as you can only add one ipport0.0.0.0:443 related with the certificate has, you can NOT use unique certificate for ADFS federation and MFA activation on the same server
    using a single IP address.
    We found two solutions:
    1) Either use a wildcard or SAN certificate
    2) Bind the unique certificate namen with a unique ip address.

    I'm trying to install iPhone OS 3.0, it downloaded just fine but when it came time to install the install failed because "The iPhone activation server is temporarily unavailable".     This is a server-side issue, so there really isn't anything you can do besides waiting. Currently, there are a lot of people attempting to perform the activation which requires a 'green light' from an Apple server, and this server seems to not meet the demand. It's a shame that Apple did not prepare for the OS 3.0 launch properly - they knew there will be a lot of iPhone customers trying to upgrade right away and still failed to set aside enough computing power to perform activations.
