IPhone alarm in lost mode

I left my phone at work and it has alarms set for tonight and tomorrow. I thought I'd set it in lost mode to stop them from going off and disturbing my coworkers. Will this work?

My understanding is that changing the password does not prevent Find My iPhone from continuing to work with the account. However, they may have forced it into recovery mode and restored it. This would have erased it and rendered it unable to be tracked, but it could not be reactivated and used.

AT this point whatever data you have on yoru phone is already gone since it is in recovery mode.
However you can restore from your backup, when your phone reboots from recovery.
YOu do have a backup right?

my lost iphone is still offline and erasing not started yet and i want to cancel this request!

You can't, but after the erasure the activation lock will still be in place, so the device will be useless for anyone not knowing your apple-id and password.

Do regular notifications appear, if iPhone is in Lost Mode?

Recently, somebody stole my iPhone.
If my iPhone is in "Lost mode", do regular incoming notifications (such as new e-mails, reminders, Facebook messages etc.) appear on the lockscreen?
The model of my phone is iPhone 5, and it's running iOS 7.1

So once you go to iCloud and turn on Find My iPhone, your phone always has PW lock activated and there's no way to change that short of deactivating Find My iPhone.

Unless you enabled Find My iPad on it before it was stolen then there isn't any way to locate it. If you did enable it then you could try locating it either via http://icloud.com on a computer or Find My iPhone on another device - but that will only work if it's connected to a network and the device hasn't already been wiped and/or Find My iPad disabled on it.
If it was stolen then you should report it to the police. You should also change your iTunes account password, your email account passwords, and any passwords that you'd stored on websites/emails/notes etc.

Hi, i was giving my friend my old iphone 4, and erased it from my iCloud.
Now it says that the phone is lost and my phone number?My friend can't use it.
I guess it's in lost mode, but I can't change it's status since that phone no longer is attached to my iCloud.

Well, for the last week someones been putting my iPhone constantly in lost mode using my apple account and I keep getting out because I know my own password. I want to change the password but two other people I know use it, (who definetly wouldn't do this), someone else probably got ahold of the account and is spamming the phones into lost mode. I'm not in lost mode currently by the way. This repetition is really a hassle for me because I'm not always connected to the internet to get out of the lost mode, a few days ago, I went on a 12 hour flight and both my apple devices were probably put into the lost mode and I wasn't able to use my iPhone or iPad to do work and entertainment purposes. I was literally sitting there for 12 hours! So now that you sat through my problem, which I thank you for greatly, how do I switch apple/cloud accounts on my devices so this won't happen again? I hope you can give my solution, if there is one out there, and thank you in advance for atleast trying to solve my problem.

The only way this can happen is with access to your id and password

Specifically -
Stop Lost Mode or change your contact info
Sign in to icloud.com/#find with your Apple ID (the one you use with iCloud).
If you’re using another iCloud app, click the app’s name at the top of the iCloud.com window, then click Find My iPhone.
Click All Devices, then select the device that’s in Lost Mode.
Click Lost Mode, then change the information or click Stop Lost Mode.

If your phone is offline, there is no way to track it. Report the loss to trhe police, your carrier & Insurance company. Change all of your passwords.

Lost Mode won't unlock!

I put my iPhone 5S into lost mode (bad idea) to see how the feature worked, and now I can't unlock the phone - even if I type in my passcode (which I KNOW is correct). I even "stopped" lost mode via iCloud.com a couple different times, but my passcode stil isn't accepted. Why is it not taking my passcode??

I resolved the issue. After launching from Macintosh HD, I held down Shift, and then it prompted me for my PIN, which was the same as the code I entered on Find My iPhone, and then it relaunched and let me log in. I don't know if this is a bug or not, but it seems very inconvenient and not intuitive if it's intended.

Lost Mode Alarm continues - I found my iPhone 5!

Hi. Last Saturday morning I lost my phone and immediately went onto iCloud and entered the phone into Lost Mode, sent the message and Played Sound. Spent all that day reporting the loss to the police, insurance and Vodafone and generally panicking. Went to bed that night, put hand under pillow and guess what, found my darling phone!!! What a relief!! Cancelled Lost Mode on iCloud and restored passwords, Vodafone etc. HOWEVER, at various times (and obviously I never get any warning), the lost alarm still sounds and in public, people must think I have stolen my own phone!!! I have tried different ways to stop the alarm happening again eg setting Lost Mode over again and then cancelling it again but the alarm still goes off. All I have to do is press the on/off button to stop it sounding but the fact that it goes off in the first place is the problem. It should be cancelled!
Why does the alarm still go off? Can anyone help please?

It could be that someone has accessed your AppleID/iCloud account with out authorization. Or it could be that you forgot to remove find my iPhone form a phone that your previously owned.
Change your Apple ID password.
