Iphone and apple ID

To simplify my life, (hah) I changed my apple ID and password so that entering that information would be easier on my new 4s. I did this after I activated my phone. Now all my apps still think I use the old email address and refuse to accept my password. Any thoughts?

Simple but not helpful. My problem is that the organizatiion I work for went from a 16 letter domain to a 6 letter domain. much easier to type.
I'll consider it but it doesn;t really answer the question. What happens when people change their email for legitimate reasons and their iPhone refuses to agree to it?

Only some of my photo's are syncing from iPhoto to my iPad, iPhone and Apple TV.
It may be my own fault due to learning Aperture and playing around with the locations of the Master Files.
The thing I don't understand is that when in iPhoto all thumbnails of all photo's are able to be enlarged / edited etc. When a thumbnail is clicked on there is no gray triangle with an exclamation mark indicating that the link to the original photo can't be found. I would have thought this was ok for syncing to take place.
When trying to sync through iTunes to my iPad for example (after some photo's have been synced) a window comes up saying "Some of your photos, including the photo “_MG_3820.jpg”, were not copied to the iPad “Mark Harlen’s iPad” because they cannot be displayed on your iPad".
I thought this may be due to lack of memory space but my Apple TV (which has the same issue but not the same warning window) has over over 100 free GB's so that can't be it.
When I did a test and re imported one photo that wasn't being synced to my other devices, that photo consequently was then synced so maybe it has something to do with the path through iPhoto to the original files.
Is there any way I can re establish these links with out having to create an entire new iPhoto library from the originals (I have a lot of albums and have done a lot of editing etc and don't and want to have to do it all again).

I've decided to try ditching iPhoto and orgainising, syncing my photo's to all devices from Aperture
I have so far imported over 1200 photo's (relocating and renaming the master files as well) and find that when syncing through iTunes only 209 photo's are listed. The Projects/Albums are there but some indicate that there are 0 photo's in them when I know other wise (at least according to whats happing in Aperture)
I'm starting to suspect it may be a computer problem
Any thoughts?

PS: Just after posting this I restarted my computer, went into iTunes and my Apple TV started to sync. It was now syncing 854 photo's not 209 as before.

That is correct, I spoke with apple and they told me it's one or the other depending on which one you are actively using at the time. I think it would be very useful to have your phone still vibrate along with your watch, as I've noticed I don't feel the watch most times, even with the prominent touch selection on (i.e. when i'm driving) Then you'd be able to know you got a message or notification from your phone vibrating and then could check the watch, although there would be a second or two delay like when you receive a phone call.

Try restarting all devices including portable iOS ones and your router.
Check Airplay is not disabled in AppleTVs settings.

While ripping DVDs to my computer for playback in itunes, ipod, iphone, and apple tv, is there any way to rip a single copy that is supported by the previous devices?

My current problem is that when I rip a DVD to an iphone/ipod touch format with my ripping software, I have to convert the file to one supported by apple tv when I want to play the movie in apple tv. To clarify, I wish to rip the DVD once, with no file conversion in itunes, for playback and transfer to iphone/ipod touch and apple tv. I assume there is way to this by altering the ripping settings, perhaps trying 600-900 kps per second. I hope that there is a way to rip a DVD that can be played in the iphone and apple tv. IPhone and Apple TV

I have a 16Gb iPhone and Apple TV which I sync wirelessly to my PC. When I sync large amounts of new material to the Apple TV unit, I find that my iPhone freezes and, even after a forced hardware re-boot, does the same thing again after only a few seconds. Once the Apple TV sync has finished, the problem goes away and the iPhone works fine.
I suspect this is something to do with the large amounts of data flowing across my wi-fi network that the iPhone is also trying to connect to but has anyone else had this problem ?

I too recently got an Apple TV. And while I didn't think much about it, I did notice that at one time I was streaming from my computer (as the Apple TV syncs with my wifes/kids computer). And while streaming from my PC to the AppleTV when I went to sync I walked away but later found that it had hiccuped and did not sync my iPhone.
Something tells me maybe doing both at same time (syncing or streaming) is not something iTunes is good at.
Since then I have just made sure I wasn't having the Apple TV hitting my computer when I sync (not often that I do anyhow since my wifes/kids computer is the one mainly set for the AppleTV). Though I did tell her to just make sure the AppleTV isn't syncing when she syncs her iPhone (which unless she made any changes to anything in iTunes, it really shouldn't be.)

Okay. We have three Ipads in our house with only one Itunes account. When I go into imessaging and facetime on each of the devices, it wants to start switching my wife's cell phone and then the three emails associated with each Ipad to the contact information for all of the Ipads. As of this morning, only the imessaging and facetime are turned on my wife's iphone and ipad. My kids imessaging and facetime is turned off. Do you really have to have an itunes account for each device to make then work??? Any help would be very much appreciated.

There is only one solution. Each user must have their own separate user account. All of their respective data would be contained in their separate user accounts. This also means each will have a separate iTunes Library. If you all use the same third-party apps, then each will have to purchase their own copies under their own Apple IDs. IPhone and Apple BT answering problems

I have been experiencing problems with the iPhone and the Apple BT headset when answering phone calls. It seems that if a call comes and I try to answer it with the BT unit, a lengthy amount of time goes by until I actually here the phone ringing in the BT. Then the phone shows that the call is active and the ticker starts counting time, but there is no sound. If I pick up the phone and listen to it, there is no sound. When I push the BT button, there is no sound. If I use the phone and select an audio source, again, there is no sound when choosing any of the options, BT, Phone, Speaker. Callers have reported that they hear no sound either. Just a blank line before they hang up. Yes, I know...RESET. And that works...sometimes on the second or third try. Has any one else had this problem or know of a solution? It sounds like a bug...pun intended...

I have the same exact problem, except that for me, that exact things also happens when I am not connected to the bluetooth.
However, I restored my phone and it stopped the problem, but it wasn't until I paired my bluetooth with my car handsfree did the phone started doing the same problem again. Any fixes?

Iphone and Apple Home Stereo Box

I bought the Apple home stereo unit a few years back and have always used it to play my ipod and and recharge it. I just bought the iphone and when I put it in the slot the phone said that this device does not support charging the phone. Why would this be. IT works with my wife's Touch. Why would it not charge the phone, it's an Apple device after all

Apple has been gradually removing firewire support for iPods over the last few years.
Initially, all iPods charged and synced via firewire. Apple switched from syncing via firewire to USB with all iPods and continued to support charging via firewire.
The first generation iPhone supports syncing via USB and charging via firewire - many car kits and your Apple home stereo support charging via firewire.
Apple removed support for charging via firewire with the iPhone 3G and will follow suit with future iPod models. The firewire pins were removed from the dock connector with the iPhone 3G. The next generation iPod Touch will not support charging via firewire either.

Time Capsule Not Allowing Internet On iPhone and Apple TV

I have a Time Capsule (3rd Generation), an iMac, a MacBook Air, an iPhone 4, an iPad and an Apple TV (2nd Generation).
My Time Capsule is the provider for my Wi-Fi in the house, and I've only just set it up. The iPad, Air and iMac all work perfectly, but I have trouble with the Apple TV and the iPhone. They both let me connect to the network, but I'm unable to get any Internet signal on either. I've found that I can work around this by defining a static IP for each, but I hit problems when I leave the house with the iPhone, I have to then give it another IP address for it to work.
Has anybody any suggestions as to why it;
a) Won't automatically connect to the Internet and I have to give a static IP
b) Whenever I leave the house it makes me have to forget the network, reassign an IP and start again.
I also have two Windows PCs that work perfectly, and my girlfriend has an iPhone 3GS that can connect easily.

As the original poster, I too had issues with my iPhone 4 (4.2.1) and Apple TV 2 playing nice. The Airplay icon was visible for music, and worked perfectly. However, when watching a video, purchased through iTunes, only the "audio" option would be selectable for Airplay. After updating the Apple TV software, everything works perfectly well. When watching a video on my iPhone and selecting the Airplay icon, one of the options is to play "video" through the Apple TV, not simply audio.
It would have been nice to know that my Apple TV needed an update when I updated my iPhone 4 to 4.2.1.

I have been having some problems using my iPhone, and I am considering going to an Apple store for recourse. There are, however, a few potential obstacles, and I want to make sure that I am in a situation where going to an Apple store would be a feasible option.
The Problem
My iPhone 5, after long use, is now failing to charge. I have tried cleaning the charging port to no avail (I should note that I have exhausted most suggested methods, and I don't expect that I will be able to get the phone to begin working again on my own). As a result, my phone is dead and cannot be restored to life.
Potential Obstacles
Obtaining Service
My iPhone has seen better days. There is a small crack in the top right corner of the screen, and part of the screen is altogether missing. I do not want Apple to fix my screen, and I don't expect that the problems stem in any way from damage done to the external display of my phone. My phone likely can work, evidenced by the fact that when I hold the power button, the phone tells me that the battery is dead.
I consider this an obstacle because I may be denied service altogether for the damage to the phone. Any advice here would be appreciated.

I am a permanent resident of the United States, but I am studying abroad in Italy for the summer. I have access to an Apple store in Bologna, which would not be a great trek for me, but I am not sure whether they will be able to offer the same services.
Can Apple associates in the store there service a US Apple phone?

You can purchase a new iPhone but it will not be connected to your current phone plan in any way.
You could have your family get a new iPhone on their plan where they live and send it to you.

Help with multiple iPhones and Apple ID!

I have my iPhone 5S and my iPad Mini hooked up to my Apple ID. I recently gave my friend my old iPhone 4 for his birthday and it is also using my Apple ID. Whenever he changes/deletes the contacts in his phone, it changes mine. Is there any way to stop this but still allowing him to keep using my Apple ID?

No, not unless one of you stops syncing contacts with iCloud. When you share an iCloud account, all devices see the same data and any actions taken on one device is mirrored on all the others.

ITunes Match on iPhone and Apple ID Question

I am enabling match on my wifes iPhone, I know I have to use my Apple ID to do so, this brings me to the following:
I did notice something however, I know to make sure her iCloud uses her ID, however, when I go to messaging and look at the send/receive addresses, it shows the apple ID at the top. I would assume it would have to stay that way because she would be logged in under my ID to use match. I can log that in under another ID I see but then that would screw up her match, correct? So, I need to make sure that the "you can be reached by iMessage at" only uses her e-mails or phone number, same as the "start new conversations from"? I don't have her phone in front of me so I am not sure what it shows for her options for addresses. Maybe it will just show hers anyhow and I have no worries?
One of my main concerns with that is she should not have the ability to receive or send texts from any of my phone number/e-mail addresses. That will only cause confusion in my book. And, I suppose if I removed those addresses from her phone, consequently it may remove from mine? I guess I have to see her phone to see what happens, but hoping someone has input on this concern.

I understand fully. So, you are telling me that even though I have her signed into my Apple ID for iTunes, App Store and consequently iTunes match, I can still use her ID for facetime and messaging? For some reason, I was under the impression that once I log into store, match and iTunes, then that ID would carry over to messaging/facetime and show my ID. I know that the iCloud is not impacted, but I guess I thought those services were. You are saying they are the same as cloud as far as impact. Use her ID for them (cloud, message, facetime) but mine for match, app store and itunes store?
So, right now her phone is logged in for everything under her Apple ID. When I log hers into mine for the app store and iTunes and match, it wont change the message, icloud or facetime logins (meaning right now it is logged in under her ID, and suddenly they change to mine when I log in the store as mentioned). I have it in my head that if I do log her out of one of those, then it will log her out of itunes and all that as well. You are saying they are the same as iCloud.

IPads, iPhones, and Apple TVs can no longer load home sharing library after 2 years

I have been using home sharing for the past few years and streaming my music, movies, and TV shows to my Apple TVs, iPads, and iPhones. A couple weeks ago it stopped working. On all the devices I see the library (Familys Library) but when I go to load it fails to load. The iPads and iPones get to about half of the circle and fails. On the Apple TV I think the message just is "Cannot load Library"
I have tried restarting all of my devices but that has not helped. I changed the account that the home sharing is setup for and that did not help. I rebooted the Windows machine multiple times. I disabled home sharing, rebooted, restarted home sharing, all to no avail. The library system is connected over Etehrnet so I made the system to a different port on the router with no luck. I have also unplugged the router nad plugged it back in, also with no luck.
So, I will try replacing the ethernet cable but I do not see that as being the issue. It seems like something on that computer.
Going through the Programs it looks like iTunes and Quicktime were both updated on 3 June, right around the time this started to occur. I also loaded items for my duaghters Nook, Adobe Digital Editions, so that she can get books. I removed the items that I loaded for the nook and that did nto fix the issue. I would like to downgrade iTunes, but I cannot find an old copy of iTunes plus I do not know if this will destroy the library contents.
My questions would be
1. Can I find an older version of iTunes
2. Can itunes be removed from the computer and reinstalled without the iTunes library getting blown away? I have a lot of moveis and descriptions and information located in the Get Info that would just stink to lose
3. Could this be a corrupt library and is there a way t verify the library?
4. Any other things I can do and check
