IPhone and Enabling Hold Music!
Ya! Something that they seem to have forgotten. I would love the ability to be able to port a playlist from my iPhone's iPod to the hold feature on the iPhone.

Exception 1 would seem to be FORMATTING_ERROR, which suggests something in the design of the Smartform. However, that doesn't fit with the form being generated from a report, but only erroring when called from a function module. I can think of no reason why the different calling method would be a factor.
When FORMATTING_ERROR is raise it should also set a message ID and number, are you able to determine what they are?

I have been using IPHONE and sync my music from my computer. However, i can no longer do this. It all goes thru the same motions, but the newer songs i want to put on my phone are not there.
Please list what "tried everything" includes.

My iphone was randomly skipping songs and they would turn grey, so I restored my iphone and now my music is downloading as "Other" and isn't appearing on my iphone at all. What should I do?
Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.
Restart the device.
Restore as New.
Might also be a good idea to contact the carrier just to verify there are no account issues. -
Error message (-51) keeps coming up when I try to send music from iTunes to my iPhone and then the music won't come over. How can I fix this message?

The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.

How do I sync iPhone and iTunes so music deleted in iPhone is also deleted from iTunes?

Not sure this is possible as I have done some looking online and can't find an answer, but thought the experts here may be able to help me.
I have quite an extensive music library, at least 5000 songs. Problem is, I don't like/want to keep all of them, but to sit at the computer and listen to them one by one to delete is very painful. I have my iPhone plugged in and playing music all day at work. Is it possible to delete the song off of my iPhone and then sync in such a way that the same song is deleted from iTunes at a later date? Is this possible? I don't know if the music on the iPhone can override the music in iTunes....
Just in case it is helpful, I have the latest version of iTunes, run IOS 7.1.2 on a 4S

RentaCopYour iPhone actually gets the same form of files like songs from your iTunes library when you synchronise.
If you delete a song in iTunes library, it means that song will also be deleted in your iPhone when you sync.
However, if you delete a song in your iPhone, the song will recover after synchronization since iPhone copies files exactly from your iTunes library. -

Restored iphone and lost certain music
I had a problem with my iphone and had to restore it and I'm now trying to figure out how to get the songs I purchased from iTunes so that I can listen to them again on the phone. I can see them but when I'm playing music and I have it on shuffle it skips right by them. I also don't see them in my library in iTunes yet if I go to the store I can see that I have already purchased these particular songs.
I'm hoping this is an easy fix and I can listen to my purchased music again.
ThanksSorry, but officially Apple does not allow redownloads of purchased items. It's your responsibility to make backup copies in case something goes wrong with your system, as unfortunately it apparently did in your case, and you lose all the information on your hard drive. The official statement of their policy can be found here, among other places. If your hard drive was erased and you don't have a backup of your purchased items, and don't have them on an iPod, you're probably out of luck and will need to repurchase your tracks.
If you have your tracks on an iPod or have them backed up, post back and someone here can help you get them restored. Otherwise you can try contacting iTunes Store Customer Service and explaining what happened. Reportedly in some cases Apple has allowed redownloading on a one-time basis. But don't count on it. -
What is the best car adapter out there for the iPhone where I can charge my iPhone and also set it to listen to my iPod.

miami, flIf you mean that you've bought extra icloud storage then that will give you extra space for your backups, not on your phone. What are you trying to sync to your phone (HD films can be 5.5 gig+), and how much free space do you have on your actual phone (Settings > General > About > Available) ?

I have set up iCloud control panel 3.1 for Windows 7 but when I add contacts on my Windows 7 desktop it is not updating to my iPhone 5 and the same holds true with my Calendar. Any suggestions? Thanks

I want to make a new iTunes account, but I don't want to loose all of my previous purchases from my old account. Could I create a new account from y iPhone? And with that new account, could I use the icloud from the old account to sync my previous purchases?
Purchases are forever tied to the ID used to purchase them. If you create a new iTunes account, you can still get your old purchases on your phone, but you'd have to sign out of the iTunes/App store with your new ID, then sign in with your old ID, then download them. Also, apps can only be updated using the ID used to originally obtain them. So, you'd have to sign out/sign in to update your apps that were obtained with the old ID.

If your music was purcansed from the iTunes Store and your country allow is you can redownload it
Login to itunes as yourself on this computer then

You will also need to authorise that computer so you can play the content.
Ctrl B to turn on the top menu
Store > Authorise this Computer...
Type in your Apple ID and password and authorise. -
If I put my music onto iCloud can I delete the files from my iPhone and stream the music?
And if I do, will the quality be as good?
The answer is yes and no. If you are using the free iCloud services then the answer is no, it only serves as a backup for you phone, iPod, etc. However, if you use iTunes Match which costs 20 some dollars a year (I believe) you can stream your music from the cloud as well as videos. How that works? I do not know, I just knot that's one if the features with iTunes Match.

Since we downloaded the latest version of iOS on our iPad and iPhone, and synchronized our music collection in the Cloud, we can no longer see on our iPad and iPhone the music from our CD's that we have on our home computer's iTunes library. We can only see music in the iPhone and iPad library that have been purchased on iTunes. How can we get all our music from our computer's iTunes librbary visible on the iPhone and iPad?
