Iphone and Jabra car charger

I have a Jabra Bluetooth which has a car charger with a USB connection. It's output is rated at 5VDC/750mA. Is this by any chance compatible with the iphone 3Gs? Will it damage the iphone if I try to charge with it?
thanks

Thanks
The voltage is 12 volt (input). I assume the output is what matters, and it is 5V DC, and 750 mA. I don't know how to find out what the iphone car charger puts out, since that would show if it's compatible. I didn't see any listing in the iphone specs.

It's on recovery mode. Possible causes is, internet connection dropout/application updated on the pc, etc.

unplug and replug the phone on the pc and restore it as new.

  • Whenever I plug my iPhone into the car charger (professionally installed and hardwired), it comes up with the yellow triangle and exclamation mark saying that this accessory isn't supported.   It's been working quite fine since 2010, now it's not.

My iPhone car charger was professionally installed in 2010 and again in 2013 and had been working perfectly for all of this time, now it's coming up with the yellow triangle and the text saying that this accessory isn't supported.    Is there an easy way to fix this without tearing everything to bits?    It all appears to have gone boonta about 3 upgrades ago and I haven't been able to use it since.
I've seen and tried the suggestions on Google, none of them work for long, and I'm certainly not going to tear the car kit or phone apart to overcome something that is obviously a software issue.    Surely Apple can overcome this?
And the bloody "Terms and Conditions" fiasco!   55 pages of mumbo jumbo that nobody would read EVER, and you get to the end and nothing happens.   I've bought an app from Apple to use on their product and I can't install it because the Terms and Conditions doesn't accept anything.   Surely they can fix this?
    Come on.....waiting.

  • IPhone 5 in car charger?

Can I use my iPhone 4 car-charger with my iPhone 5 if I use the lightning to usb cable ?
Does the new Iphone use the same current as the iPhone 4 ?
    Cheers

Yes, that's exactly what I did.  I keep an iPad-compatible charger in my car's accessory port, and then I keep both a 30 pin cable for my iPad and a Lightning cable for my iPhone 5 in the car, and I just swap them into the charging port for the device I need to charge.
Even if you have an iPhone-only capable 12 volt to USB power converter in your car, it will charge fine as the power requirements are the same between iPhones.

  • Charging iPhone with iPod car charger/FM Transmitter - Damage battery?

I used a new ipod car charger/FM transmitter to charge my old original model iphone and got a message popping up that the device isn't made to charge the iphone but it would charge so I left it in. Ever since then, my battery seems to be dying much, much faster than normal. Could I have damaged the battery?

Possible that the circuitry or output levels of the charger was not an exact match to the desired voltage or resistance of the 30 PIN connector and thus caused an issue with the battery...but it's not very likely that this alone caused your battery to all of a sudden not hold a charge...

  • Belkin and Kensington Car Charger

I have both a Belkin charger and a Kensington charger/fm transmitter that I''ve used for several years for my 3rd gen. ipod. Will these work with the phone? I'm not concerned with the fm transmitter working, I would use that one for charging only. I don't want to damage the phone and will buy a new one if necessary but would like to use what I have if possible.
    Thanks for your help,
    John

pretty much any accessory designed for an iPod with dock connector, should do no harm to an iPhone via the dock.
they're all designed to work with +5V dc, which is what those car chargers should supply.
i've had no issues with my iPhone being damaged by accessories designed for iPods

  • Iphone and integrated car stereo

I have several apps on my phone that have an Ipod button for controlling the music while playing the stereo in the car. Before the last update I could have the GPS or other similar program running on my Iphone, but could also navigate to my Itunes and select the music/playlists, etc.. Since the last update, I can still navigate to my songs, but I cannot select the artist or playlist while the Iphone is plugged into the car stereo. If I remove the Iphone from the car jack I can navigate the songs fine.

I don't know if the you haver the same radio as my 08 Maxima but if you go to your local Nissan dealer you can get the iPod interface installed. Interface System for iPod® is not available for HYBRID models or models with factory navigation system. Or your radio should have the AUX jack that is in between the "Clock" and the "Scan" button and should say "AUX IN" if you have that then all you need is a 3.5MM wire (3.5mm to 3.5mm cable) example

  • Iphone and my car stereo

I just bought an iphone 3G and want to know if I can connect my iphone to my car stereo system (08 Nissan Altima Coupe w/factory Bose sound system) so I can listen to my downloaded music. I believe my car is equipped for this but need to know what adaptor to buy. Any one with input would appreciated!

  • IPhone and Bluetooth Car question???

HELP! Can't figure out how to do this...Seems like one product does this and another product does that...So I came here looking for help Maybe I'm asking for too much. LOL
What I want is a product that I can get Handsfree for in my car (since our state is making it illegal to talk on cellphone without having handsfree, plus I don't want to use a bluetooth ear piece), have the phone call go through my car speakers, keep phone charged and then also use the function of the iPod with my radio controls without having to use the actual iPhone to control what I want to listen to.
Is that too much to ask for? LOL Is there such a product. I found this...it's close, but no cigar:

Check out Parrot BT car kits. They have a couple models that should do what you're looking for.

  • IPhone and New Cars

    Hi all,
I know for a fact that many of the popular docking/speaker devices out there for the iPod are not necessarily recommended for the iPhone. In fact, devices that are specifically made to accommodate the iPhone have that "label" prominently displayed on their packaging such as JBL's OnStage3.
My question is, with new cars rolling out docking stations for MP3 players and, in some instances, iPods, does anyone know of a vehicle that has the "Designed for the iPhone" label. I ask because I had an Apple store tech tell me that unless the device is specifically designed for the iPhone, the device could damage the iPhone.
    Anybody run into this issue?

I guess you will have to send a request to Apple to update the software for this function. I cannot see any need to access e-mail or texts while driving unless you want to get into an accident.

  • Wall and/or Car charging iPod Touch 32GB with cell phone/other USB charger

I know the "stock" answer is to buy an iPod compatible charger for my $300 device, but while traveling, it's nice to pack less gadget chargers and more gadgets
Can I safely charge my iPod Touch with my LG Phone charger ("5.1V - .07A" output)?
I also have a wall charger for my Flip Video ("+5VDC, 1A(5W)")
Does anyone have the specs for an Apple brand iPod Touch 32GB charger?
    Thanks!!

My experience is that you just have to try 3rd party USB chargers. Some work, some don't, and it doesn't appear to just be the power specs. I had a 3rd party charger that ran my iPod 5G video just fine, but didn't work on my Touch 32GB (1st gen). My Apple charger is 5 volts/1 Ampere, as is my Kensington that also works.
You might mention what generation your IPT 32GB is, in case someone knows of some difference.
