IPhone and My Computer
When I connect my iPhone to my laptop or any other computer, it won't show up in My Computer so I can get photos and pictures I've saved off of it. It shows up in iTunes just fine, but won't be recognized as a camera or anything by My Computer.
Thoughts?
This is a new laptop, so iTunes is already up to date since I just installed it, the drivers for Apple Mobile were last updated 7/2009, and everything else on the page checked out. But I get the impression that the page was just to help people make the iPhone connect to iTunes, which mine is doing. I just need to make it show up under My Computer so I can access my photos.
I know for a fact that it used to show up there about a month ago, but for some reason it stopped.

I have an iPhone and when I got it, I had a Toshiba laptop. Now I have a MacBook Pro, but when I try to wi-fi sync my iphone and new computer, it doesn't work because on my iphone it is still trying to sync with my old computer. How I can fix this?
Move the content from the old computer to the new computer.
Sync the iPhone via cable to the new computer and enable Wi-Fi syncing.
It should now be possible to sync via Wi-Fi to the new computer. -
I just bought OS X Lion and now it says I need to go to the App store and pay even more money to get a newer iPhoto for PhotoStream to work between my iPhone and my computer. Is this a rip off to make us pay more $ or is there another way to update iPhoto?

I believe my kid gave somebody my password to download something. And I want to know who? Can it say For example: "2 iPads, 2 iPhones and 1 computer used your Apple ID ?"
Only if they went to the trouble of setting their device up as a "Managed Device" on your ID.

I have recently been experiencing problems with my iPhone and iCloud backup. My iPhone tells me I have not backed it up to iCloud in over 4 weeks, when in actually it was 2 days ago. So I plug my phone into my laptop and click - 'Back up to iCloud'. It runs and when complete, it tells me 'Your iPhone has never been backed up to iCloud.' Even I after I have just completed the function.
Can someone help shed light on what the problem is?To backup to iCloud, you actually backup on your phone, not your computer. To backup to iCloud, you MUST be connected to wifi. While on wifi, go to Settings> iCloud (sign into iCloud if you haven't yet)> Sorage & Backup> Backup Now. You get 5GB of complimentary iCloud storage. For most people, that's enough. iCloud backup stores app data (game progress, login, etc), contacts, calendars, notes, and photos. The apps themselves and your music can be retrieved in the iTunes and app stores for free again by going to the purchased area.

Coordinating emails between 2 iphones and one computer
I just bought my wife an iphone and now we both have access to email on the road (gmail). Previously, I just shut off the auto check for my account on the computer, but now with two I need both iphones to be able to check email. When Im on the road though, as soon as my wife checks email, all mine are downloaded and no longer accessible to the iphone, and of course the opposite is true. Ive tried setting gmail and mail to fix this, but I havent had luck. Is there a setting I can adjust to make this work?
A lot of this i would think would come down to how you've set up your e-mail account wether for push (i don't know if gmail supports this) imap or pop. Imap sounds like what you are using now, this sends the email messages to your devices and in the process removes them from the server. Push would be your best option if you can set it up to access directly off the internet server. If push isn't supported then pop would be your best option it will send a copy of the email to your phone for you to read and reply to without removing it from the server though deleting it off the phone will not delete it from your account and you would need to log into gmail to remove the emails later. By far the best option is a push email setup where you access the emails directly on the internet server rather than downloading them to your phone this gives you full access as if you where sitting in front of a computer though if your wife deletes one of your emails it will be completely gone. i use this setup with my wifes and my iPhone using MobileMe and it works really well though obviously there is a yearly fee for MobileMe. Either way check out which method you are using to view and access your emails.

I am going to get an iPhone soon and I was wondering if it could be used with different computers. I am going to use my main computer at my house but not the iTunes on it. I am going to use the iTunes on my friends computer because they have my type of music. Is it possible to use their iTunes on their computer and still use my computer as the main one?
Also I wanted to know how much I will have to use the computer because if it is only a little bit, I will just use their computer as the main one. However, if it is used a lot, I would want to use mine and then theirs for the iTunes only. Contact info, calendar events, and Safari bookmarks can be synced with the supported applications on multiple computers.
The iTunes account logged in to with iTunes when syncing is the iTunes account that is available on the iPhone for purchasing music or purchasing free or paid 3rd party apps via the App Store on the iPhone. Doubtful this person will want their iTunes account available on your iPhone which could lead to potential problems - especially if you need to restore your iPhone with iTunes if wanted or needed.
You really need to use iTunes on your computer for syncing iTunes content - import your own music into your iTunes library from music CDs and/or purchase your own iTunes music and 3rd party apps with your iTunes account. Doing this with someone else's iTunes library other than you own is considered stealing. -
HT201412 My phone number is not known on my iPhone and my computer does not recognize the device.
I updated to ios 6 and now nothing is working on my phone. It does not have a phone number and the computer doesn't recognize the device when plugged in.
The only way it accepts a charge is by electric outlet plugin.Try going to Settings>Messages>Send & Receive and uncheck the email address(es) shown under "You can be reached by iMessage at". If that doesn't work, you'll have to tap the ID, sign out, then sign back in with a different Apple ID for iMessage.

I can't connect any of my devices to my iTunes. Anytime I plug one of them into my computer I get a new hardware wizard window that pops up and I can seem to load anything from an iPod or iPhone if I run the wizard. Any helpers? I've been using iTunes on this computer for a very long time and this is the first time that this wizard has shown up ever. Please help.

After syncing, my phone still has all of my apps, contacts, email accounts, etc., but it seems to only recognize my husband's itunes account. When I try to buy an app, it has his account and asks for his password. Also, anything I have in the cloud is actually in his account. When I look at the cloud under settings it has his itunes account, but no way to change it. Help!!! I just want to know how to make it recognize my itunes account again. Thanks for any help anyone can offer!

Yes. My wife and I do this. You can sync as many as you like to one computer. Each is a different device and can be set up to sync whatever you like.

Yes. Disable automatic syncing on both computers - to avoid an accidental sync. Then set the work computer to sync calendar and not to sync anything else ( done via the taps in itunes). Do the same at home, only select to sync everything but calendar. -
My iphone and my computer are no longer communicating
I tried to get a new application for my son on his computer and then transfer it to my iphone, but when I did, all of my applications got wiped out. Then when I went onto my computer, the iphone never came up when I connected them. All of a sudden, it was like my computer and my iphone were not recognizing each other. Sounds like 2 problems. The first is because the iPhone can only sync with one computer at a time. If you sync it to a different computer it replaces everything on your phone with content on the new computer. It warns you about this, but you apparently went ahead and did it anyway.

I got a new iPhone 3gs, but had a broken laptop at the time. I set up iTunes on the phone and went on holiday. Whilst on holiday, my iPhone was stolen. Now I am back, my laptop is fixed (but had to be completely wiped and so iTunes and apps lost), and I have just received my replacement iPhone.
I have downloaded iTunes, and put in my iTunes login, and was hoping my apps would magically appear, but they don't seem to be anywhere.
I'm worried that because my iPhone was not plugged into my computer after downloading the apps and before losing the phone, I have lost them completely, and some of them were quite pricey and I downloaded loads.
Any advice appreciated, or should I just cut my losses and give up trying and just start again?Log into iTunes, view your account and *Purchase history* to see what you have purchased.

Partner is no longer around and i have bought another iMac pc which will not let me sync the phone.
I have gone through itunes wi-fi to sync but the phone wont allow me to sync books, music, photos and tones because it under expartners macbbok air.
