Iphone App and a VM

Hi Guys,
Has anyone got any experience of connecting the Iphone App to SAP B1 within a VM ?
I have completed and configured everything that needs to be done and tried connecting to the VM IP Address, the Laptop IP Address, etc however, It will not connect. I am begining to think that this will just not work on a VM.
Has anyone succesfully connected the App to a VM ???
Any thoughts or tips greatly appreciated

Hi Lisa,
Thanks for the advice, unfortunately even though they are on the same network, I can also ping the Iphone on the network and can occasionally get the Iphone to ping the server they just will not connect through the mobile app.
I even attended a workshop on this with SAP and with the experts there we could not get it to work, though at the time it was suspected that it may have been our anti-virus software Sophos being the evil culprit, however, having removed that from the equation it still will not talk.
Sadly the only conclusion I can draw is that it just plain will not work on a VM !

I found an answer to this on another page (I was having the same problem) This worked for me:
Double-click the Home button.
Swipe left or right until you have located the app you wish to close.
Swipe the app up to close it.

I was looking at the "Find my iPhone" app and I have a doubt regarding how it works for the macbook. In order to detect the location, the macbook should remain signed into iCloud. What if the thief logs out of iCloud. Would we able to locate the macbook?

It should work fine for iPhone/iPad because we can enable "Restrictions" to prevent the user from signing out of iCloud. Do we have simialr settings for the macbook?

If it's not on the device list, it indicates that someone has gone to Find My iPhone on icloud.com and manually deleted it from the device list (as explained here: http://help.apple.com/icloud/#mmfc0eeddd), and it has not gone back online since (which would cause it to reappear on the device list; Find My iPhone has been turned of in settings on the device; the iClolud account has been deleted from the device; or the entire devices has been erased and restored.
Unfortunately, there's no other way to track the phone other than through Find My iPhone. You could call your carrier and see if they would blackliste it so at least the theif couldn't use it.

The phone will automatically re-appear when it connects to the Internet. However, don't get your hopes up, as thieves know this & will make sure your phone never re-connects so you can locate it.

did you turn 'find my mac' ON your MBA BEFORE your it was stolen? if not, you will not be able to do anything to the stolen MBA
if you did turn it on before it was stolen, yes it will erase everything on the MBA

When I try to connect to itunes, It states ''The sim card of this phone is PIN locked - please enter the PIN code of your SIM card and connect again to iTunes" however I don't have the option to enter the Pin code on my phone as on my phone screen it states "your iphone could not be activated because the activation server is temporaily unavailable"

And again, the downloadable app has nothing to do with making your iPhone discoverable by find my iphone. The app is used by a device to find another device which has had the trackable feature enabled in its iCloud account settings. Simply having the app on a device does NOT make that device trackable. In order to be able to find a device, you need to have an iCloud account on that device, and you need to enable the find-my-iPhone setting under that account - nothing to do with the app at all.

Well its defintiely nothing that Apple can activate to fix this. They would be able to troubleshoot with you though. This may be able to be resolved if its something software related.

My area of interest is in business and economic history. There is a considerable amount of reading and charting. Until the iPad hit the streets, I only considered stacks of books, journals, and downloaded documents, all marked up with highlighters, underlines, and marginal notes.
Most of my PC based work involved MS Office, Endnote, and MS OneNote.
What I would like to do with the iPad and MacBook are the same things (Office, Endnote, OneNote) and add the ability to read and markup all forms of printed materials from books to pdf to webpages.
I cut my teeth on an iPod Touch and have tried a lot of the note taking and reading apps. Without a camera the standard iPod Notes works for short quick notes and long think pieces. I just emailed the content and downloaded the stuff to my PC. Obviously, I do not want to continue at this "non-integrated" level of work.

Apple will not track it for you unless with Find my iPod. Again, whether you have the app or not doesn't matter, I believe you still had the service enabled. It doesn't hurt to try. http://icloud.com, click Find my iPhone after you sign in.

TS3376 just installed find my iphone app and when I logged in on the app and on the computer, it showed the location of someone else's iphone in the same building as me!!!! how does this happen and what do i do to see mine instead?

Not unless it goes back online. If it was stolen it may have been restored, in which case it will never appear again in Find My iPhone.

Normally, you d want to connect to computer, iphone had been synced with previously. If computer does not exist you may have to enter phone in recovery mode, just search youtube for iphone recovery.

iWork is universal, so it will work full-res on the iPad. This is true for any app which has the plus sign symbol (in the App Store in iTunes it will say "This app is designed for iPhone and iPad".
