Iphone app can't find my iPhone

I did the search but did not really find any answer.
Situation is:
two different iPhones each runing latest software
both are connected to iCloud for "find my phone"
Phone A can not find itself using the Find My Phone app.
Phone B can find itself but can't find A
Phone A can find B
seems like A is not going to iCloud as it should but have turned it off and on several times in iCloud
Check several settings and made sure A and B were on the internet
Restrictions are off
Locations are all the same on each phone.
Have cancelled iCloud on A and re-established.
This is a real stumper.
Any help or input will be greatly appreciated.

I have tried every thing suggested on here to try and fix this but the Logic Remote iPad app can't find my iMac running Logic Pro X.

The hp printer control app can not find my eprint email.

I have an iPad 2 and I've installed the hp printer control app on it. The app can not find my eprint email which I've typed in several times. I have checked the eprint email on the printer control panel to make sure it is the correct eprint email. The printer is a office pro 8600.

Apps can't find the printer

my wife's ibook was set up for her at the school where she teaches. She was designated as a user, and the tech director was the administrator. But he's now left the school, and the new guy has no knowledge about macs. Last week the computer crashed while she was working in Mail. Somehow, that crash deeply affected administrator and user access including keychain access, printers, and the Microsoft user database.
I did my best to repair the damage, changing her status to administrator, rebuilding the database, and now most things seem to work OK. I deleted the former administrator, and a test user, using the Accounts preference.
One thing i still can't fix is printing. She uses two printers at work, and one at home. Testing on the home printer, the Epson utility works just fine to check ink levels and print a test page. But I have not yet been able to print from any application like Word or Safari. I have tried placing the print driver in two or three different locations simultaneously, but these apps can not find that driver. Personally, I am now seriously wondering if there's a virus in her system.
Before I do a fresh install of Tiger, I thought I'd ask here if I am missing some obvious solution. Any help is appreciated.

Hi Jim,
There's an Apple article that has helped other Epson ownsers. Have a look at this article (http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=301631) to see if this is the issue.
If it doesn't help, can you explain what happens when you try to print. Does the printer icon appear in the dock? If you open the printer spooler, does it give some information about the job you have just attempted to print?
Also, have a look at the Console application (in Utilities) and open the file /var/log/cups/error_log. This will give some insight as to what is going wrong. It may still be a permissions issue...

Trouble adding printer to HP ePrint Home and Biz iPhone app - can't find printer's email address

I'm trying to connect my HP Photosmart c6380 to my iPhone. I already downloaded the app and my printer is connected to my wireless network, as is my iPhone, but I can't add my printer to the app.
When I go to "Manage ePrinters" and try to add a printer with the + button I see 3 choices:
Add ePrinter from list: "No ePrinters available"
Add Manually: I can't find the printer's email address even using the instructions found at the ePrint center.
Add from WiFi Network: My printer isn't shown in this list so it does not support auto discovery.
So I'm guessing that if I could just find my printer's email address that would connect it to my iPhone for wireless printing, but I can't for the life of me find it.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

I have bad news and good news. The bad news is that your printer is not Airprint/ePrint capable. However, the good news is that with the HP ePrint Home and Biz iPhone app it does not need to be Airprint/Eprint capable, as long as it is connected to the same network as your phone.
Here are the steps you will want to take to print something:
1. Setup the app by completing the email registration and entering the code (which I believe you have).
2. Select the item you wish to print using the menu in the app (Photo Albums, Saved Files, Web Browser, etc.).
3. Once you select the item you should see the item and a large "Print" button under it.
4. If the printer you want to print to is not listed above the "Print" button, select the icon on the right (wrench/computer) and select the printer you wish to use (along with other settings).
5. Tap on the "Back" button in the top left corner, then tap "Done" (blue button in the top right corner), and then tap the "Print" button to print your item.

i was at a pool hall tonight and i forgot my bag with ipad in it there. i returned but coud not find it can "find my ipad" work without app set up? can i track it down? (yes i went back to the pool hall but they didnt have it, my chinese is poor and since im in china following a signal would be easier than the appropriate channels i.e. police.)

You do not have to have the Find My iPhone app installed. That app is for finding other devices. What you have to have done is enabled Find My iPad in Settings>iCloud. If you have not done that, there is no way to track the device.

Printer Control iPad app can't find OfficeJet 8500 909g even though HP ePrint can

The HP Printer Control app for iPad can't find the HP OfficeJet 8500 909g. The printer is properly connected to the wireless network and was found easily by the HP ePrint iPad app (and by my computer's utility and scan apps). But when that ePrint app suggested I use the Printer Control to do mobile scanning, the PC app still couldn't find the printer.

This is an expected behavior as only ePrint enabled devices are supported by the HP PRinter Control app, the specific model is not supported as you may listed below within the full chart of any supported products for the different mobile apps:

After upgrading to 10.6.8, apps can't find fonts

I recently upgraded to OX 10.6.8 (MacBook Pro). Now Quark Xpress and Microsoft Word can't find the fonts. They both see the same list of fonts. The fonts are all windows true type fonts (.ttf). The list of fonts available does not include all the .ttf fonts in the library. There is no font folder anywhere that has only the fonts that these two apps see in it. The apple apps I tested see all the fonts in the library.
How do I make the fonts available to the non-apple applications?

iOS upadates are NOT in the App Store. Also, 1st gen iPads do not run iOS 6. 5.1.1 is the most recent version for that model.
You will need to connect the iPad to a computer running itunes in order to update form anything prior to 5.0. Update over WiFi wasn't available until 5.0.

Just a note, that I do not have the Install DVD, if it came with my package when I first got it, I don't remember seeing it and I don't know where it went too. It's not even a year.
How else can I download and install iChat? I never had iChat on my MBP. I found iChat AV 2.1 available for download, but it's outdated for my MBP. I do have the latest OS update, 10.7.3.

It's not there either, when I click on the "download" in my purchases in the app store, it doesn't download, as if I never clicked it. I bought all of the necessary updates prior to updating to the mountain lion and it still isn't working.

It seems that this application is not getting internet access. You might want to try uninstalling and re-installing the application.
You might also want to check on the setting on the Mac firewall.
From this link (apple support site).
Open System Preferences.
Click the Security or Security & Privacy icon.
Select the Firewall tab.
Click the lock icon in the preference pane, then enter an administrator name and password.
Click the Firewall Options button
Click the Add Application (+) button.
Select the app you want to allow incoming connection privileges for.
Click Add.
Click OK.

How can I find my stolen iphone 3Gs

My iphone 3GS was stolen in March. I believe there is a new simcard (and phone number) in it. If I use "mobile.me" and the "find my iphone" app, can I find my phone? In other words, will it look for the serial number on the phone, or simply for the sim card with my old phone number?

Other than using Mobile Me, there's really no other way to locate your iPhone. Most likely the person who has stolen your phone has already replaced the SIM card and is using it with his/her account.
Be sure to call AT&T to deactivate the SIM. Neither AT&T nor Apple will assist law enforcement with tracking down your phone.
