IPhone app not working
OK folks, we might have to dig deep for this answer b/c it might be very specific to my iphone and iTunes app.
I've had trouble logging on to Bank of America online banking via my iPhone 4s app (most recent app). I've never had this same trouble before a few weeks ago. I've been in touch with Bk of Amer tech support as well as Comcast (Xfinity) tech support about the issue. When I use the Bk of Amer iPhone app the program never lets me go beyond my online ID even though there is no doubt that its the correct online ID. I checked with Bk of Amer on that. After talking to everybody I thought I'd just try to login without WIFI which I have in my home via Comcast. And "Voila" I was and am still able to get through the app and gain access to my account. I've tried several times to get in after I go back to WIFI and it acts the same, no access. After some time of spinning gear I get a messsage that there is a "Connection Error, try back later".
Comcast tells me that as long as I can gain access to my account by using our iMac or my Macbook then the WIFI problem is not theirs. They suggested I check with Apple. Has anyone experienced this? It's the only app in my iPhone 4s that does this. I can gain access to all my other online accounts.
I have the same problem. It's totally annoying. Tried reinstalling the app and the same thing...all fine on cellular network but nothing on wifi

You can't.
If its not a universal app, you are stuck with the phone version unless you buy the HD version.
Look for the 2x button on the screen with app open. -
Iphone apps not working on phone
I downloaded and bought quite a few apps.... it was working for awhile but now everytime i try to enter an app it pulls up for a second and just quits and returns to the home screen (this only happens on the apps i downloaded from the app store) i've tried on/off and backing up and restoring the phone and it happens the same. I think it would work if i didn't back up the phone and start over by downloading the apps... but i paid for these apps.... is there any way around this?
If the apps show up in iTunes on the computer, then you can safely remove the apps from the iPhone, then reinstall them back on the phone with a sync.
In iTunes, on the left side where you see "Applications", make sure the apps are listed there. If so, connect the iPhone, and in the "Applications" tab, uncheck all the apps listed, then click Apply. This will remove the apps from the phone (and transfer any from the phone to the computer that may not be on the computer already). Once that is complete, make sure your phone has no applications except for the default ones. After that, re-check the apps you want to install back on the phone, hit apply, and go from there. Sometimes a simple reinstall will fix many of these issues. -
Each time i selct and open it tries to open it for a second then it flashes off my screen and returns to my home page, it does this for every app i try to open. Any ideas?
A reset might cure this, but the commonly quoted remedy is to just download another app - it can be any old free one. This apparently fixes it.

For Find My Phone to work, you must first turn it on in Settings > iCloud before the iPhone is stolen, and the iPhone MUST be turned on and connected with the Internet. If not, it is not possible to locate it. Report the theft to the police, change all passwords associated with accounts on the iPhone, contact your carrier in case the can blacklist it.

Apps not working over 3G for iphone 5 (iOS 7)
I have i5 & recently updated to iOS7. Very frequently, my apps don't work over the 3G network, however, they do so over Wi-fi. Fb, emails, whatsapp and many more apps dont work over 3G. Safari works. Have tried resetting network settings and hard reset, but no solution. The trend for apps not working is very random, sometimes they do work, sometimes they don't. Its very irritating. Anybody with a solution.

I performed an iOS 7 software update on my iPhone yesterday, and now the phone is not working at all. The iPhone screen shows to connect to iTunes to restore. I've have done this, and still the iPhone is not working. What going on?
I have no idea what may have caused your MacBook to stop working, but from your description it kind of sounds like it may have started before you ran Software Update and installed the new Apps. Just the general slow feeling and bugginess is what tips me off. You said that you weren't sure if you had closed all open windows, that doesn't matter if the computer restarts itself. It automatically closes all other open applications when restarting.
As to your data being retrievable, if when you take it in they do a fresh install of the OS, then no, it will not be unless you want to pay several thousand dollars to a software retrieval company.
I am glad to hear that you have taken into the Apple Store to get it fixed, and that you have all of your purchased music backed up to your iPod. You should be able to just transfer it all back to iTunes once you get your computer back should it be necessary.
As a side note, the proper place for this topic would probably in the MacBook forums, not iTunes since there is no evidence that iTunes started the issue. -
Default Mail app not working with yahoo mail. Won't update.

It stopped working the other day. I tried everything but it wouldn't update new mail. The yahoo account itself is fine because I can see new mail on Yahoo or a yahoo app.
I tried deleting the account and putting it back on, but now it has 0 mail in any part of it. Nothing has synced.
What do I do?
iPad 2 latest OS.A lot of people have been unable to access Yahoo e-mail on their iPhones or iPads. My wife’s iPad was not downloading Yahoo mail, although her iPhone was. Both used IOS 8.2. We tried deleting the account several times and troubleshooting all of the other settings. The problem appears to have been that allowing the IOS to automatically create the account on the iPad resulted in the wrong settings for the incoming server. The following procedure, pieced together from two websites, fixed the problem for us. So far, so good.

On the iPhone, tap Settings.
Tap Mail, Contacts, Calendars.

Enter the following incoming mail server information:

Tap Next.
The iPhone will establish an SSL connection to your IMAP and SMTP servers.

Did you try to reset the phone by holding the sleep and home button for about 10sec, until the Apple logo comes back again?
You will not lose data by resetting.
Did you make sure that the flash is activated in the camera app? Did you try to switch it off, take a photo and switch it back on again?
To make sure that this is not software related, set it back to factory settings, without using any backup data afterwards. Set up the rest of the personal settings manually and test the camera. If it still does not work, this is a hardware issue and the phone has to be serviced by Apple or an Authorized Apple Service Provider:

Easy fix. Rename your iPhone so that the word "iPhone" is not part of the name.
Hondalink will immediately recognize the device. Just spoke with Honda customer service and this is what they suggested. It worked right away. -

The first thing I recommend is quitting and relaunching the applications on your iPhone:
Double-click the Home button.
Swipe left or right until you have located the app you wish to close.
Swipe the app up to close it.

If you are still seeing the same issue after quitting and relaunching the iTunes Store, I recommend restarting your phone and then resetting if it's still not working:
Restarting your device
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red "slide to power off" slider appears, and then slide the slider.
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.
Note: Reset your device only if you are unable to restart it.
Resetting your device
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
