IPhone app update error

I get an error (payment) when I try to update apps. I logged into Apple store and made sure payment info is correct. It is a credit card. Error says PayPal not supported. Please help.

For your Mac have you tried the troubleshooting for error 8003 on this page : iTunes: Advanced iTunes Store troubleshooting - click the 'expand all' link towards the top of the page and then search for '8003' (it's just below halfway down the page).
For your phone what have you tried e.g. logging out and back into your account on it, closing the App Store app via the phone's taskbar, a soft-reset (pressing and holding both the home and sleep button for 10 to 15 seconds).

Error while downloading iPhone app updates

Yesterday I tried to download two iPhone app updates. The app store showed the two updates that were available, but when I tried to update them, it kept giving me an error message saying that my iTunes store request could not be completed. I am up to date on iPhone, iTunes, and OS X software, so I don't know why it did this. I had no problem downloading the updates directly to my iPhone. Any ideas? I did catch my wife a few weeks ago plugging her iPhone into the Mac while I was logged in (we have separate user accounts on the computer). I immediately ejected it from iTunes and unplugged it. I didn't notice any changes after that, either in my iTunes library or on her iPhone. Did this make any changes that I may not have noticed? Also, this past weekend I purchased some music in my iTunes account and had no problems downloading it and syncing it to my iPod.
Edit: I guess I should have seen the Error 5002 thread. That is what mine is doing. Itunes account set for 1-click. No problem on iPod, just on iPhone apps.

I'm having the same problem. The download finishes and then it says an unknown error occurred. It says it has something to do with my network connection, but I don't think that's the problem.
Did you find a solution yet?
I tried to reinstall iTunes but it didn't work.

Iphone ios7 update error "account not in this store"

hi all, with ios7 update iphone keeps giving error " account not in this store" and some apps can not update because of this.
any ideas how to solve it? all details: country, payment details are correct. Itunes account is same with same country but even after syncing the error remains.

Update: This problem only occurs when trying to UPDATE apps, not buy or download brand new ones. Further, it only fails to update apps that I purchased previously.
I tried downloading some new apps from within the phone, and this worked fine, and later they updated fine, also within the phone. But the older apps still give the same error when I try to update them.

Apple ID blocked on iPhone app updates, Mastercard no longer recognized

All the sudden my Mastercard (canada) is no longer recognized. I checked with my bank and everything seems to be fine from their side.
Every time I type the security code, it gives me the message that " this card cannot be used with the itunes store".
After several attempts, I gave up and modified my account to payment "None" option.
They don't want my money: ...fine
Now what is more annoying is that I can't update my apps anymore on my iPhone. I get the message "Apple ID blocked". However, I am able to visualize my ID on the iPhone. I modified my password. Nothing helped. I tried another ID I have from having lived for many years in Europe. All the time my Canadian ID pops up on the App update function with the message "Apple ID blocked".
Can anybody help with that? If this continues, I am seriously thinking about legal action as I paid for these apps and now I can't access up-to-date functions for a software which I own. Any ideas if there are some consumer defense organizations out there to help with that.
I am seriously fed up with all the time lost with this problems (3 days spending my time working on this problem now!!!!)

So I purchased Navigon app on my iphone 4 with my iTunes account id then got a new iPhone 4s and signed in with the required Apple ID and now Navigon app does not recognize me as its owner. When I try to restore purchases I make on the app it tells me to buy it first. The problem seems to be it defaults to my Apple ID when I am asked for a password and does not give me the option of using my iTunes account ID and password which is what I used when I purchased the app. HELP?

App update errors (0xE800002E)

I get this message in itunes 7.7.1.11 when syncing updates to apps:
"the application (name) was not installed on the ipod (name of ipod) because an unknown error occurred (0xE800002E)"
five updates are refusing to install. they also will not install directly to the ipod touch via wifi from the app store.
any ideas??

A solution (not a work-around) has been posted by John Faughnan ([jfaughnan|http://discussions.apple.com/profile.jspa?userID=155438]) on 2008-09-12. Follow this ([link|http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=8073647#8073647]) to his reply in another thread.
This is +*not a work around*+, it does seem to correct the problem and allow future updates to be installed without this error.
It is reported that the application data is NOT LOST with this process. You'll have to re-enter a few passwords and rearrange all your icons (again), but that's a small price to pay for a permanent resolution to this problem.
I had this problem and worked-around (turn off sync of one or more apps, sync removes the app and it's data, then turn on sync of the specific apps again, syn and they are working again...) BUT... it all fails at the next update again.
I just used this fix to correct the problem, and decided not to sync music/pic until the next day. All my app data was there, for example, in WhosHere, all the conversations were intact and in ShopShop had my shopping list. I'm happy.
Two of my apps failing this update were Twinkle and ShopShop. Both completed the app update perfectly with all data in tact from before this fix.
The solution linked above does not lose the app data and afterward updates are successfully installed.

Lumia 1020; app update error 80073cf6 after cyan ...

I updated my Lumia 1020 to the Nokia Cyan firmware today. Most of the app updates went fine but now some updates from the store are stuck with the error code 80073cf6.
I tried restarting the phone but that does not help. Any ideas?

The "error code 80073cf6" in Windows 8 on PC's suggest trouble in the store cache on the device, and there are procedures to reset and clear this on a PC - but this is only possible on Windows Phone by performing a factory reset.
I hesitate to advice a factory reset of the phone since it is a lot of work, and may not solve the problem! Also, since this is trouble between the Store and the phone, it may be solved in an update of the phone or the store later.
I would sit tight for a while (days or weeks ...) unless the apps are important here and now, and keep an eye on new updates to the phone, and retry the download once in a while, but it's your decision whether to try a factory reset.
Microsoft have information of devices failing to download apps from the store, and if your specific trouble affect enough people, changes are likely to be made (days or weeks ...)

Iphone app update via itunes

Hi,
I have synced my Iphone with my new macbook pro, now when I try to update the Iphone apps through itunes on Mac, it gives me message that all apps for this apple id are updated, whereas I am using the same apple id on my Iphone and Macbook.

App update error 3027

Just been notified I've got 7 app updates in iTunes. When I click to Download All Free Updates and enter my password it says:- 'Could Not Purchase "". An unknown error occurred (3027). There was an error in the iTunes Store. Please try again later.
I've tried it several times today, only to get the same message.
Any ideas what's happening?

Cannot submit app update - "Error The submission can only contain one appx or one appxbundle."

I'm trying to submit my app update to the store and I get the following error:

The submission can only contain one appx or one appxbundle.
So I thought I should maybe utilize the "Delete" option to allow me to submit an updated appx or appxbundle (since these are the only file types that App Studio allows us to build). However, when I do, I get the
following message:
Can't delete this package
You must have at least one 8.1 package in your submission.
... So I'm basically stuck. Can't delete to upload a new one. Can't upload a new one because there's one already there. It would be nice if you could automatically sunset the old appx/appxbundle package in favor of the new
one.

Since this is still an issue, shouldn't it be escalated for a fix so that the page works on any modern browser?
I see two independent problems here:
- Hitting Delete should work, not bash the user with a "You must have at least one 8.1 package in your submission." message (i.e. allow the developer to delete and then add a new file, if so desired). After all, when making the initial submission
we are in the same situation (no file yet), so it can't be that bad, as long as this is checked for at a later stage.
- Show that Replace button which seems to be hiding! If it is a Silverlight issue, why require Silverlight in the first place?
P.S.: I am experiencing this with IE (no Replace button, Windows 8.1 x64 and latest updates).

IPhone apps update?

When I open the new iTunes on my Mac I can no longer find where to update my iPhone Apps.
I know I can do it on the iPhone itself through the App store
but can you not update through iTunes on the computer any more?

Yes and No. In iTunes, highlight the Applications section under Library. In the lower right is a "Check for updates" button. (Note: If there is a number behind the Applications under Library, that is the number of updates available. In that case, the button in the lower right will change to show the number of updates available). However, when you click either button, the Apps Store is contacted so you can download any updates.

How can I tell itunes to install iPhone App updates automatically?

ITunes 12 can download app updates. Right now I have to connect my iPhone, go the installed apps and click on (for each updated app) "update" to change it to "will update" and then click "sync". How can I tell iTunes to automatically update any updated app currently on the iPhone?

I know they need to be converted, but the problem is, 2000 of the 5000 have already been converted. now it's trying to convert them again. but there is no reason for that. i want to know how to convert the other files that weren't converted yet, without having to re-convert the ones that were already done.
I would move the ones that were done to a separate folder, but I don't know exactly what ones were done. In iTunes, they are the first 2000 or so in the list, but on my hard drive they are not in the same order.
Does anyone else know if there's a way to do this?

IPhone App updates not there

My iPhone keeps lighting up the app icon saying I have app's to update. (4-5 times a day) When I go to update screen, all app's are up to date. Went to my iTunes page on PC and everything is OK. Already did soft re-boot of phone. Any ideas. This is a pain in the ***!

I Sync (ed) twice last night at home on the PC. When I just went to the "Price Check by Amazon" app updates, it asked if I wanted to download an older version of the app that will work with my phone. I said yes, and for now the problem has gone away. I'll re-sync when I get home.

Do I have to pay for dysfuncional Iphone after update (error 3)?

Do I have to pay for my Iphone if it become dysfuncional at a update (error 3)? The warrenty is out but it feels wrong if I have to pay for something can´t control.

If those don't work, then you will have to contact Apple and discuss the matter with them. Typically if any sort of hardware problem arises with an out-of-warranty phone you'll be charged, but perhaps there will be something they can do for you.

App update error after iOS 4.3 upgrade

Since I updated to iOS 4.3 there is a strange corruption on App updater. I can see the updates available but the tab shows them in basic HTML and I can't select them. Have tried reboot to no avail. Any ideas?

A general troubleshooting measure is resetting the iPad. Press and hold the Home and Power buttons for 10+ seconds, ignoring the red power-off slider, until the Apple logo appears.

App update error msg

When I try to update my apps on my iphone, I get the error msg "App not compatible with this iPhone." I am able to download a new app. I have the latest software update. I have tried turning the phone on and off. Any other suggestions?

some updates leave old models or old iOS versions behind. That's the way technology evolves. You must then stick with last version that is working with it. ( they are locally in your Itunes music folder, under "mobile applications", good idea to back up these *ipa files - some time in the future they will not be available ). You can drag and drop the apps icons from within PC/Mac to the connected iPhone, that will re-install these locally versions on the iphone.
If you use iTunes AppStore from Mac/PC you can also read the system requirements on ech App's info box.
I would say more and more apps now will certainly require iOS5 instead of 4.x , and as more and more apps make use of Retina Display, the 3GS would be out - even with iOS5 on it.
