I'm new to this forum,
i want to know , can i develop iphone application using jdeveloper and ADF. i wnt some tutorials regarding this to get started.pls help me.

How can i build application using Jdeveloper 10g for Weblogic server 10.3

Hi,
We have a requirement where in we want to build an SOA application using Jdeveloper 10g for Weblogic Server 10.3.
Is there any way to make a connection to Weblogic Server 10.3 from JDeveloper 10g? If there is any way please share it with me.

Amit,
SOA Suite is not yet certified for WLS 10.3. You have to wait for the certification of it.
At the moment you can't install the SOA Suite on WLS 10.3 nor connect from JDev 10.1.3 to it.

It is not possible. I'm sorry, but in order to test your self-built applications on any iOS device, you must enroll in the developer program.

Error while Creating a basic portal application using JDeveloper

Hi,
I am trying to build a portal application using the following tutorial on JDeveloper 11.1.1.5.0 on Windows XP.

I have configured all the prereqs for this tutorial. When i run the application, following message appears on the log file.
Target Portal.jpr is not runnable, using default target index.html.
and the webpage contains following error
Error 404--Not Found

1. Did you just created a new wcp application in jdev and ran it with out doing any changes? If you have done what are the changes?

I recently migrated to JDeveloper 11.1.2.3.0 from old version of ADF. When I am trying to run the application, I am getting below error,

I am using JSF 2.0 + ADF 11.1.2.3 + Spring 2.5 + Spring Web Flow 1.0.4. I have defined below 2 listeners,

ApplicationFlowPhaseListener is custom implementation of Spring web flow FlowPhaseListener. The same application is working properly with previous version of ADF. I have verified faces-config.xml, it contains proper version of JSF.
The only change I found that, the weblogic server installed with JDeveloper contained older version of jsf-api and jsf-impl.jar. I replaced them with latest version, but that also didn't work.

Error while running SRDemo tutorial application using Jdeveloper 10.1.3.0.4

I have completed all the ten chapters in the SRDemo tutorial and when i run the SRList.jspx it is been running and will ask for the username and password so i am logging as username:bernst,password:welcome. When it opens in the browser it displays the following error and it displays."No Rows Yet" message will be displayed. Please help me regarding this...
Note: The same error is coming even if we run the files which are provided with tutorial.

the databse is not available. Check the database connection and make sure the database listeber is up and running. If this issue persist and you run the tutorial based on TopLink, select the session.xml file and open the Structure window. Double click onto the entry shown and check the connect information.
If you are usin ADF BC make use the tester to veriffy teh DB connection

Executable JAR using JDeveloper

Hi,
I created a very small Desktop Application using JDeveloper.
What I want to do is to create an executable JAR file. I mean, is there any option in this tool like the one in Eclipse. Once executable JAR is created, I must be able to run it just by double clicking the JAR file.
So, can some1 please help me with the steps ?

For executable jar you will need to add:
Main-Class: your_package.YourClassto META-INF/MANIFEST.MF file inside jar.
I don't think that JDeveloper support custom manifest files so you can modify this content after jar creation(for example, with some zip/rar/7z tool)
Also, if your app require some additional jars, then you will need to add this line to manifest:
Class-Path: additional.jarDario

i had installed the J2ee 1.4 application in oracle apps 11i (Linux server). I had executing the web service process in Linux server and its working fine.
And i need to call the web service from externally. I.e Web service code is executed in Linux server. I need to call the web service from Jdeveloper .
Please give steps and document screen shots for invoking the web service application from the External java application(i.e jdevloper).

We have ADF web applications developed with JDeveloper 11.1.1 (using JSF 1.2 and JSTL 1.1)
deployed on WebLogic server 10.3.4.
Our department plans to :
1. upgrade to WebLogic server 10.3.5 with the ADF Runtime 11.1.2.0.
and
2. develop new ADF web applications using JDeveloper 11.1.2 (using JSF 2.0 and JSTL 1.2)
My 2 questions are the following:
1. Can we deploy all JSF 1.2, JSF 2.0, JSTL 1.1, and JSTL1.2 WAR files on the
WebLogic server 10.3.5 with the ADF Run-time 11.1.2.0.
2. Can we deploy existing ADF web applications developed with JDeveloper 11.1.1 (using JSF 1.2 ,JSTL 1.1)
and new ADF web applications using JDeveloper 11.1.2 (using JSF 2.0 and JSTL 1.2) to the WebLogic server 10.3.5 with the ADF Runtime 11.1.2.0

Iphone application issue

Hello Experts ,
I am creating an iphone application using sybase unwired platform 1.5.3 .
I have generated the code from sup and taken the required api's onto xcode in my project .
The issue i am facing is while fetching data from sup .
As mentioned on the sybase website , i have written the code in my delegate file .
It works fine uptil i subscribe to my database eg [abcDB subscribe];
after this there is a step as follows :
while ([(abccallbackhandler *)[abcDB callbackhandler] importsuccesscount ]>1)
sleep(1);
It does not come out of this loop
Tried lot of things from the sybase website and searching on the net as well but none worked .
Please help me on this as i am not able to proceed because of this issue .

Hello Rockky,
In a SUP MBS-based application, you should never block the main thread with a busy loop as in your example. In the SUP documentation this is done just as an example. Rather than blocking with a busy loop, wait for the appropriate notifications using the call back handler. In your case, you should call subscribe and let the method continue. If you are displaying a progress/loading view that must be hidden after all data is pulled down to the device, you should hide this view when you receive the onSubscribeSuccess notification, or more appropriately, the onImportSuccess notification which will be called after all data has been pulled down after subscribing.
Relying on the call back notifications rather than busy loops frees up the main thread keeping your UI responsive.

Tutorial for Building Mobile Web Applications Using ADF/BC4J-problem

Trying to create an offline mobile application using jdeveloper & oracle lite. I want to be able to update the home database after using the application in a disconnected fashion. I do not have a web site, nor is that a feasible option.
Jdeveloper 10.1.3.4 which should be OK as it is higher than the release specified in the tutorial.

I have tried to follow the tutorial completely and I can not get this to connect from webtogo. It runs fine in the jdeveloper usising the container. I created the war file, did the wtg packaging process, opened the mobile manager and published the application & granted access to user 'john'. The samples provided work fine. The new application appears on the webscreen after installing web 0c4j. When I click on it, the address toolbar shows:
http://localhost/webtogo/bc4jtutorial/faces/CustomerOrders.jsp
When it installed mobile client, it installed the CustomerOrders.jsp into:
E:\mobileclient\mobile_client_oc4j\j2ee\mobileclient\applications\mobileclient\bc4jtutorial
an example of the samples that work shows
http://localhost/webtogo/sample6/list
in the browser address line.
Which looks like it's really
E:\mobileclient\mobile_client_oc4j\j2ee\mobileclient\applications\mobileclient\samples\sample6
on the file system
Any one have any ideas? I'll take another solution if someone has found one. However, i am not a great java programmer so thought jdeveloper was great to create forms and access the database.

Problem with tutorial; "Build a Web Application with JDeveloper 11g Using "

I've got a rather new installation of Vista Business x64 on my developer rig, and last week I installed the new JDeveloper 11g version. The installation was all-inclusive, no customization on my end.
In addition I've got a test installation of an Oracle DB 11gR1 on an available server here.
To familiarize myself with the new JDeveloper I decided to spend some time with the JDeveloper 11g tutorials found here: http://www.oracle.com/technology/obe/obe11jdev/11/index.html.

I'm not that familiar with these things but it seems to me that there is an issue with port numbers here. The application seems to expect a app.server service at port 7101, but does'nt find one.
Any suggestions on how to fix this problem would be appreciated?

It fails in a similar way.
What I did was; create a simle 'Hello World' html file, saving it with the jsp extension. In Jdev11g i made a new application and an emtpy project, then loaded the jsp file and made it the default run-target. This compiles nicely.
When running the project it first attempts to start the WebLogicServer (WLS). After a few minutes it is started as seen in the "Running: DefaultServer" pane:

To me it seems that it is attempting to start a separate instance of the WLS for each run attempt, but then I could be wrong.....:(
Later I'll try to change the default WLS port from 7001 to 7101 as suggested in another port here.
I must admit that I'm a bit surprised that the JDev11g doesn't work fine at this very simple level when performing a default install.
