Iphone apps closes itself

Hi, I searched around and not seen too many complaints about my problem, I hope someone can help me here.
Got My Iphone 3G 3 weeks ago, everything is great. the only glitch I have is that all the downloaded apps. Google mobile, pandora, Facebook etc... could not be opened. all the apps closes itself soon after it opens. it only happens to the downloaded apps.
I tried every suggested tricks to fix it, soft reboot, hard reboot, reset all settings, firmware update (2.02), none fixed the issue. the only thing that worked was to remove the apps and reinstall again. Than it worked for about a week. just this morning. the issue came back again. Any thoughts?
I don't see anyone complaint about this issue in this forum. I wonder if it is my phone only. should I go to an Apple store to replace it? But the store is really far from me. how else can I get apple's hardware support without going to a store.

My iPhone 3G started doing this last night. One moment I was playing a game of DizzyBee. Then an hour later, I picked up my phone and was suddenly unable to run any third-party apps. Not only am I unable to run are third-party downloaded apps, but my iPod music files and media are inaccessible. When I switch to iPod, it says there is no music in my library, even though when I sync my iPhone to iTunes, it shows all of those apps and music and video files on the "Summary" screen. I suspect there's some kind of authorization problem, where my iPhone seems to have been deauthorized to run any downloaded apps or music.

I am going to try to restore my iPhone, but judging from the other comments here, I'm not getting my hopes up, and am fully expecting this problem to remain unsolved until Apple releases that firmware update (sometime in September, according to the Cult of Mac blog).

i di d try downloading again but still can open but it close itself within seconds.

Delete the app and redownload. You won't be charged again.

IPhone apps close immediately after opening

I have tried :
- iPhone reboot (several times)
- install a new app through iTunes (several times)
- deauthorize and reauthorize the computer (several times)
- uninstall all apps and reinstall
- reset all iPhone settings
- iPhone restore
- scour all discussion threads for solutions
to no avail. This all started after weeks of needing to reauthorize the computer every sync, then halfway syncing when I was away from an internet connection. I stopped it in attempt to not lose all of the apps, and it didn't delete the apps, but then they would close just after launch. Any more ideas? Thanks.

I used to have the same problem. the iPhone was acting weird so I tried to reboot it but it didn't work so I forced-rebooted it (holding Power and Home simultaneously) and since then all the apps that didn't came with iPhone fail to launch (you see the first screen for half a sec then you're back to the home screen).
It disappeared when I synced it with iTunes.

IPhone apps close before they even open.

When I was on iTunes I did a system update and now all my downloaded apps won't open.

Have you tried a reset?
Page 34 of the manual:
"If something is not working right, restarting or resetting iPhone will likely solve the
problem.
Restart iPhone: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the red slider appears.
Slide your finger across the slider to turn off iPhone. To turn iPhone back on, press and
hold the Sleep/Wake until the Apple logo appears.
Reset iPhone: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the
same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

App closes itself and return to the main screen

While I was playing apps, iphone just started getting wierd i.e. freezing and then automatically return to the main screen (the screen with many apps on like desktop of computer). Anyone experience this problem and how can I resolve the problem please?

I am having the same problem with several apps and a reset does not help. I downloaded ReaddleDocs, DirecTV, Bloomberg and a couple of games that all worked the first time I tried them but now open to their welcome screen for about 2 seconds and then go back to the iPhone home screen. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the apps, started and restarted the iPhone and reset the iPhone but they still do not work. What is going on and what should I do?

I really would like to lock the screen so it doesn't change position if I move it a little bit. Anybody know if this is possible?

Otherwise I think it is absolutely amazing. The touch screen is very responsive. In fact, I think it is perfect.

There's a little switch above the volume buttons on the right side. Flip it and try turning the screen.

Not sure since we're not sure the processes you took to sync it. When its plugged into your computer and you are viewing it in iTunes you can go into the "Applications" tab and select which apps you want and don't want. On the main info page there is a checkbox that says sync apps automatically".

Try the usual steps: restart, reset, restore.

If restoring using a backup doesn't help, try restoring the iPhone to factory settings and try for a while with just the Apple-included apps, to make sure it's not an issue with a third-party app. If it still has problems, it may have a hardware problem and will need to be sent to Apple.

IPhone 5 typing & opening apps by itself, "This accessory may not be supported"

Not that long ago, I got a refurbed iPhone 5 from AT&T (around Thanksgiving). Soon after, I started having problems. My iPhone would type on its own and open up apps by itself. I would also get the, "This accessory is not supported," message while using the charger that came with the phone when I ordered it. I went to the Apple store near me and got a replacement. Now this phone is having the same issues. The guy at the Apple store told me that it was MY backup that was doing it... which I seriously doubt, considering all the people that are having the same issues as me on these forums. I just contacted AT&T and they told me to go back to the Apple store and get ANOTHER replacement... and that was after he told me that his previous customer had the same issues as I did, and he's had a lot of other customers that have had them as well.
So, what do I do now? Has anyone found a fix for these problems? I was reading through the forums but almost every post is, "Having the same issues," with no way to fix them. I don't see how getting yet another replacement phone will fix the problem, since I've had 2 phones in a row that have done this. Is Apple still refusing to acknowledge that these are widespread issues? I NEVER had these problems with my iPhone 4, and now I'm wishing I had just gotten the Galaxy S4 instead... but since I used my upgrade on this POS, I can't even do that at this point.

Really? There are virtually no such postings, considering the sheer number of iPhones, specially the iPhone 5 in the wild.

Speaking for myself only, I have been perfectly happy with every model of iPhone I have had (3GS, 4, 4S, and 5). Both the 4 and 5 were refurbs purchased from AT&T and they look like new. I couldn't ask for anything better.. great value and a great device.

How do you close out an iPhone app that is running in the background in the new iOS 4? We’ve had more than one reader ask this question since the launch of the new iPhone operating system, and the iPhone 4, last week. Some have asked about this due to battery drain concerns, and others just because they want to be able to shut down a backgrounded app.
So this seems as good a time as any to share a quick tip on how you can force apps to close in the new iOS 4.
There are two ways to fore an app to close down under iOS 4. The first is by doing a ‘force quit’ on the app, just as we have done under the previous version of the iPhone OS. To do this, you press and hold the power button while you are in the app you want to close down. Wait for the ‘Slide to power off’ bar appears across the top of the iPhone – then don’t hit Cancel, but instead just hold down the Home button continuously until the app closes and you drop back to the home screen.
The much easier method now available in iOS 4 is to use the Multitasking bar to close any app you want. Here’s how:
– Double tap the Home button to bring up the Multitasking bar
– Press and hold anywhere on the multitasking bar until the icons on it start to wiggle.
– While they are wiggling, each icon has a Minus sign symbol above it.
– Press the Minus symbol above any app to close it down.
That’s it. This will work for any app you want to close, including the Apple built-in apps like Mail and Safari etc.
Hope this quick tip is helpful to some of you who are getting to know iOS 4.

The apps on the bottom are recently accessed apps. Instead of closing when you exit the app they go into a suspended state, and will load faster when you next launch them. Unless they are a streaming app (like Pandora) they do not use any power when they appear in the active app list.

Iphone 4s problem an app installed itself alone cant delete dont know what it is...

Hi all, i have an iphone 4s and i just noticed that a new app installed itself that i didnt see before....the icon is white and red and the image is an iphone over an ipad kind of thing....the image of the icon seems grayed out a little and i CANT delete the app as any other app....
Is somebody already saw that?

Apps close self

I cannot open itunes or app store on my iphone 4. Also, mail closes itself when I try to open the emails. I have tried turning the phone off/on, installing the latest update, off/on again. Deleting my mail accounts and adding them back on did not help. If they were not the original app I would uninstall them and reinstall them but I can't.
Any Ideas?

Try logging out ang back in to your iTunes account... Settings > Store
Try downloading any free app to resync your iTunes account.
Regarding your email, you might have a corrupt email in your inbox. Access your mail from your computer and clean out your inbox. Then try again with your iPhone.

I found an answer to this on another page (I was having the same problem) This worked for me:
Double-click the Home button.
Swipe left or right until you have located the app you wish to close.
Swipe the app up to close it.
