IPhone apps repeatedly asking to allow notifications, even after saying ok.

I have the 4s. Constantly apps are asking to allow notifications, even after allowing them. It seems to not remember my choices. I have restarted the phone and restored it twice. Same problem. Also, all of the newstand app subscriptions have to be restored constantly almost daily to download my issues. The Zinio app does the same thing. This is why I suspect it's not just an issue with individual apps, but a deeper issue within the phone or it's systems. It's kinda frustrating to redownload subscription content over and over again. I checked account settings and passwords, etc. nothing seems to fix it. Anyone else having these issues? I am on AT&T,64gb iPhone 4s. if anyone knows of a fix, please let me know.

If no change after restoring your iPhone with iTunes as a new iPhone or not from your iPhone's backup, more than likely your iPhone has a major hardware problem.
If your iPhone remains under warranty, you can call AppleCare or make an appointment at an Apple store if there is one nearby. You can make an appointment at an Apple store if there is one nearby regardless if your iPhone remains under warranty for a diagnostic check to be run on your iPhone to determine where the problem lies. There will be no charge for this.

Have you tried getting the password reset via http://iforgot.apple.com ?
If you can't get your password reset via that page then try contacting Support in your country, they should be able to reset it for you.

What you mean by 'buy and create a new id', it's free to create iTunes accounts. But until you've logged out of your existing account, you won't be able to log into a new account.

You need to double check that you aren't subscribed to the community, not just to the question you asked. Go to the community that you are receiving the emails from and the same box called "Actions" will appear there just like it does next to the individual question. Make sure that you are not reciveing email notifications for that community. Probably the community where you asked your question. Typically that is what causes people to get 100's of email notifications. I think that this is not included in the tutorial so a lot of people miss it.

Sorry you are having problems. First of all try Fifrefox's safemode.

Next step, if safe mode did not work.
First: Try a clean install, (you have had a none standard version installed previously) that involves deleting the program files. Then if necessary try troubleshooting by creating and using a clean empty Firefox profile.

Iphone app store asks for old apple id when i try to update apps

I recently reset my apple id. However when I try to update apps in my iphone it asks for my old apple id info. When I enter this in it states that the info is incorrect and needs to be reset. However when I download new apps the app store asks for my recently updated apple id info. When I have tried to delete the apps that need to be updated and buy them again, I was charged for the app. As a result I cannot update any apps. How can I fix this?

Try deleting and re-installing the app
Try a reset: Simultaneously hold down the Home and On buttons until the device shuts down. Ignore the off slider if it appears. Once shut down is complete, if it doesn't restart on it own, turn the device back on using the On button. In some cases it also helps to double click the Home button and close all apps from the tray BEFORE doing the reset.
Be a little more insistant with the app developer. If it his/her code after all.

Firewall repeatedly asking to allow or deny?

My firewall is set on app-specific permissions.
I've been getting a dialog asking to allow or deny "incoming connections" for a certain app. Every time I click "Deny" and next time I launch the app I get the dialog again. There's no "always deny" option that I can find.
My questions:
1. how do I deny it once and for all?
2. what about "outgoing connections"? are they blocked too if I choose "deny"?

I don't consider myself to be a firewall expert, but the System Preferences/Security/Firewall option of "Allow all incoming connections" seems to fit the bill. I do work with a lot of PC's and I've become familiar with many of the firewall programs available for them. PC's really need this badly:)
Leopard doesn't provide you with the ability to block outgoing connections any better than WindowsXP does. In the event that a user actually gets a Trojan Horse or other Spyware, these "incoming only" firewalls are completely useless.
We don't have to worry too much about Malwares yet with Leopard, but if we did, the Leopard firewall would automatically allow an outgoing connection as it would appear to be initiated by the user. - This becomes a worthless "feel good" security, especially when you are at your own home with a hardware firewall available in every NAT router that is already blocking so many ports that you have to punch holes with port forwarding to get many programs to work. Almost all of these routers make a provision for a "Stealth" mode where the router will not answer a ping or respond on the ID port scan. They also have a method of creating a "DMZ" wide open - forward every unsolicited incoming connection - to a specific IP number on the LAN so that you can run a server (I'm running Leopard server using DHCP with Manual Address to match the DMZ IP number) without having to forward all the ports for iChat, iCal, FTP, email, web server or any other service you want to run.
In the coffee house scenario, you wouldn't have the hardware firewall to protect you, but you also will not be able to block outgoing connections either. Still worthless.
If the Leopard firewall is told to just go away, you can use a real firewall program for much finer, enduring control. Little Snitch, and other programs will pop up with a warning, and offer to deny, allow once, or allow always every outgoing connection. The firewall comes with many presets that take into account normal activity like email, web surfing programs and some system initiated connections, but questions just about every other type of connection.

Multiple Mail and SMS Notifications Even After Reading

Is it normal to get repeat notifications of Email messages and SMS messages?
The "repeat alert" setting under Settings>Messages is set to off, but I nevertheless receive two distinch audible or vibratory alerts (per message) whenever I get an email or SMS.
The second message occurs *even after I read the email or sms*.

switche of stamnia did not help, but i think i found the troublemaker:
i disabeld every app to get the notifications (security->notifications) and then it worked everytime - then i activated all the apps that i need (there where two left overs - apps that i allowed to fetch notifications that i don´t use anymore....) and it still works.
the two apps are:
-floating notifications
-Garmin connect
i don´t like to test the both if one is the bad boy and the other one not...but now it seems to work!

My iPhone 4s on the latest update freezes even after a full restore.. is it gone?

At first, my iPhone 4s completely froze and I was unable to turn it on (even after holding power/home button--the apple logo would come on and then it would just turn off). I wasn't able to get it into restore or DFU mode. After some troubleshooting, I decided to order a new battery. I replaced the battery and was then able to get it to restore, however--after I restore it and it comes time to restart the phone, it gets stuck and doesn't turn on. If I unplug the phone and then hold down the power and home buttons for about 20 seconds, it restarts and shows the apple logo and shows the initial lock screen. If I let it scroll through the different languages for the "slide to unlock" text, it gets to what looks like japanese or chinese and then freezes. I then have to hold power+home again to restart it. If I slide it immediately when it shows up, it initially froze right away--but after another restart, it worked. I then am able to set it up and get to the wall of apps screen. From there, the phone worked for about half a day and then it froze up again (black screen, couldn't wake it up, stuck at apple logo and then just turns off).
I then was able to restore it AGAIN (on my own personal computer with a fresh install of itunes, I'm doing this for a friend) but the same symptoms persist--it will freeze if I don't unlock it right away, it freezes once when I unlock it right away, and after another restart, it gets through setup and to the wall of apps. The first time I set it to restore from iCloud and re-installed all of her apps. This time, I signed in with her Apple ID and enabled iCloud but did not download any of her old apps. When I go to the apple store, under featured and top apps its just a blank white screen but when I search for an app it does show results. As of right now (30 minutes after restore) it IS working, but it worries me that the same bugs happened after a restore. I feel it's only a matter of hours before the phone freezes up again and requires a restore.
She does not have apple care and even though she loved this device, she isn't going to buy another iPhone because of all the problems shes had with this one (it's just over a year old). Help keep an iPhone fan! Do these problems sound familiar to anyone? I'm an android user myself and I love rooting/flashing new ROMS, so if jailbreaking her phone or doing some kind of super-restore with 3rd party programs might help, I'm all for it--I just wanted to get some opinions on if this phone is even worth working on more than I already have since the issues remain even after multiple full restores.

She does not have apple care and even though she loved this device, she isn't going to buy another iPhone because of all the problems shes had with this one (it's just over a year old).
After you ruined the iPhone with DIY, Apple won't touch it anymore. You should have asked before all these had happened.

TS1389 iTunes repeatedly prompts to authorise computer even after the computer is already authorised

iTunes repeatedly prompts me to authorise computer before playing a particular song. The problem persists even after I've authorised my computer. When I try to authorise again, it acknowledges that my computer is alrady authorised but the song will still not play.

Bought a song off iTunes Store on my iphone, came home, synced with my computer, and had the same problem with being asked for authorization. I authorized and recieved messages telling me my computer was authorized, yet it kept asking for authorization repeatidly every time I attempted to play the song. The song no longer worked on my iphone as well once I synced with my computer.
I took newriii's advice, deleted the song off my iTunes, logged on the iTunes Store, viewed my purchases, downloaded the song once again, and it now works fine.

IPhone 3GS not working in landscape mode even after tilting.

My IPhone 3GS works only in portrait mode even if tilted to landscape mode for all apps. For the few apps which are primarily designed for landscape mode but do work in portrait mode, the device continues to work in landscape mode even when tilted to portrait. Continue to face this problem even after reloading iOS 6.

Iphone stuck on 'plug into itunes' symbol - even after hard reboot

Deciding to update my iphone 3G with the most current version release, my computer 'blue screened' while putting the updates on the iphone. Now my computer does not recognise any operating system (not good!) and my iphone (even after hard reboot) does not get past the 'plug into itunes' symbol.
How do I fix my iphone? - I don't want to reset it to factory settings as my computer with everythihng on it (songs, movies, apps, contact, etc) no longer works!
Any ideas, other than going to the Genius Bar and hoping they can fix it?

Place the device in DFU mode (google it) and restore.

Why do I get repeated "connect to iCloud" messages even after I have already connected?

On my new iPhone 6+ I am frequently interrupted in the middle of a task by a dialog box instructing me to 'connect to iCloud" by entering my username and password? This happens repeatedly even after I have already connected to iCloud a few minutes before. It is very annoying because it will pop up in the middle of a phone call, or while I am following GPS directions while driving and the dialog box obscures a big part of the screen.
Can I change some setting to avoid this?

Have you created an iCloud account? This is not the account or ID you use for iTunes. And where exactly are you turning on notes? In what area within settings of your devices?
