IPhone Apps - Where Is User Data Stored?

Where is the user data associated with an iPhone app stored? Is it stored within the app's .ipa file? For example, I use Weightbot. Is all of my personal data stored within the Weightbot.ipa file, or is it stored elsewhere?

The reason why I bring this question up is, I've somehow lost 1GB of storage from my iPhone 3GS!
I've added up the data size of all the apps on my iPhone. I've got 61 apps in total, which take up 1947.38 GB of storage. However, the Capacity bar in iTunes is telling me that my 61 Apps are taking up 3.10 GB!
So, somehow I've lost over 1GB of storage on my iPhone. How can that be?

Which table or where is the "data" stored when new users are created inside of Portal? I've been to the Portal Navigator page and can view the many, many classes, triggers, tables, etc.. but find it a bit overwhelming to try and look for stuff. the users are stored in the table called WWSEC_PERSONS$ and the groups are stored in WWSEC_GROUP$.

Hi I am trying to implement a simple user management application
in an weblogic server (10.3.2).
The user data is stored in an oracle database and the SQLAuthenticator is configured correctly.
Everything works fine, the user gets authenticated, created and deleted.
But when I try to log in several times with the wrong password, the server locks me out.
I know that i can unlock the user via the console but my question is:
Where is this information stored so that i can reset it using my user management aplication?
Can anyone help me or is this a big weblogic secret?

There are ways by which u can unlock the user programatically.. i dont think u can unlock it by modifying some files on WLS, not recommended either...

Where is mail data (all messages) stored in 10.9.4? Mail works fine, but I cannot find the data to back it up. It is NOT in Users/Library..(In fact, my User folder has no Library folder at all)..?

Pick one of the following methods:
A. This method will make the folder visible permanently. Open the Terminal application in your Utilities folder and paste the following at the command prompt:
chflags nohidden ~/Library
Press RETURN.
B. Click on the Desktop, press the OPTION (⌥) button, select Library from the Finder's Go menu.
C. Select Go To Folder from the Finder's Go menu. Paste the following in the path field:
~/Library
Press the Go button.
The data are in your /Home/Library/Mail/V2/ folder.

I would like to know where are the user fonts stored in sap gui? Actually the user is having issues with changing fonts size. Please let me know if FONTS are stored under the below mdb file.

Where are user alias stored?

II'm new to the BOE world and I noticed the way the windows ad id is linked to the sap user ID when accessing the portal so users don't need to renter I their user information. My question is where is that data store within the sap landscape? Is there a specific sap table used to store the information? Any help is appreciated. If I can find this out it might help solve a problem.

I am not 100% sure of your exact setup but it sounds like you are mapping AD accounts to BW accounts in such cases this information is stored in the business objects repository. This can be accessed through the CMC.

Osx 10.8.2 where is application data stored?

I've had to replace a dead Macbook Pro. While I did do a time machine backup, I'd rather not restore a new machine from that backup. A third party app though, had data that I can't replace. Would anyone know in what location data from a third party app would be stored, so I can access just that data from the backup?

It depends on the app. They keep things in various places. Here are a few places I'd check:
Preferences (~/Library/Preferences)
In the package contents for the application (/Applications, then do right- or command-click on the app, and select "show package contents")
~/Library/Application Support
~/Library/Audio (for audio apps)
I'd also look in /Library for duplicates of anything you find in ~/Library
Perhaps the documentation for the app, or whoever makes the app, or a user forum for the app, could give you some info.
Another trick is to try an app like app zapper, which is for deleting an app and all associated files. You could use that to identify the files.
And do a spotlight search.

In a portal application, where are user preferences actually stored? Are they encrypted? If not, is there a way to make them encrypted? The reason I'm asking is the user wants to be able to store their credentials for logging into a mainframe associated with their primary login. Other than storing that as preferences, is there another way of securely saving this info?

User preferences by default are stored in the portal database. Not encrypted.

Where is the data stored for the Contacts application in OS X 10.10?

My client uses Backblaze online backup, and recently needed to retrieve his contacts. Is the data stored in the app itself, or somewhere else? Backblaze doesn't back up applications by default. Is there a way to instruct Backblaze to back up the Contacts application?

Where is mail data stored in mavericks?

I accidentally deleted all of the data for mail - and I'd like to restore it from a Time Machine backup. But, I can't find it.
When I go to Library, there is no mail data.
When I open the mail app now, nothing is there and the preferences are grayed out so that I can't choose preferences.
I can still get my mail on icloud - but nothing is connected in the mail app.
I'd like to simply restore from where I was before I made this mistake - where is the data?

None of my iPhone apps are using cellular data except safari.

The problem I have is that none of my iPhone apps like skype, whatsapp, viber etc use cellular data !! But safari alone works using cellular data ... And I have a 3G data pack in my iPhone and I use it with safari alone ! So I know that my net pack is not slow .... Previously the apps used to work using cellular data ! But now I don't know what the problem is ... But it's not working ! I also did a general reset to see if the problem gets resolved ... But It doesn't help !! I have an iPhone 4S running on iOS7 !! Someone please help me with this issue ..

Then, your next step is to restore the phone. Unfortunately, I would not recommend you restore from backup. I'd suggest you restore as a new device, followed by syncing your content back to the phone:

You can "try" restoring from backup first, but if the issue is being caused by corruption in your backup, restoring from backup will merely restore the issue.

Where are users'pics stored?

I took a profile picture using Messages (so is the name of the new instant messanger of OS X Mountain Lion in French, I suppose it is iMessage or so in English) for my AIM account using my iSight and I looked for it in my Library, in order to have it as a picture, not just as a friend pic in Messages.
However I couldn't find where the file is stored. If it is hidden, then how to make it visible and where to find it? Could someone tell me?

Export the album with the images to a folder on your Desktop, then move the photos from that folder to your Dropbox and send that links.
To export from iPhoto select the photos you want to share and use the command "File > Export > Versions " from the main menu bar.
In the export panel set the file naming scheme and quality you want.

IPhone APPS WHERE DO I START????

Im trying to find out just *some basic info* and the iPhone Dev Center main page is VERY confusing and frustrating. Im about to give up before getting started.
I just want to know...do I need a Mac to create apps or can I buy and iPhone and do it on that? I just cant seem to find out this basic info. Im pulling my hair out. This info needs to be very clear if at all on this main page.

What's the difference between the Standard at $99 and the free SDK?
The $99 gets you access to the 3.0 SDK.

Hi, I downloaded some apps onto iTunes and never synced them to my iPhone because I kept getting errors when trying to sync. I have downloaded iTunes on a different PC and was wondering if anyone knows how i can move those apps onto the itunes on my other PC? Where in the Windows file system can I find these apps and can they be moved without syncing them to my iPhone?

You can re-download purchased apps(and free apps) again for free. So, just download your apps to your new PC, but make sure you authorize the computer first, Store>Authorize this Computer & make sure the account you're signed into in itunes on your new PC matches the account used to originally purchase the apps. Just click "Buy", a popup will appear asking if you want to buy, click yes, another popup will appear saying you've already purchased, do you want to re-download, click yes.
