Iphone as a security tool against car-steals?

Is there any accessory that comes along with Iphone to secure car with a localisation seeker. Actually I'd like to put this thing (if there exist) in my bike in order to localise it anytime I want!

Google latitude should do it, but I am having problems using it with Iphone and you can see I am waiting for an answer.

IPhone 3G does not work with car integration after 2.2 update

I just upgraded my iPhone 3G with the new 2.2 software update and now it doesn't work with my car integration. Very frustrating... I have a 2009 Honda Civic that has a USB interface. Before the update I was able to charge and play music through the USB interface. In addition, I could also control the music through the stereo. After the update, it says not compatible and it doesn't even charge the phone anymore. Doesn't anyone have the same problem or know how to fix it? Street view is cool but i will definitely revert back to 2.1 if I can't fix this...

I am having the same problem here After updating to 2.2 the iPhone has stopped working in the car. The stereo just simply refuses to see it. The car in question is a brand new 2009 VW Polo Match, which I know is not as fault as tried it with a iPod nano and worked fine.
Is reinstalling the firmware only solution to this? Do we know the cause yet?

The first time an iPhone is connected to iTunes that is used to sync with another iPhone or iOS device, you are prompted to transfer the backup for the other iPhone or iOS device or to set up the iPhone as a new iPhone.
The former does as provided - it transfers the backup for the other iPhone or iOS device to the iPhone replacing all data on the iPhone that is included with the backup being transferred. The latter does nothing allowing you to make your various selections for the iPhone sync preferences with iTunes.
This is designed to be done right away with a new iPhone.
If you don't have a backup for the iPhone with iTunes on your computer and don't have an iCloud backup that hasn't been updated since choosing to transfer the backup for your iPod Touch to the iPhone, the data that was on the iPhone is gone.

IPhone music no longer plays in car

I have an iPhone 3GS with iOS4. For some reason (not sure if is since the most recent software update) music will no longer play via my Alpine car system (has connector cable). It displays a message saying the accessory is not compatible, but it always was before, and also my partner's iPhone 3G still plays in the car OK. It works fine as before with headphones or on my home surround sound system just not in the car. Any suggestions gratefully received.

Thanks for the replies - yes, we are going to try resetting the Alpine unit and if this doesn't do it, wait for the next iPhone software update due in the next few days which I'm really hoping will rectify it. Will post again when there is any result.
It is very strange though, it worked fine even after updating to iOS4 months ago, and has only stopped working and displays "Error 01" in the last couple of weeks. I can still make and receive hands free calls via Bluetooth, just can't play music.

Mine charges just fine, as does everyone's iPhone 4S that I know. Apple even sells a number of car chargers that are certified to work:

Perhaps there is a problem with your charger or the outlet you're using in your car/truck.

IPhone 4s going Haywire while using Car Chargers..

My iPhones 4s is going crazy while Charging in the car(via usb or AC). The touchscreen is unreponsive and it goes haywire when it responds.
Apple Store replaced my phone but the new one is also doing the same. I had my wife try hers and it also gets wacked out..

Have you or anyone found a solution to the iphone 4S repeated burn out of car chargers? I have Audi A6 2010, with three outlets. Also have 3 different iphone approved chargers (Belkin, Griffin and Amazon) that all will not work (light doesn't go on to show there is a connection) and my iphones show no charge. At the beginning iphone said it did not support this charger, but after adjusting the tightness of the connection, it started charging. However, short term only, now doesn't work All chargers have burned out. Is there a specific brand for iPhone 4S that will not burnout and continue to work?

Make an appointment at the genius bar. An out of warranty replacement is $199 for an iPhone 4S. The caveat being that the phone has to be more or less intact... If you take them a "bag of parts", they won't offer a discounted replacement.

the mobile telephone is not detected in max as you can see on the link picture. I don't think the telephone appears as a standard serial port in hyperterminal : you have to provide a phone number in this case and not when using COM1 (see the link pictures). I think it is more complicated to establish communication with a USB connection than with a serial RS232 cable.
My goal is not to load hyperterminal with labview. Using hyperterminal is just a simple way to establish communication with a serial device (send some AT commands and check the serial device answer), then using VISA functions with Labview.
But it doesn't run in my case.
