Iphone asking for itunes password constantly

A month ago something changed and I now get frequent reminders asking for my itunes password - probably about 20-30 times a day. The requests always come in sets of two in a row. How do i turn off this very annoyed undocumented feature?

No guarantees here, but launch itunes, make sure you're signed in and the account name & password match what's on your phone. Connect your phone & sync. This may fix the problem as your account info is passed by itunes when you sync.

Always asking for iTunes password

I have a new 3GS and often when I wake it up it will ask me for my iTunes password. I have entered it several times but it seems to keep happening.
Anyone else seeing this? Any possible fixes?

My iPhone (O2,3G) also asks for iTunes passwords when it should not, but only when accessing the App store. It did not initially do this under 2.2.1 but developed the habit when an app update on the phone failed during installation. Installing 3.0 removed the problem but this morning I tried to update an app and although the install seemed to work (the app is now the newest version) there were errors during the install warning me that the installation could not be completed and I would have to download it via iTunes. Following that, the phone is back to asking me for my password every time I open the App store app.
Presumably there's a file somewhere on the phone that is created or touched when doing updates and not cleaned up when they are successful. If so, would there be any way to delete it without losing data?

Before I could reboot without having to type apple ID password to start using my phone.

Could be part of Apple's new security procedures that were implemented this past week.

Are you trying to restore from a backup that is encrypted? Or is it the lockscreen?
If it is the lockscreen password, connect in recovery mode to restore:iOS: Unable to update or restore and iPhone and iPod touch: Wrong passcode results in red disabled screen you will have the option to reset the password.
If this is the password for the backup and you don't know it, you'll have to start all over again by setting it up as new device: How to back up your data and set up as a new device and you will lose all data and settings on the phone.

It is asking me for my iTunes password too often.
I would be okay with it _if it was just for when I hit UPDATE for an application, or buy a new one_... but it seems like it's constantly asking for my iTunes password.
+I'm not worried about somebody ringing up a bill, If my phone is lost, I can just call Apple and have them remote wipe the phone and adjust my account.+

Since syncing my iPod Touch 2g to my new MacBook Pro, it's always asking me for the iTunes password. First time I synced it noted I previously synced to another Mac and asked if I wanted to merge or replace; I hit merge, probably not the right thing to do. How can I set things so it doesn't keep asking for the password?

Make sure you authorize your new computer (in iTunes) and then sync your touch.

Well, now and then I skip a window and asks for the password of Yahoo accounts ... I introduce the password and it works ...
I do not understand why sometimes asks me the password ... I was before ... but totally reset the Iphone ... and now comes back.

It means the apps in question were purchased under your Apple ID rather than his.

Itouch constantly asking for itunes password

For the last few days, my itouch keeps asking me, randomly and constantly, for my itunes passord. It used to only do this if I was downloading or updating an app, but now it does it with no apparent prompt or reason. I've tried canceling and I've tried entering my password; neither approach makes it stop. Can someone explain/help me fix this??

My iPhone just started doing this and it's doing my head in. It asks about every 5 minutes. I have nothing in downloads pending - no apps, no music, no films. I have no idea why it's happening but I need it to stop. Does anyone have any ideas?

Keeps asking for iTunes password

Every once in a while when I unlock the iPad, it asks me for my iTunes password. I think that it might be related to a movie rental download that I have paused (probably because this problem has been popping up ever since I paused the download), but I don't know for sure. Any ideas?

Tap Settings, tap Store, the "View Account". You will probably have to tap "Continue".
Enter your Apple ID password.

Everytime I start reading a book, a little popup window asks for my iTunes passport.
It's annoying.
It didn't do that in the beginning.
Any way to stop that.

On your pc go to itunes then to store and select download available downloads.
That should fix it if not then post it

Why does iTunes keep asking for my password when I want to listen to my music on my iPhone?

When I want to listen to music on my iPhone, iTunes keeps asking for my password. I am not purchasing anything. It started today. Why is that?

I've been having the same problem on my iPad and iPhone. I talked to Apple customer service this morning. They had me do the following on both devices in the Settings:
* Sign out of iTunes & App Store
* Sign out of FaceTime
* Sign out of Game Center
* Delete iCloud account
They also had me restore my iPad due to some glitchy behavior in the Music app.
Things seemed to me fixed for a few hours until I went into the iTunes Store app on my iPad and added a movie to my Wish List. When I went back to the Music app, the dreaded "Sign In to iTunes Store" popup started showing up again on both devices. Suspicious!
So, I cleared out my Wish List in both the iTunes Store and App Store. I've been poking at the Music app on both my iPhone and iPad since then I haven't seen that popup once since then. I'm not going to declare victory yet since it's only been an hour or two, but I thought that this was worth mentioning.
