Thanks for the question. After reviewing your post, it sounds like iTunes is not connecting to the iPhone. I would recommend that you read these articles, they may be able to help you resolve or isolate the issue.

Do you have an installed email program such as Microsoft Outlook? If your email is through an online login, such as Gmail, etc, then one will have to create an email association with a program such as Microsoft Outlook on the PC for this Scan to Email system to function.

how can i open my iphone because when i try to restore it from my back up all the files it didn't open anymore & always my iphone have a problem that it automatically shut down then the itunes logo appear then i need it to connect to itunes then restore to enable to open it..what should i do?i cannot bring it to the smart center because i lost my receipt..is there any chance to recover it?thank you so much..i already update my operating system to ios 6.1.3 but when i recover my back up the operating system was ios 6.1.2..
Your phone is in recovery mode. Did you plug it to the computer running itunes? What happend?

Mo ipad 2 won't backup to icloud. I get a message "There was a problem completing the backup. Please try again later. I have tried multiple times over the last 24hrs but no luck. My iphone backs up fine on the same wireless network.

I am trying to put songs onto my brand new iPhone. I have itunes version 10.6.3 and it says that I need 10.7 or earlier in order to sync the IPhone, so I found that download, attempted to download it, but now it says you need Mac OS X 10.6.8 or better. I'm running 10.5.8, can't find anywhere on the website an option to update my computer to 10.6.8, tried the software update option and it comes up saying my software is up to date. I am now extremely frustrated and ready to take my iPhone back to future shop and to tell them to keep it. I had this exact same problem when I got my new iPad in october. It still doesn't have any music on it because I could figure this out. Someone please help!
Correct. When you purchase devices, they would have stated the OS they needed to work, on the box. This can be overlooked, but it is very important to check when purchasing.
You current OS, is so old, that they technology build into the new devices, is not something your OS understands. It didn't exist when your OS was created, and therefore you need to upgrade the OS to work with the newer technology of these devices.
10.6 software is not downloadable. You must purchase a DVD disc. You can order it from the on-line apple store

IPhone 3G Reception Problems? You're Not Alone
I have the same problem with 3G coverage. I am suppose to be in a strong 3G coverage area at home. I only have 1 bar. Traveling around town (Sacramento area) my 3G coverage changes dramatically. From 1 bar to full bars? Not sure if its working properly or not??? Anyhow, this was posted on Engadget. After they exchanged their iPhone the problem went away? Could it be true? Is it the netork or our iPhones? Lets all hope nothing is wrong with our iPhones!!!!
iPhone 3G Reception Problems? You're Not Alone
One of the more disturbing things coming out of the iPhone 3G launch is reports of suspiciously poor 3G reception and speeds. Specifically, I've seen several people report one bar - specifically, one bar - of 3G reception in areas where other devices report strong reception. (More complaints at Engadget.)
This may be a problem with a batch of iPhones, or with something in AT&T's network, though I've also seen someone reporting the problem on O2 in the UK. The first review iPhone we got had this problem - it would mysteriously drop from four bars of 3G to one for no apparent reason, while our Motorola RAZR2 V9 reported better reception. Then it would shoot back up to four bars for no apparent reason a few minutes later. That unit would also occasionally throw up an "invalid SIM" error, requiring a reboot. That phone also had hideously slow 3G data speeds in the 50 kbps-150 kbps range, so the missing bars weren't just a display issue; there was something wrong with the way the phone was hitting the network.
We exchanged that iPhone for a different unit and no longer had the problem. We took the new iPhone and carried it around comparing it to a Motorola V9, and the two phones connected roughly the same number of calls on the 3G network. The new unit also had much higher data speeds in the same locations - still not great, in the 300-400 kbps range, but at least reflecting 3G.my white iphone does the same thing. I will drop down to one bar on 3g but full strength when i turn 3g off. Some people have tried to say that it is because 3g had more difficulty going through walls. Mine will not switch between 3g and edge on it's own so i find that when at home i just have to turn off the 3g. I have also heard rumors of a bad batch of iphones. I tried to take it into the store today but they were so busy i just had to make an appointment for thursday, although i was able to replicate the problem in front of the apple geek, which was a little surprising becuase while in line outside the store i had full bars of 3g. It might just be an issue that occurs when indoors? I also have a problem with lag. I'm hoping to get it resolved thurdays, whether they give me a new phone or just tell me to eff off and deal with it. probably the latter.

Can I restore a iPhone back up from time machine and if so how?
I have upgraded my iphone to IOS 7 this morning. However as I was backing up my phone, the cable I was using was removed from the macbook.
I now have a iPhone back up that is corrupted, and when i try and restore my settings to the new IOS7 upgraded phone, it will not allow my old settings to be placed on the phone.
I am therefore thinking of using an old back up from Time Machine, but do not know how to access itunes from time machine. Everytime I try and enter iTunes from my Time Machine vault it says Mac OSX requires the application and therefore cannot be restored.
Please help or tell me what I should be doing instead.
I have a feeling I will lose my app data and have to manually sort my home screens. Luckily all my contacts, emails, photos etc are synced to iCloud, but the back up of my iphone isn't as I don;t have the upgraded space on ICloud and have a iPhone thta has 16GB on it.

StephenHi Lawrence. Thanks so much for that advice - I'm really grateful. I hope you don't mind me asking a couple more questions: I have found that folder via Finder - I clicked on Library then App Support then Mobile Sync and within that, there's a folder called Backup and within that, 4 files. I also tried accessing it via the Go/go to folder method you suggested (in case that revealed more which remain hidden unless I use your route) but I couldn't make that route work.
I presume I'm looking at the correct files but please advise me if it's still possible that I'm not.
I had already tried to look at these backup files in Time Machine. They appear to be backed up, going back a year. If I can restore one from yesterday, that should solve my problem. However I've looked through them randomly going back a month or more, and they all seem to have been created in 2013, and last modified then. Only one of the files has a more recent 'last modified' date. But surely Time Machine has captured each backup of the iPhone going back over time? I'm baffled.
I hope the above makes sense. I'd be really grateful for any further advice.

I'm trying to update my iPhone 5 to IOS 7 through iTunes. I get a pop up saying I need to update my iTunes to 11.0.5 before I can update my iPhone. The problem is my iTunes is current, and no update for iTunes is found. Any one have any suggestions?
I had the same problem. My phone wasn't finding it so I tried plugging it into my laptop and it said I needed the latest iTunes which I already had.... I unplugged my phone from my laptop and did a soft reset to my phone (hold down the lock button and home button at the same time until your phone turns off) once it turns back on you should find the update... Click general... Software update. Worked for me!

i have an Iphone 4 that has been unlocked through apple. the operation of the iphone itself is fine, its just that it shows no signal and then pops up signal in random areas. however whenever i run my errands of some sort and come upon a area that has GREAT receptoin, it begins to work. when i move from that area, it stops working once again. what can possibly be the problem? please help.
I started having problems with calls being dropped after I updated the OS. The battery kept getting warm and drained quickly. I sent the iPhone back for repair and they told me there was nothing wrong. I spoke with several people who had AT&T and iPhone 4 and we all had reception problems AFTER the update. I have had to have the phone replaced twice within a month after the latest update. I think it is a software issue since I keep running into people with the iPhone 4 with same signal or battery issues. Think I will wait before upgrading to the 5S or 6 given the problems I am hearing about the current model.

Well, this is a problem, because the only material you can transfer from your iPhone (using only Apple software) is material you purchased in the iTunes Store.
To do that, plug your iPhone into iTunes, then choose File > Devices > Transfer Purchases from iTunes' menu.
Generally speaking, you should restore your iTunes library from your computer's backup. -

My iPhone is having problems and I have to send it into Apple to get a fixed but in the mean while I need a phone. Could my old env touch act as a temporary replacement with the data plan? I am having the SAME exact problem! Except instead of lock button broken it's my home button so I can't do the whole "put in recovery mode" deal. My screen only says "tap the home button 3 times" and it has my screen locked until I hit the home button but since it is broken I can't get in my phone at all. I have all of my work info in my phone so I'm screwed and can't get any help. PLEASE let me know if you find a way around this...!!!

Many of the times my Iphone 3G 16GB shows "No Service" in the specific network area, but if the same sim card is used with other mobile handset in the same network area its shows full network, Is this a Iphone 3G Handset problem or is it a problem with network service provider for iphone in india with Airtel.
Try to reset Network setting thru (Setting/General/Reset/Reset Network Setting - after clicking on it the phone will ask to reboot)
According to my R&D I have experienced that one must reset the network each time when we r at home or in office or other places, the phone after resetting the network setting acquires the area specific network setting n works well, try it & if any other solution do let me known
Calling up customer care did not help me, they do keep us in a loop with the same old answeres that “Our technical team is working on it & WILL GET BACK TO u” leaving us with no solution at the end
