Ok, I had a glitch, forced to restart, and lost my train of thought.
Reinstalling iTunes should fix the major issue that might have gone wrong, perhaps your explaination points will disappear and everything will be peachy again.
But if they don't, you can open the XML file in iTunes Folder using a Text edit program to see what the common pathname is to the iTunes Music folder or where your content is located.
If you moved the itunes folder, it needs to go back.
I can't  download iTunes to my Vista virtual machine to test it out right now because iTunes is down, so I can't verify the pathname, perhaps your issue and the iTunes being down are related somehow?
You don't want to import all your music again, but it's a option, but you lose all your playlists, that's what I'm trying to recover.
If oyu don't have a whole lot of playlists, then simply select all the explaimation point music and delete, select File from the menu and import your itunes folder again.

Also, does reinstallation takes the back up automatically or the files will be lost. Please help.

Here are a bunch of scripts to get folder size under all circumstances.  Take your pick.

    Hello Partii,
It sounds like you may use a POP account for your email.  With a POP account, email applications like Mail and Outlook can remove emails from the server, so when another device tries to check the server for new emails, it doesn't see any.
You may need to adjust settings in Outlook so that the emails are not removed from the server when downloaded.  I found an article with more information:
When using a POP email account with multiple devices, email messages may only appear on the first device that receives them. This occurs when an email client is configured to automatically remove email from the server once an email client has received it. You can configure your email client (or clients) either to keep a copy of the email on the server, remove it after a certain number of days have passed, or keep it until you move it from your Inbox.
I recommend reviewing the full article for steps on adjusting these settings; you can find the full article here:
Using a POP account with multiple devices

  • Hi! I used to have an Android G2 but it broke recently. Instead of buying a new one, an old friend of mine let me have his old Verizon iPhone 4s. Can I take it to Verizon and have it as a temporary phone?

There's a couple options. It's not the easiest. Another way to not have to wait is to call V from another phone 8009220204 and they can activate it and walk you thru settings. Depending on where youre located CS might be closed but if you got the prompt for emergency tech support they are 24/7.

  • Can I take back hd space or should I delete the pc side?

    Greettings everyone,
I really don't use the pc side as I thought I would and now I am running out of hard disk space on the laptop. Can I take back some of the allocated space from the pc side? If not, I think I will just delete it. Can I just delete the "my pc" hard disk icon on the desk top?
    Thank you for any help.

When you don't need the Windows partition and the data on it any more, you can open Boot Camp Assistant (Applications > Utilities) and revert the HD to a single drive.
Caution: All data on the windows partition will be removed! So make sure you saved the needed data from it!

Do you have wifi syncing turned on? Is your itunes always open?
There is a glitch with the iPad where, as long and anytime iTunes is open, it'll sync...like once an hour or some such rate.
Originally the wifi syncing was only supposed to take place if the device is plugged into power, but that's not the case. If I have my iTunes open my iPad will try to sync almost continuously.
So check your wifi sync and iTunes settings (my iTunes used to be set to open automatically when the device is connected, I had to change it to only open when I do it manually because in the course of an evening's surfing my iPad opened my iTunes and started to sync three different times until I turned it off)
If you have iCloud syncing enabled that may also be contributing to your battery issues. I don't sync over iCloud, I tried it but after it ate all my contacts, I stopped using it. However, if the same glitch is present, the device trying to continually sync even when not plugged into power, that could also be part of your drain.

  • I lost my iPhone 4 yesterday. However, I hadn't installed Find my iPhone. What can I do? I still have serial numbers of that phone.

    Change your passwords.
    Report it to the police.
    Alert your carrier.
    Buy a new phone.

  • I need to get photos off a water damaged iPhone 3GS. Can I take out the component that has the photos (is this the main board?) and put it into another of the same phone to retrieve the photos? Please help

I need to get photos off a water damaged iPhone 3GS. It spent time underwater, saltwater. I let it dry for a week, turned it on, the apple symbol came on, then it died. I need to retrieve my photos off it. Can I take out the component that has the photos (is this the main board?) and put it into another of the same phone to retrieve the photos? Please help

You're talking about the logic board. The two most likely things to get toasted, with water damage, are the battery(it shorts out), & the logic board. The worst water damage would be salt water. I'm afraid your logic board is toast.

  • Iphone Battery Bloated

    Hello,
My iphone battery is bloated. i bought this here in the Philippines but, i learned that the iphone is from Australia. Can this be replace here?
    Thanks!

No. It can only be serviced in the country where it originated. Nearly every documented case of this can be traced to faulty counterfeit parts and/or botched repair jobs by unauthorized 3rd parties.

I can't get to my music on the music app. It always stays at iTunes radio

    Hello Maggiemo53
I would restore the iPhone and put a previous back up that you had without his information on it. The steps for restoring and putting a back up back on are outline in the article below.

  • I accidentally imported and deleted my pictures and videos to my iphone. How can i send back my pictures and videos that i accidentally imported? please reply thanks

my iphone has no sim so that i cant connect to the internet.

Import them just like you would any other photos, via iTunes.
You have to connect to iTunes, and sync via the photos tab.
This will create a new album, so it won't add ot the camera roll but be in the photos app.
Without a sim card you can still connect to wifi, so you do have internet access if you can get wifi accesss.

If the donor has warranty left regardless of the OoW status the above counts
That was a quote from the OoW section
When setting up out-of-warranty service, Apple will request credit card pre-authorization for the maximum service fee listed above.  This amount will be deducted from your credit limit. The final service fee we charge will be determined during testing and may be less than the service fee listed above.  Certain damage is ineligible for out-of-warranty service, including catastrophic damage, such as the device separating into multiple pieces, and inoperability caused by unauthorized modifications. However, an iPhone that has failed due to contact with liquid may be eligible for out-of-warranty service.  Apple reserves the right to determine whether or not your iPhone is eligible for Out-of-Warranty service. iPhones that are repaired or replaced have a 90-day limited hardware warranty or assume the remainder of your standard warranty or AppleCare service contract coverage, whichever is longer. Please see Apple's Repair Terms And Conditions for further details.
Sorry but the above is crystal clear
I admit I've never paid any attention to that note on the support page, and reading it, in my own personal experience, it is not interpreted as written, at least in the USA.  Again, based on my own personal service experience, the terms that legally apply and are in fact applied when seeking out of warranty service on any Apple product, are those in the general terms http://www.apple.com/legal/sales-support/terms/repair/generalservice.html.  If you read section three, there is no mention nor implication that anything done "out of warranty" carries anything but the 90 day coverage (and those terms expressly nullify any and all other).
It may also be completely different in different countries as well, depending on how local consumer laws affect what a company can or cannot do.  But it has been my experience in the USA, when I have sought out of warranty service on Apple products (iOS devices as well as others), the warranty is considerd null and void, and only the limited warranty mentioned in the link above applies to the replacement device or parts.
That's all I am going to say on it as I'm not about to get into an interpretive legal debate over lawyerize in warranty documents.  Anyone seeking out of warranty service can simply confirm with Apple for themselves what applies, in their specific situation and their specific country.

  • Can you take a Video still to "create" a jpg ?

I need some photos of some people for a calendar, but I only have VIDEO of them. If there some way to isolate an individual digital frame and essentially create a photograph that can be e-mailed? There is nothing about doing this in the tutorials.
