Iphone battery not lasting 1 day
iphone 4 battery, one and one-half years old not lasting throught even 1 day. turned off and on, no help.
took it to apple. they checked battery, it was ok, but they did a dfu (deep firmware upgrade) and replaced the battery (I was wrong on the age - it was still under warranty). Had to re-set it up, but it seems fine now.
Again - I appreciate your help.

@toyourcee Did You Updated your Phone to a new OS - If Did then the battery will be consumed a lot for the first 48 hours of the Update - After that the Battery will get back to Normal

I am using iphone 3gs since last 4 days. Till yesterday night it was working fine and i have connected this phone for charging . Morning there was apple logo in the screen and every 1mte (approx) it is blinking. I could not restart the phone.Plz help . I have tried to reset even by pressing sleep and home button but it could not help. Please suggest. Still i have connected for charging .
Sounds like you have corrupt backup data, if this occurs from one phone to another. Try restoring the phone as a new device, without a backup. Try using for a day before installing any other apps, etc. See if that improves the battery life. Then try syncing back applications a couple at a time. Something seems to be locking in the processor which is draining the battery.
Do you live in an area where there are Apple Stores? If so, try making an appointment with the Genius Bar to have the device checked out. -

PaulTo help maximize your battery life you can turn off cellular data when not using it, turning your brightness all the way down, also setting your auto lock to 1 minute so if you forget to lock your phone. You could also turn notifications off so that your screen wont go on when you get a notification.

Battery not last longer
I have had it stop sending/receiving calls 3 times now... the first two times the problem went away the next day, but this time I am two days out and still not working.
I have not replaced my phone, I am afraid to do it because from another thread that I read, it usually doesn't fix the problem.
Here is the other thread I found: I can't make or take phone calls, but i can message and use data. Has this happened to anyone else? I've gone through three Samsung Galaxy S5's in the past three days, two of which have this problem and one just stopped working all together.
My problem started on day 15 so I couldn't just get a replacement at the store, had to get a rma to get a replacement. If you have only had the phone for 3 days you might want to go to your store and have them replace it with a new one. Me, if I could I would switch to another phone, but it looks like I am stuck with the S5 for now. -

Has anyone purchased an iPhone in the last few days, and if so, could you tell me something
was it version 1.0.2
or was it version 1.1.1, and if it was, was the iTunes purple icon in the picture on the iPhone box?
I read elsewhere, if you buy an iPhone , and it doesn't have the iTune icon on the box, it is 1.0.2
If it has a new picture with the icon, than it is 1.1.1,

The firmware inside is 1.1.1 if purchased from Apple. If it is older stock from ATT it might still have 1.0.2 but most likely won't activate until your update the firmware to 1.1.1 -- that is how they normally do their updates for iPods as well. -

If yes, contact your Exchange administrator in your IT department and have him check your account. He will probably see constant polling from your phone and can help you resolve this. -
IPhone 4s battery not lasting long even on standby
For last 2 days now my iPhone hasn't been holding its charge, even in standby mode.
I took screen shots of it earlier and at 5:54am whilst in work the battery was at 82% then it stayed in standby in my pocket until the next screenshot I took and the percentage was falling fast, by 9:28 the percent was at 1.
Does anyone here know if there is anything I can do? I have restored the iPhone and also let the battery charge up to 100% from no charge in it and to no avail!
The phone is only a month and a half old and nothing has changed since the last 2 days so hard to understand why it has started doing this, brightness has always been at 100% so that's not affecting it.
I would go to an apple store to ask but closest one is 160 miles away :(

When in sleep mode iPhone 4 loses signal but as soon as its on again it searches and finds signal easily but because of this not getting calls or text msges and because it's searching for signal all the time battery not lasting
Here are some observations and a suggestion.
1) I mentioned before, that the number of views of this discussion forum is fast approaching 100,000. I suppose relative to all iPhones sold that is not a great percentage, but 100,000 still sounds pretty impressive to me. Consider also that many people probably have this same Sim problem and are not viewing this discussion forum because thay do not know it exists. How many people are REALLY experiencing this problem? Who knows. But I suspect it is more that 100,000.
2) To the best of my knowledge, Apple does not consult these forums as a guide to awareness of product performance. It may be company policy, but most of the time when I speak to an Apple employee they seem remarkably unaware of the "Top Stories" in the Apple Discussion Forum. This, despite the fact that my personal experience with customer service at Apple is excellent. So, as much as we of this discussion forum are confident SOMEONE important at Apple is reading all our posts and taking them to heart...I am not so sure.
3) I have been told over and over that the best way to gain Apple's attention regarding a problem is to post a comment on their Feedback Site. One comment about a problem is pretty worthless. 100,000 comments on the same issue, I'm guessing, will really get their attention.
4) Some folks have mentioned a recall to address this problem. Although such a thing is always a possibility, I don't see it happening. Why? When the brakes on a Toyota don't work, or that Toyata starts to accelerate without driver intention...well, that involves human life and the stakes are quite high. For many reasons you would see the automotive industry eventually be forced into a recall program under such a situation. But, a phone APPEARS to not nearly be such a life and death device. Or is it? My daughter's iPhone 4S developed a "SIM FAILURE" on the same day her car broke down in the middle of the very rural area we live at around 10:00 pm. She is 17 years old and was coming home from high school play practice. You can imagine the anxiety I and her mother felt when she did not arrive home on time. She eventually walked about a quarter mile to a house of a stranger and had to ask to use their phone to call us. Now, I am not saying that strangers where I live are not to be trusted. But, in addition to being worried out of my mind, I was not happy that an inoperative iPhone 4S caused my daughter to be put in this situation. My biggest concern now is...when will my daughter's iPhone become inoperative again due to SIM FAILURE?
5) The more folks in this discussion forum who post a comment about this issue in Apple's feedback site the more pressing this issue is going to be perceived by Apple. So, I like others, encourage all of you to do so. If this seems like a lot of effort, I offer you these few sentences below that you could just copy and paste into the feedback site.

I wish to register a strong concern about my iPhone's unpredictable inoperability due to failures somehow associated with it's SIM technology. I would ask you to please give fixing this problem your greatest priority and effort.

Yeah. Double tap the home button and the screen will shift upwards to show all your running apps. Just press and hold one until they start 'wiggling' then press the 'no entry' like sign that appears in the top left corner of the apps. That'll close them and release the memory and resources they're taking up
