IPhone Bluetooth with Acura

After completing the iPhone 2.1 update, my phone continued to sync via Bluetooth with my Acura; however, upon an incoming call, answering the call with the vehicle control no longer works. It will answer but the audio gets lost in space and the radio comes back on and the call hangs in silence from the callers perspective.
I have to manually change the audio form the iLink to the iPhone and talk on the handset. Calling seems to be flaky as well. Interesting enough with the updates 2.0.1 and 2.0.2, the Bluetooth worked magnificently.

i purchased my 3G Iphone on Sunday Oct 19th so its running their most recent 2.1 firmware. i too have a 2005 Acrua TL and it has the same problem with picking up calls. i can make calls thru the handsfree bluetooth link, but as soon as i receive a call, the phone wont transfer the call over to the car's mic and speakers. this is a big problem here in Calif since we have the handsfree law now. when i called apple support, the best advice the tech had for me was to do 1) a hard reset of the phone by holding down the homekey and the soft reset key, 2) if that didnt work to go and disconnect and re-pair the phone with the car, and if that still didnt work 3) for me to contact my car manufacturer to see if they know of any issues. when i told her that i previously had a Motorla Razor that didnt have any connectivity issues, she proceeded to tell me that this isnt a phone, its more of a computer... which to me was a moronic statement since the type of device doesnt matter. apple needs to fix this across all car types. there's obviously some issue with the new firmware that doesnt allow for the transfer to occur.

  • 3G iphone integration with Acura

I currently have a 2006 Acura TSX which has a factory connection for my ipod. Works pretty well. Charges; controls on the steering wheel; cuts over to bluetooth phone (not iphone) when needed. Does anyone know if there is a product which will do the same thing with the iphone. I have looked at a variety of sites, Best Buy, Crutchfield, Amazon, but can't get a straight answer. My goals are simple:
    1. Run music through hard wire connection and control with current stereo controls.
    2. Charge iphone while in use.
    3. Use bluetooth for phone.
    TIA

    I have a 06 Acura TL, with iPhone 3G v2.2
I can get the phone to make outgoing calls fine.
When I get a call, can answer it with the car, but the phone does not transmit the audio through the car. I have to change the audio source on the phone and use the handset for the call. (basically it answers the phone, but does not transfer the call)
I also cannot transfer calls. When I try, the car says that no call is in progress.
I just got the phone a couple of weeks ago, so I don't know if older firmware version would have worked, but it seems from reading around firmware 2.1 broke the phone functions with the car.
Apple - any update on this issue?

  • Bluetooth with Acura 2008 MDX?

I recently purchased a new Apple I-phone; but I cannot connect it with the GPS Navigation System in my 2008 Acura MDX(My Old Blackberry Curve worked fine) any suggestion to solve my problem would be greatly appreciated.

Check the firmware on the iphone. I assume by connect you mean you wish to establish a bluetooth connection to your car nav system. Some devices worked just fine with 1.1.2. Something happened with 1.1.3. I have a BMW with the nav system...no longer works. I have a Nuvi 660 from Garmin, bluethooth no longer works. Both worked before I updated to 1.1.3. These days I teeter on going back to my old sony 810. Iphone is a great phone but not worth the unexpected surprises like this. I have the apple bluetooth headset, which actually did continue working, however even the dock that comes with that product reports back as "This accessory was not designed to work with the iphone." Imagine that! It was a product singularly designed to work with the iphone! BUG!

  • NOKIA 5800XM bluetooth with ACURA MDX

    Hi Every1
I just got my NOKIA 5800XM couple of days ago.  I have successfully paired it with the Handsfreelink in ACura MDX 07. BUt, I can't dial out.
    Please help.

    Hi,
This has happened with all my android phones (Eris,Ally, DroidX) with my JagXF.  Sometimes rebooting the phone helps, other times I have to delete the phone from my car and re-pair the devices. I really think  Android has a problem with bluetooth though as it didn't happen with my Samsung Omnia and since it happened with 3 different droid phones, what  u think?  Hope this helps!!

  • How do i use my Platronix bluetooth with iPhone 4 to listen to music.

How do i use my Platronix bluetooth with iPhone4 to listen to music.
Its a mono bluetooth paired with the phone.
I dont want to buy a new stereo headset but can i use this same one.

One way is to sync the contacts from the old iPhone to iCloud. Then when you turn on the new phone and set it up for iCloud and turn on the Contacts in Settings >iCloud, they will come to the new phone. http://www.apple.com/icloud/setup/

When my iPhone 4S (with ios7) experiences a failed call while connected to my Bluetooth hands free in my car(screen locked) the failed call appears on the locked screen, as it should, the problem arises whenever I unlock the phone, it automatically redials the last failed call, it doesn't do this with missed calls that are on the locked screen, if any. It is really annoying as sometimes the phone doesn't respond to attempts to end the call before it connects to the number. I then have to explain that it was my phone and not me, I look like an idiot, which I don't really need any extra help with!! Does anyone have any ideas? I don't want to stop missed call from showing in the locked screen but it might be associated with the failed calls and therefore be the only resolution

I have had the same issue which was driving me mad but think I have just found a way around it. In iOS 7 if you swipe up on the lock screen to access quick settings and go into timer then click the home button you get into the phone without calling the person back. Not a great 'fix' but hope it works for you. Come on Apple this isn't good enough, fix this bug otherwise you will lose your customers.

  • I have just updated my iPhone 4 with latest IOS 7 and now wi fi greyed out and Bluetooth not working. Tried reset, restore everything - no use. Its out of warranty too. I refuse to pay for a new phone when clearly this is an apple issue not phone issue.

Can anyone help? I updated my iPhone 4 with latest iOS 7 and now wi fi is greyed out, Bluetooth won't work and tbh am so angry! Phone now out of warranty so apple won't help without it costing me. Don't want to pay as its an apple problem not phone problem. It worked ok before. Tried everything, even clearing it down. Can't even back it up now unless I connect to a pc!

I have not had wifi since November when I upgraded to the newest IOS version.  I called the Apple help line and they told me some things to do and I tried them all and they worked for a few hours and then wifi shut off again.  I kept doing what they told me and it worked for a couple more days and then I could never turn it on again.  My blue tooth doesn't work either.  I had to actually increase my data usage with AT&T becuase of this.  When I did that in December I went to the Apple store and was told that it is a hardware issue and since my phone is out of warranty I would have to pay for a new phone because they could not fix the issue.  My upgrade isn't up until June 2014 so not only do I have to wait for the upgrade and I am not paying for a new phone but I have to pay $10 plus extra a month on my cell phone bill because I was going over on my Data!!!  I have been beyond upset about this and Apple is not doing anything about this nor did they offer up some way to resolve the issue because obviously it is not just some rare incident if several people are having this issue.  Who knows how many people out there have had this issue and have not said anything about it.  Now there is a newer update that I can't do because it requires wifi in order to download.
June can not get here fast enough and I may not go back to Iphone after dealing with this for so long with no help from Apple.

  • How can I get my iPhone 4 w/ iOS6 to Connect bluetooth with my Alpine CDE-133BT Car Stereo?

My iPhone 4 with iOS6 will not send a bluetooth signal to the Alpine CDE-133BT Stereo I installed on my 2006 Toyota Tacoma. It had previously connected with iOS5. I contacted Crutchfield where I opurchased the stereo from and they said this is a common complaint with multiple brands of stereos not being compatible with the new iOS6 update. Has anyone had this issue and has a solution? Or is this something that Apple will have to fix?
BTW, my phone recognizes my stereo as a bluetooth device but the stereo does not recognize the phone.
    Thanks.

Hi I've had my CDE-133BT since July and recently updated to IOS6 on my iPhone 4 (not an S).
I had to hold the BT phone button and forget all the devices paired to the 133BT.
    Then pair the phone again.
I can stream music now however I can't control (change tracks, pause or play from the 133BT).
This is because Alpine needs to update the firmware I believe.
    Hope that helped!

    Hello, lustige luka.
Thank you for visiting Apple Support Communities.
The Personal Hotspot feature using USB  should be as simple as connecting the device to your Mac via the USB cable when Hotspot is enabled.  Here is some more information regarding this feature and an article that will provide some troubleshooting steps if you are experiencing an issue.

  • Work around with Connecting iphone bluetooth

I read earlier this week about a work around with connecting the iphone bluetooth. I forgot to save a copy of it. Does anyone have a copy or link to it. I think it was 10 or 11 steps. Thanks!

You cannot pair a MacBook (or any computer for that matter) with an iDevice. That function is not supported.

  • I have iphone 6 with ios 8.1.1. The bluetooth pairs with my sony car radio and everything works fine. However, the iphone won't stop searching for other devices.

I have an iPhone 6 with ios 8.1.1 operating system. The Bluetooth pairs with my Sony car radio and works fine. However, the iPhone will not stop searching for other devices. This does not seem to affect anything, but I can't help but think it is using battery power.

    One possibility:
How do you know it is searching for other devices?  Because you opened Settings > Bluetooth?
Why is it searching for other devices? Because you opened Settings > Bluetooth?

  • I can't connect my iphone 4 via bluetooth with my car phone

I cant connect my iphone via bluetooth with my car phone. Bluetooth is switched on on the iphone and the car phone says ready for bluetooth telephony yet the phone just keeps on searching without connecting? Any ideas as Apple phone support doesn't start until 9am (not very accommodating for a company whose equipment runs 24/7)

    Car phone?
You are trying to connect your iphone to another phone?

Restore should not be the issue here. I just upgraded to the 3G iPhone and everything worked but Bluetooth pairing. Here is the troubleshooting tip for Apple iPhone Headsets (it's probably similar if you have a non-Apple headset)
    1) Turn the headset off.
    2) Press and hold the headset button for about eight seconds, until you hear the startup tones and then five quick high beeps. The headset remains discoverable for about five minutes. The status light blinks green for as long as the headset
is discoverable. During this time, your iPhone should sense the headset—you can confirm it by going into Settings>General>Bluetooth>Then press the device name once it pops up.
    Hope that helps....
