IPhone calander sync from Palm Software?

I am interested in purchasing an IPhone. I cuurenty use a Palm Treo 680 and use the Palm Software for my calander and address book. If I purchase an Iphone can my information from the Palm software be sync to the Iphone using 2007 Outlook? I'm not much of a computer wiz. How can it be done and is it easy. Thank you.

Sync your Palm to MS Outlook. When you connect the iPhone it will then sync with Outlook and suck in your calendar and contacts (but not ToDos and memos).
For Outlook sync (if you don't do it now) you can reinstall Palm Desktop and choose to sync to Outlook instead. Or go to www.chapura.com and download Pocket Mirror. switchsync (http://www.livepim.com/switchsync/) also has tools to do this.

Welcome to Apple Discussions.
You should first try to correct the problem by dragging the AddressBook.data file out of your Address Book folder at the end of this path:
Macintosh HD:Users:<username>:Library:Application Support:Address Book
Duplicate the AddressBook.data.previous file, and rename it simple AddressBook.data and launch the application to see if it can recover your files.
If not, you should understand that there is no easy, quick, painless way to achieve what you want - moving a copy of your handheld data to your Macintosh.
You can restore synchronization to the Palm Desktop, by moving the Apple conduit out of the active Conduits folder, and by moving the following disabled Palm conduits out of the Disabled Conduits folder and back into the active one:
• Address Conduit
• Calendar Conduit
• Contacts Conduit
• Datebook Conduit
• Tasks Conduit
• ToDo Conduit
(Only one of each conduit pair is used by your Treo 650, but these instructions would also apply to users of the older conduits.)
By setting each conduit to Handheld overwrites Macintosh, you will transfer the data on your smartphone to the Palm Desktop, overwriting any existing records by doing so.
You can then export contact data as a vCard file and calendaring data as a vCal file but, here's a problem: you cannot export task or to do data, so in this process, you will lose all of the to do items in iCal. Once you have exported the Palm Desktop data in vCard and vCal format, you can import the contents of each file into the Address Book and iCal, remembering that your vCal file contains only event—and not to do—data.
You can then return the Palm conduits to the Disabled Conduits folder and the iSync Palm Conduit to the active one, and synchronize once again with iSync, choosing to overwrite the contents of your handheld with the data from the Address Book and iCal. Once again, say goodbye to your to do records. You do this by removing your device from iSync and adding it back prior to the next synchronization, causing the framework to act as if you have never synchronized before. Choose Replace (and not Merge) to avoid data duplication errors.
Do you see why periodically backing up Address Book and iCal data is so important? To do so, just select the Back up Address Book in the Address Book or the Back up Database option in iCal.

How can I delete a podcast thats only on my iPhone, not synced from iTunes.

I have two podcast episodes that will not delete from my iPhone. They are from a show that I update (by syncing) everyday and appear on the iPhone (since October) but will not erase or appear on iTunes. Can I delete them straight from the iPhone or do I need to connect it with iTunes to delete? It is more of a nuisance than anything else. Thanks for the help.

Palm m515 lost power and all data and will no longer Sync to Palm Software

I guess I waited too long between charges and my Palm Lost all its data - however it all backed up on my work PC. The issue is that when I try to sync it, it asks me to select a user and then I get the following error message "HotSync operation was interrupted. Some of your data was NOT backed up. For details, tap HotSync Long on the HotSync screen." However there are no details to be found, it just says "HotSync operation was terminated. Some of your data was not NOT backed up."
I am hoping that there is something I can do without reinstalling the software since 1 - all of my information going back to 2002 is only on my computer and 2 - I am not able to install apps on my work computer.

I went to C:\Program Files\Palm - there was no PalmOne folder. The folders in this folder are _PqiTemp_, Components, helpnote, Image Library, PergolC, Photodesktop, Themes, Update and USB_Driver. In PergolC there was a folder called backup, which had pictures in it. I renamed it oldBackup and it still isn't working.
Please let me know what else to try. I have selected my name as the user each time.

How to see iPhone contacts (synced from Google) in Messages app on Mac

I use Google contacts as my master contacts
My iPhone 7 (iOS 7) Contacts are synched with Google Contacts.
The Messages app in the iPhone shows the names of the people I'm messaging with - however
The Messages app in my iMac (Mavericks) does not show the names of the people I'm messaging with -- it shows just their phone number
How can I configure my iMac so that my Messages app shows the names of the people i'm messaging with?
From what i can tell, I need to figure out a way to sync my iMac Contacts app with the Contacts app on my iPhone via iCloud.
When I configure iCloud to sync contacts between the iPhone and the iMac, the synchronization is one-way only. Any contacts in my iMac show up in my iPhone. But all my other contacts in iPhone (synched from Google Contacts) do not show up in the iMac.
How can I synch ALL my iPhone Contacts to my iMac? (including the ones that are in the iPhone because they were synched from Google Contacts).

Sync the contacts on your Mac with Google Contacts as well... There is no need to involve iCloud.
Perhaps you should take a look at Google's help pages.

Trying to change sync from Palm Desktop to outlook treo 680

I currently use/sync palm desktop for my calendar buyt I use outlook for my email. I am trying to change the sync to outlook so that I can have my data in all one spot. I changed the PIM conduit to say outlook. Then I tried to re sync. It appeared that everything synced, but when I went into outlook none of my data was there. Am I doing something wrong? I have a treo 680 and windows xp. Thanks for your help

Hello Peter15, Welcome to the Palm Support Community.
To change the sync program, look here:
Start Button/All Programs/Palm/PIM Conduit Sync/Sync with Outlook. At the next HotSync it will try to sync with Outlook.
It ~should~ give you an option of which profile to sync with.

Can't sync from palm pilot to desktop

I have a Z22 Palm Pilot and have been unable to hotsync with the desktop since its installation. What do I need to do to get it to begin syncing properly?

IPHONE AND SYNCING FROM ITUNES

07/15/2010 I PURCHASED A SEASON OF A TV SHOW VIA ITUNES. I TRIED TO SYNC THE SHOWS TO MY IPHONE BUT IT WON'T. I DO SEE THAT SEASON OF SHOWS HAS BEEN PURCHASED AND ARE ON MY COMPUTER. HOW CAN I GET THESE SHOWS ON MY IPHONE. I'VE PUCHASED BEFORE AND NO PROBLEM, SYNCED TO IPHONE EASILY BUT NOT NOW.

did u perhaps change your settings to "sync only selected songs/videos" and forget to select that video?
I did that when I went from an 80 G iPod to an 8G iPhone and couldn't just sync the entire music library. Then when I added a new CD to iTunes, I couldn't figure out why it wouldn't sync and then I noticed that....

IPhone contact syncing from another computer.

My Friend has an old 3Gs and wants to transfer all his contacts from his old 3Gs to his new iPhone 4s. Only catch is he doens't have a cpmpoture and was wondering if it is possible to do it using my MacBook despite the fact that his old phone was synced to his ex-girlfriends computer and has never been synced to mine.

Then it must be a 3G rather than a 3GS. Probably the only option then is to transfer them to a gmail exchange account on the old phone, as explained here: http://transfer-iphone-contacts.blogspot.com/p/transfer-iphone-contacts-via-gmai l.html. Then set up the same exchange account on the new phone and turn contact syncing to On. Then be sure not to sync contacts with iCloud on the new phone. (Trying to sync data with both iCloud and gmail exchange can create problems.)

Updating Apps on iPhone via Sync from iTunes

I am accustomed to updating the apps on my iPhone by first downloading the new versions to iTunes and then syncing my phone. This is how I've done it for years. It no longer works this way. Now, when I download the update to my computer and sync, the iPhone still indicates that apps are waiting to be updated. So then I need to update the iPhone.
Is there a way to get the updated version of these apps to sync over to iPhone? It was easier that way. If I cannot do this, then can anyone even tell me the purpose of downloading app updates to the computer? If they just sit there without syncing over to the phone, what's the point????

You can have it off then if you don't want the kid's stuff.
With your iPhone selected & connected to Mac iTunes Sidebar (iTunes menu > View > Show Sidebar), check if in Apps pane the apps you're interested in selected?

IPad 2/iPhone 4s synced from iMac iCal with no alerts, creating alerts 15 hours before each event

My wife set up all her work meetings in iCal on her work calendar. Each event has no alert assigned. Right clicking on the work calendar and choosing Get Info, the drop down window shows an option to Ignore Alerts and it is checked. In iCal Preferences under the Alerts tab, all 3 alerts are set to none.
On the iPad 2 and the iPhone 4s, under Settings - Mail, Contacts, Calendars - Default Alert Times are set to None while New Invitation Alerts and Shared Calendar Alerts are turned off.
Choose Calendar on the home page to bring up the calendar. then click any of the work events and it shows an alert for 15 hours before the event, and they do go off 15 hours before the events and quite annoying they are. The only way to get rid of the alert, is to go to each individual event, select Edit, select Alert, select None then Done, then Done again and then Save For Future Events since most of the events are repetitive.
Why does syncing the iPad & iPhone add this alert and is there not anyway to not have that happen? It makes for a very time consuming process to go thru each event on each device to remove this alert.
Some other posts have had a similiar issue with no working fixes. Guess Apple is too busy fixing Maps. ;-)

IPhone calendar syncing from phone to phone

How can I sync a calendar using iCal to iPhone and iPhone (with Mobile Me) to iPhone (without Mobile Me)?
I have 2 iPhones at our company that need to have the same work calendar. We need to be able to update the calendar between the two phones and my iMac without sharing a Mobile Me acct or publishing our calendar.
How can we update one work calendar (preferably without setting up a Mobile Me acct on the other iPhone as well)?

I am having a similar problem. I think that my phone actually deleted a couple appointments, as well. Today I entered a repeating event on my phone. It still has not shown up on my MacBook or my iPad, hours later. I believe it is because my iCloud Sync was turned off on my phone. I just checked - It said that my password was entered incorrectly. I think that must have happened when I upgraded to iOS6. I fixed it now and am waiting to see if my iCal sync happens.

Hot sync from Palm TX to desktop

I have a new Palm TX and it keeps changing the time of my appointments on the desktop to an hour later than I enter. My handheld is correct, but the desktop shows the appointments an hour later. What can I do?

Check to make sure the time on your computer is correct - now that we are in daylight savings time, it could very well be that your computer time is wrong.
You should see the current time displayed on the bottom right of your computer screen. If the time there is wrong, you can change it by double-clicking on it. A box will come up with a calendar and clock which you can update.

I tried to sync through outlook as the instructions said but had problems with installing outlook on the XP machine, had problems with the Palm software on my Windows 7 machine, etc. Spent lots of hours trying to get this to work but I think most of the problems were due to issues with my 2 different computers. Finally found out about CompanionLink. Installed that software on my XP machine since that is where my Palm Desktop resides. Had to add the app DejaOffice on my I-Phone. Synced the 2 together and everything was transferred onto my phone in the Dejaoffice app. All calendar and contact information was also synced into the I-phone calendar and contact list. The only thing I will have to copy and paste are the reminders and other notes into the phone reminders and notes and then I should be able to delete the DejaOffice app. The companionlink software is usually 49.95 to purchase but you can download a trial version for 14 days which works just fine. It took a total of about 25 minutes to download and sync my Palm and phone and I had previously spent at least 8 hours trying to get things to work. So frustrating. But thank you for at least offering some help.
