Iphone calendar issue

When creating an event in the calendar that spans a few days, the final day of the event does not appear in the calendar. For example: an event that you set from the 1st of April to the 5th of April, the calendar only shows the 1st to the 4th marked with a dot. If you actively view the 5th an event is shown below but the absent dot is essential for an "at a glance" assessment of one's schedule.
Having installed IOS 6.1 I thought this issue might have been resolved, apparently not.
My father's iPhone 4S also has this issue so I'm fairly confident we're the only two people to have experienced this peculiar and irritating fault with the inbuilt calendar.

I finally figured out that I have to change the timzone in the calendar settings as well as under the General>Data/Time Settings

  • Iphone calendar issues in list view

    Hi can anyone help.
I have two iphones both 3G on a 8gb one a 16gb. Both are synced via mobileme to ICAL which contains 4 different calendars.
ONe the 16gb everything works fine. On the 8gb the list view has become corrupted so that it splits events into different days when on same day and also assigns spurious dates e.g. 2031 etc... the view on day or month are correct. I've hard rebooted several times. Deleted calendar from sync and aslo done a system restore from itunes. to no avail.
    any ideas?

I have the same problem too. Used iPhone for a year just syncing with my Mac via iTunes and no problems but have had some weird issues now I've started using mobile.me - most of which I seem to have gotten through ...except this latest one! Everything is fine in Day & Month views but in List the events straddle the days - i.e. my later ones today appear in tomorrow's list and so on down the line!

  • IPhone Calendar Issues with Outlook/Exchange

When I receive a new meeting invitation it shows up in my iPhone as a new invitation (correctly) and also in my desktop Outlook client as a meeting invitation (correctly). However, I then experience the following two issues...
    1) If I accept the invitation through the iPhone, it sends the "accept" to the meeting organizer either as a "tentative" OR it sends it as an "accept" but shows the tentative question mark icon.
    2) If I accept the invitation from the desktop Outlook client, the invitation is not removed from the iPhone and I then would have to go in and also accept from the iPhone which would send a duplicate email to the meeting organizer.
I searched other threads but couldn't find answers to these two issues. Anyone know why it sends the wrong "accept" icon to the meeting organizer when accepting from the phone or the calendar doesn't synch correctly and remove the invitation when I have already accepted from Outlook?
    (iPhone 3G, Outlook 2003, Exchange 2007, WinXP)

but sometimes the iphone invite is removed and updated perfectly fine and sometimes it isn't. maybe there is something i can do to ensure it updates properly (such as open the invite so it's not "new" on iphone) then close then accept through outlook or something?
also don't see why sending the rsvp as yes back formats the icon as a tentative instead of accept when the email says accept - sounds like a bug not a ".ics is not supported" problem?

  • IPhone calendar issues

I've been having a problem with my iphone 4s and ever person in my company is having the same issue and no one can figure it out.
We all use Iphone 4s and have mac book pro's running office and mail is on an exchange server.
When a calendar appoitment is made for multiple days with a start and stop time(Not an all day) and someone is invited the appoitment comes through as an all day appoitment and is moved one day back. ( So if it was made 9am monday to tuesday at 3pm it changes to all day and moved to tuesday-wed)
Every day/time setting have been verified and checked several hundred times.  Phones have been restared reset every possible help desk soultion.  This happens for over 50 people so its not a setting or user error.
Our email hosting company says its not them. (Intermedia)  The calendar appoitment normally shows correct on the computer but is always wrong on the phones.
    Please help!

After reviewing the boards, I was going to post this same issue.  I am glad someone finally brought this issue up.  We are having the same exact issue, and nobody seems to want to take accountability for the problem.
When accepting calandar invites, ours is doing the same exact thing, and moving the date ahead a day as well as changing the event to an all-day event.
Apple/Intermedia, please identify this issue for your user base, as it is causing serious issues with travel and meeting planning.

  • IPhone Calendar issue, I just do not understand why!!!

I am not sure if anyone from Apple actually read these threads, but I find it quite odd, that with all the advancements the new OS has, that custum coloring a calendar can not be added. I am submitting two screen shots and as you can see multiple calendars representing different items were colored the same. This is not really what I was intending.

Please try and make a custum set of colors available, I am thinking that 6 colors would be ok a good minimum. Does everyone in iPhone land agree or disagree and where can I write to apple for this request?

Apple don't monitor here for suggestions - they do accept them at

This is a nice idea, BTW. Those of us lucky enough to be Mac users at least get to set the colour on the desktop - I don't know how to do this in Windows

    No, never had the problem.

  • My Iphone calendar events are not showing up in iCal when I sync? Syncing has not been an issue till today?

My Iphone calendar events are not showing up in iCal when I sync? Syncing has not been an issue till today?

I found this tip from a 2011 discussion on the same topic.
Open iCal and backup or export your entries. Make a note of the fie name and location, you're going to need them in a minute. Once your backup/export is completed, close the iCal application.
Open Finder and remove everything inside the "Username/Library/Calendars" folder. For instance, if your username is "Joe", then move everything inside the "Joe/Library/Calendars" folder.
Open the iSync application. It's located in the "/Applications/" folder. Once iSync is opened, go into the iSync Preferences (iSync -> Preferences) and push/click the "Reset Sync History" button. Then, close the iSync application.
Re-Open the iCal application and Import (File -> Import) a new calendar. When prompted, use your notes from Step #1 to select the file your created earlier. Once completed, close the iCal application (you should have all of your calendar entries back.)
Open the iTunes application and connect your Apple iPhone to the computer.
Within the Advanced section of the Info tab for the Apple iPhone, check the box the overwrites/replaces the Calendar data on the Apple iPhone.
Click the Apple/Sync button. New, modified and deleted entries should now be syncing correctly.
That's it! You should be all set and iTunes, iCal and our Apple iPhone should all be playing nicely as friends again. We've used the exact method to repair our own Apple iPhone at least once... maybe even twice.

  • "All Day" Calendar issue between Lotus Notes, iPad & iPhone

I use only the Exchange sync feature to sync my corporate account with both my iPad and iPhone and both on iOS 4 latest releases. All my calendar entries (irrespective of which device I enter it on) sync flawlessly between all 3 devices. Except when I enter a multiple "All Day" event!
The computer and iPad display the correct start and end dates for the "All Day" events (so it is not a syncing issue), but the iPhone insists on shifting everything 1 day forward!
Any ideas why the iPhone does this although all other calendar entries are correct? I suspect this is something very specific in the iPhone calendar coding.

Did you ever manage to work out what was happening with this?

  • ICloud storage issue; Restoring iPhone calendar from iMac after accidental iCloud deletion

I set up iCloud to back up calendars and contacts and for find my phone.  Initially, it seemed to work alright.  Then I got messages on iPhone that there wasn't enough iCloud storage, even though the storage tab showed that I had used none of my iCloud storage at all.  So I turned off iCloud/contacts.   In iTunes I switched back from iCloud backup to backup from my iMac.
Later I got the same message about not enough room in iCloud even though only calendars involved.  So I truned off iCloud/calendar on my iPhone and was given the choice of keeping the calendars from the iCloud or deleting them (a foolish choice without a failsafe!!!).  I clumsily and mistakenly hit delete.  My calendars have most recently been synced with my new iMac and appear on the iMac and should also be in TM.  But right now there is no data in my iPhone calendar.
When i go to calendars within the iiphone calendar there is a check next to Calender under "from MY Mac" and no reference to iCloud.  (There are no separate calendars for me, my wife, and joint.  Does this mean somehow these calendars have been merged because of iCloud?)
I don't want to do another sync until I can make sure that the sync with the iMac will resotre the calendar(s) to the iPnone.  How do I do this?
Do I have to do anything on the iMac before I try a sync?
How do I avoid these problems in the future?  The only thing I really would like from iCloud is "find my phone".  How do I keep that capability without backing up or su=yncing otherwise anything through iCloud?
    Is iCloud still Beta?

Apple walked me through this and helped me revert to backing up on my iMac, using iCloud only for find my iPhone and iMac.  The process, however, is not straightforward and what the respective mac and iPhone support people (yes, they have that kind of specialization) led me through was clearer, if somewhat convoluted, than any instructions on Apple's support or community pages.
Since my main concern was not losing my calendar and contacts information, the key was saving that, via export, to my desktop.  Sorry I didn't write down all the other steps - but I see that as Apple's job.  Back in the days of the IIC, Apple's manual was a model of clarity and completeness at the same time.
Bottom line is while my immediate concerns were resolved, the underlying iCloud storage issue was not.  On my iPhone, I was being told that my attempts to backup to the iCloud failed because I didn't have enough storage, even though I determined almost none of my alloted space was used.  This issue is not helped by the multiplicity of settings relating to iCloud, or the interfaces (such as the iCloud on the iMac through Mavericks) which present a screen of icons without additional information.
For my purposes, iCloud remains Beta.

  • Issue in synchronisation hotmail (outlook) calendar/alerts to iphone calendar

Does anybody know how to synchronise iphone calendar with hotmail calendar ? Because when I imput appointments on my hotmail calendar it doesn't transfer to my iphone :(, it doesn't transfer either from iphone calendar to icloud calendar. I already configurated hotmail on my iphone via settings, hotmail etc, mail calendar are checked... I don't have problems with the mail that I can get on my iphone, just pb with calendar. Thank you. BTW I have the same issue with google calendar.

    Solved it.
You need to use "Exchange" instead of "Hotmail" for connecting a "Hotmail" account.  I love how intuitive this is.
    LOL.

  • Calendar issue with the new iphone 6 plus

I'm wondering if anyone is experiencing a problem with the default iphone calendar for iphone 6 plus?  I have consulted with apple's tech specialist both in store and online and they can't seem to figure out what's wrong.   They have apparently forwarded the issue to the engineers.  As everyone may know, dots appear under the date if you have added an event to the specific calendar date then the elaboration of the specific event appears on the bottom linear view.  What i have been experiencing on my iphone 6 plus is that the dots disappear as i scroll further and further down to future months and when i do scroll back up the dots also randomly disappears with past months/events.  The elaborated event in the linear view is still there, however, when u highlight the date.  Why is that? We've already rebooted my phone, checked all possible settings issue, unsync then resynced it to icloud, resigned to icloud, reset all settings and even changed to a new phone (thinking it was a hardware defect) but the dots were still disappearing even with the new device.  I even turned off icloud on all my devices and just used the usb cord to sync it from imac to iphone! This nightmare is still happening even without icloud! However, it doesn't do that to my iphone 5! All dots with corresponding events appear on all weeks/months on my iphone 5 calendar.
Hopefully, someone is experiencing the same issue with their default calendar on the new iphone 6 plus.    I tried my best to describe the issue, so i hope this made sense.

M glad I'm not the only one experiencing this!  Because when i spoke to apple techs it sounded like mine was an isolated case as they have not heard any complaints about this! I'll post something on this thread once apple techs have figured it out and get back to me! They initially put my icloud account on troubleshooting mode so they can look into it, however, it wasn't an icloud issue....so, they have yet to firgure it out!  I have already sent them screenshots of what my calendar was doing to my phone.

  • I updated my iphone to OS 5.0.1 and i can not add events to my iphone calendar- does anyone know how to fix this issue?

I updated my iphone to OS 5.0.1 and i can not add events to my iphone calendar- does anyone know how to fix this issue?

I updated today to the 5.0.1 and now when I try to sync to ITunes, it doesn't recognize my phone and an error message comes up saying that "This iPhone cannot be used because the Apple Mobile Device service is not started.'  What does this mean?  Never mind - I found an article in the Support about this very thing!  Thanks!

  • Sync iphone and icloud calendar issues

I have the iphone 4s. I have switched to using the icloud calendar because my phone would not sync with my pc. Data entered into the icloud calendar syncs to my iphone, but data entered into my iphone calendar does not sync to my icloud calendar. Can anyone help

    Hi KStover05,
    Welcome to Apple Support Communities.
It sounds like you're seeing an issue when trying to sync your iPhone. The article linked below describes why those alert messages appear and how to resolve issues related to them.

I am having multiple issues with syncing my iphone calendar and outlook calendar on my laptop
I mostly enter the original items on my laptop
There are often 1 hour time differences in the entries on the 2 devices and sometimes events that have been amended are not updated on iphone

This sounds like an error in Time Zone support. The time zone needs to be the same in Outlook as well as the phone.

  • HT1386 iPhone Syncing Calendar issues...

    Hi All,
I've had a recent problem in that my iPhone 4S seemingly 'lost' a load of my Calendar entries. I checked that all the Calendars where being synced by selecting 'All calendars' and this was okay, but when i tried to Sync with iTunes, I got a message saying I'd delete over 800 entries on the Computer (the 'over 25% of entries being changed' warning) if I continued, so I 'cancelled sync' of the Calendar entries...
I next followed the support page recommendation, and on iTunes>(Device)>info>advanced, clicked on the 'Replace information on this iPhone - Calendar' box. Next Sync, all entries reappeared, but whenever I've tried to Sync since it tells me that if I proceed , I will 'MODIFY' over 350 entries on the computer - something I'm a little weary of doing! Is there any advice anyone can give as to where I've gone wrong / if I should just proceed, etc?
I'm running Windows 7, and the iTunes is up to date, as is the iOS on the iPhone 4S...
Thanks very much in advance for any help!
    Kindest regards,
    Mark

I have this same issue: When I add an event on my iphone, it does not show up on icloud.com - it worked fine in the past and I haven't changed any settings. I verified the icloud calendar settings on the phone (default calendar etc..) - I tried to turn calendar icloud sync off and then back on but to no avail. help.
