IPhone Calendar not syncing to iCloud

I am running 8.0.2 on my iPhone 5c and when I add an event or appointment on my calendar, it does not sync with iCloud. When I add an appointment from icloud.com or from Outlook on my computer, it works and will sync to my phone. Just not when I add an appointment from iPhone.
Help please?
Thanks.

Howdy jandally,
It sounds like you are adding events to your iPhone 5c calendar, but they do not sync up to iCloud, but adding them to iCloud.com does sync to the phone. I would use the iOS troubleshooting section of the following article to help you get that going again, named:
iCloud: Troubleshooting iCloud Calendar

  • IPhone calendar not syncing

Please help. I am at my wit's end. I cannot get my iPhone calendar to sync to icloud nor to my Mac. Sometimes some events from my phone sync, sometimes not. I cannot figure out how to get everything to go where it should. iCloud and iCal seem to be in sync. New events from my phone do not sync. I have searched every thread I can find on the subject, no help for me. I do not use Outlook nor google calendars. Just iPhone, iCal, and iCloud. I only started using iCloud because it seemed to be the answer to this problem when my phone stopped syncing to iCal. It still doesn't work. I have tried turning off all my calendars, signing out of iCloud in my Mac's System Preferences, changing how far back events on my phone will sync, all to no avail.

I had the same problem too with certain calendars not syncing. I deleted my MobileMe account from my iPhone and then added it back again. All my data including the calendars that were not syncing repopulated my iPhone in just a few minutes. Everything seems to be working fine now.

  • Calendar on iPhone does not sync to iCloud

I have never synced anything to iCloud before. I would like to sync my iPhone 4s Calendar to the iCloud (iOS 7.0.4). I have followed all the instructions to sync to iCloud using the settings, Mail, Contacts and Calendars and iCloud, but it doesn't seem to be sending my iPhone Calendar data to the iCloud. Since I don't have any other means to back up my Calendar, I can' afford to lose my iPhone calendar data, since iTunes no longer syncs my iPhone calendar data to my iMac.  The calendar data on my iMac is not current . Any suggestions would be welcome.

Welcome to the Apple Community limill.
        1.    First check that all your settings are correct, that calendar syncing is checked on all devices (system preferences > iCloud on a mac and settings > iCloud on a iPhone, iPad or iPod).
        2.    Make sure the calendars you are using are in your 'iCloud' account and not an 'On My Mac', 'On My Phone' or other non iCloud account (you can do this by clicking/tapping the calendar button in the top left corner of the application ), non iCloud calendars will not sync.
        3.    If you are sure that everything is set up correctly and your calendars are in the iCloud account, you might try unchecking calendar syncing in the iCloud settings, restarting your device and then re-enabling calendar syncing settings.

  • IPad calendar not syncing to iCloud or iPhone

Recently, my iPad calendar stopped syncing with iCloud on my PC and my iPhone.  I can sync from my iPhone to my iPad and iCloud and I can sync from iCloud to my iPad and iPhone... Just not from my iPad.    Notes from my iPad sync fine to my iPhone and iCloud.  I have all calendar setting set on "Home" calendar.  I am at a loss to fix this nagging problem.  What is the fix?  Your help will be appreciated.   Gary

Are you sure that you have the iCloud control panel downloaded and installed?
You should also check the iCloud add in. Click the File menu. Then click Options in the left panel of the Outlook window. Click Add-Ins in the left panel of the Outlook Options window. Look at the list of add-ins beneath "Active Application Add-Ins" make sure "iTunes Outlook add-in" and "iCloud Outlook Add-in" are selected.
To add enable the add-ins, in the Manage box at the bottom of the Outlook Options window, select COM Add-Ins, and then click Go. In the COM Add-Ins dialog, navigate to the iCloud add in and and you should be able to enable them.

  • My iphone is not syncing with iCloud

Hi, i have just noticed (it may have been going on for a few weeks) that my iPhone 4 (IOS6) will not sync with icloud.  This has not been a problem in the past.  If I put a new event on the phone, it is not shown on icloud and vice-versa.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks

Try Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > [scroll down to the Contacts area] > Default Account.
    Is this set to "iCloud"?
Do you have such a setting (Default Account)?  Frankly, I don't ... all my contacts have been in iCloud (only) for years.  But I'm thinking you do have this setting based on this article:

  • Contacts on iPhone do not sync to iCloud

I use Outlook on Windows7 and iPhone 4 to sync thru iCloud. Calendar, Photostream and Contacts sync successfully, but Contacts sync only for the first time. Added contacts or edited contacts do not sync between iPhone and iCloud, but they sync between Outlook and iCloud. I just realized now that the "working" circulating icon appears all the time when I open Contacts and it never disappear, so it is trying to do something but never synced to iCloud. What would be the problem?

    Here's how I fixed it:
When you're in contacts on ipad or iphone, touch "groups" on upper left. I was making all changes on my ipad/iphone when I had the group "all contacts" chosen. Choose "all icloud" group and leave it there and when you add or make changes, it will sync to icloud. All my contacts were on my google account, but not in icloud so I used the following instructions to sync my google contacts to icloud. It worked perfectly. Now I leave my ipad/iphone group set to "all icloud" and it's all syncing to icloud between the ipad2/iphone 4s and imac.
Thought I'd share how I did this since I'm new to iPhones, iCloud.
I found other tutorials that involved iTunes and such but I didn't want the hassle.
Requirements are Gmail Account and a valid iCloud account (Apple ID)
    1. Go to your Google Contacts
    2. Click the More menu > Export
    3. Choose the group or all of your contacts you wish to export, whichever you prefer.
    4. Choose vCard format and click the Export button.
    5. You will now have a contacts.vcf which has been downloaded to your computer. Put it on your desktop if you prefer.
    6. Rename contacts.vcf to yournamehere.vcf (example: stephan.vcf)
    7. Log in to iCloud. www.icloud.com
    8. Click Contacts
Important Note: Make sure there are no contacts listed here before importing or this may not work. The page needs to be blank.
    9. Drag the .vcf file into the window under All Contacts.
The page will highlight with a blue rectangle when you drag the .vcf onto it. Wait a little bit. (It took about 8 seconds for mine to import. I only have 136 contacts though.)
On your iPhone, go to Settings > iCloud and make sure Contacts is listed as ON.

  • IPhone Calendar not syncing correctly with iCal since Lion-install

Since installing Lion, the calendar on my iPhone is not syncing correctly:
Events created on my iPhone don't show on my Mac
Events edited on my iPhone don't change on my Mac
Events that I created in iCal on my Mac, for test-purposes, and then deleted immediately, show up on the iPhone when syncing.
    Syncing through iTunes (not MobileMe).
Using WeekCal on my iPone, but it seems that the same is the case with the "original" calendar-app.
No similar experience prior to Lion-install.
iPhone is iOS 4.3.4 -up to date
Any ideas? Does anybody know how to reset the sync, for instance?

Hi, my name is Lucas, i'm an Apple Certified Technitian.
Last couple of weeks i've installed OSX Lion in a few Macs.
But one of them drove me crazy!
I have a Late 2007 White Macbook and i installed OSX Lion last week. I also have an iPhone 4 (Factory Unlocked) that i also updated to IOS 4.3.5 ... no problems syncing between them
Then i did the same with a 13'' Unibody MacBook Pro and an iPhone 4 (not unlocked)... no problems neither
Yesterday i installed Lion on a Mid2010 15" MacBook Pro and updated another iPhone 4 (Factory Unlocked) to IOS 4.3.5 and when i tried to sync the iphone with iTunes 10.4 nothing happened.
I mean, nothing.. the iTunes started syncing and when it gets to sync the calendars it stayied there forever.
I left it for hours and nothing.
As i said i'm an ACT so i tried everything.
1- Remove Calendars from iPhone and syncing again
    1- Repair Permittions
    2- Reinstall iTunes
3- Reset iTunes and iCal Preferences and Caches
4- Backup iCal - erase ical content and generate a new iCal database
5- Reset Syncing Prefs and logs
6- Use DiskWarrior from an external OSX
    7- Reset PRAM
    Nothing worked.
I thought it could be some conflict with Microsoft Outlook and/or Exchange server since this Mac is the only one of the three macs i installed that uses Outlook Sync and Exchange server and it's the only one that gave me trouble.
But disableing it didn't worked neither.
    THE SOLUTION
I Already solved this thing out. But i still don't understand the logic of all this... anyway, what y did is this:
1- turn off microsoft outlook sync with iCal (from outlook preferences)
2- Backed up iCals (Just in case)
3- Create a new Calendar Category (by default you have Work and Home... i created one called Test)
4- i Created a new task at that calendar
5- In iTunes uncheck the "Sync iCal" box and sync the iPhone
6- Check th "Sync iCal" box, then check the "sync the selected calendars" box
7- Check the "Test" calendar and sync the iPhone.
This worked so i started creating task in this Test Calendar both in iphone and mac, just to test it, Worked fine.
Then i selected all the other calendars (Home - Work - etc) and i turned on the outlook sync
Then i synced the iPhone and Voilà everything is working again.
Now i can create task in outlook calendar and when y sync the iphone it appears on it.
I don't know what the problem is... but this looks like the solution
    HOpe it works for you!

  • IPhone 5 calendar not syncing with iCloud

When I look for Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars>Default Calendar I do not have a "Default Calendar" option.
I have also noticed the iPhone calendar only has one of my four calendars on my iCloud account and will not let me add the others.
It is not even receiving pushed alerts as it did a few months ago.
Having no problems with iPad -- just iPhone 5.

    Hello, John!
I see that you are not having and issue with the syncing between your computer and iCloud.  So we would need to look into the device settings to make sure all settings mirror what is set in the iCloud Control Panel.  I have included a couple articles that will assist you in troubleshooting your iPhone 5.  See the sections in the articles below referring to your iOS devices.

  • Macbook pro calendar not syncing (via iCloud) with iPhone 4s

After looking through a few discussions I see some users having issues in syncing their calendars (from their computer) on to their iphone.
I recently upgraded to Mountain Lion and this seems to be the key issue.
I was showed from an Apple genius that when syncing via icloud (and to avoid duplicate calendar entries) is to uncheck sync, contacts and calendars.
Which I have and I do have icloud "ON" in my phone. But whenever I update my calendar entries on my Apple laptop it no longer syncs to the iphone.
Would anyone have any leads as to why it's no longer syncing? I'm pretty good at troubleshooting but I'm at a loss with this one.
    thanks in advance    Aimee

  • Calendar entries made on Iphone do not sync to Icloud

Why do my appointment entries made in Icloud calendar sync to phone but, appointment entries made on phone do not sync to I coud calendar.

    Hello, benji0023.
Thank you for visiting Apple Support Communities.
This sounds like you may have another over the air account similar to iCloud enabled on your device.  Most mail hosts, like Gmail and Yahoo, offer a similar feature to iCloud.  You can check to see if one is enabled by going to Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars and go through each mail account on the device for the calendar setting set to on.  If you turn off these features you may remove some calendar entries as it sounds like they may be set to default.  You can also change the default calendar under Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars to iCloud.

  • Why after IOS6 Ipad calendar not syncing with Icloud?

After I upgrade Iphone and Ipad to IOS6, my Ipad calendar doesn't sync with ICloud using exactly same Apple ID. Any sugestions?

    1. Fire up your Mac and connect the iPad.
    2. Open iTunes and confirm that you are NOT syncing via the cable. Change settings as appropriate. When finished, disconnect the iPad and power it down.
    3. Open iCal on the Mac and confirm that the events are correct. Add/delete events as appropriate. Quit from iCal.
    4. Open System Preferences > MobileMe > Sync
    5. Click on "Advanced" and then click on your Mac when it shows up.
    6. Click on "Reset Sync Data"
    7. At the top, Replace: Calendars
    8. Click the right-pointing arrow so that the complete text states: "Replace Calendars on MobileMe with sync info from this computer."
    9. Click "Replace"
    10. You've confirmed that your Mac and MobileMe are set up properly. Now the iPad. Fire up the iPad and go to Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars.
    11. REMOVE Calendar syncing from the account that's identified by your email address.
    12. Follow the instructions below.

  • IPhone calendar not syncing to iCal or MobileMe

Using Lion and the latest software version on my iPhone:  syncing iCal to MobileMe works in either direction. However, when a calendar event is typed on my iPhone it does not sync to anything on my iMac.  Does anyone know of a solution?

    FOUND THE ISSUE.
Check to see if your Gmail (or mail) is connected to your calendar. If it is, turn it off.
When using Siri, she was scheduling to my Gmail Calendar (which is also where the rest of my meetings were scheduled) That calendar would not sync with iCal on my computer.
So, on your iphone go to Settings>Mail, Contact, Calendars
Look under ACCOUNTS. There should be an iCloud account and your Mail account (Gmail, Yahoo etc)
Click on the mail account and look at the calendars. If they are ON, click them OFF.
Now if you go back to iCal on your phone, you will only see iCloud calendars listed under Calendars. So from now on, when you make a meeting with Siri, she will schedule it and it will appear moments later in iCal on your Computer.
    FINALLY!

  • IPhone calendar not syn in icloud

When I input new event from my iphone and ipad, the new event don't syn to iCloud!!!

First check that all your settings are correct, that calendar syncing is checked on all devices (system preferences > iCloud on a mac and settings > iCloud on a iPhone, iPad or iPod).
Make sure the calendars you are using are in your 'iCloud' account and not an 'On My Mac', 'On My Phone' or other non iCloud account (you can do this by clicking/tapping the calendar button in the top left corner of the application ), non iCloud calendars will not sync.
If you are sure that everything is set up correctly and your calendars are in the iCloud account, you might try unchecking calendar syncing in the iCloud settings, restarting your device and then re-enabling calendar syncing settings.

  • OSX Calendar NOT Syncing with iCloud BUT iOS Devices DO

    So to set the scene....
I have an early 2009 iMac running Mountain Lion.
    I have 2 x iPhone 4's running iOS 5.1.1.
    I have 1 x iPad (1st Gen) running iOS 5.1.1
I use to keep mail, contacts and calendar in sync between all the devices using MS Exchange. I recently switched this to iCloud.
All the Calendars I have are all iCloud (so NO local calendars).
    Mail syncs without any issue.
    Contact syncs without any issue.
Calendar syncs have an issue with iMac syncing to iCloud.
To be clear...the following Calendar syncs DO work:
    iPhone #1 --> iCloud
    iPhone #2 --> iCloud
    iPad --> iCloud
    iCloud --> iPhone #1
    iCloud --> iPhone #2
    iCloud --> iPad
    iCloud --> iMac
Whereas the following Calendar sync DOESN'T work:
    iMac-->iCloud
What's even stranger is that if I...
Switch off Calendar & Reminder syncing on my iMac (System Preferences)
    Close calendar
    Wait 5 minutes
Switch back on Calendar & Reminder syncing on my iMac (System Preferences)
    Open calendar
...then the iMac-->iCloud syncing WILL work for a few hours. After a few hours it will stop syncing.
Thanks for reading. Does anyone have any ideas as to how I might solve this problem?
    Thanks in advance.
    Ben

Since this post has had no replies, thought I'd comment to see if anyone can answer the above question.  I have the same problem with one exception.  The part that is not syncing is from iCloud to my iMac.  All other sync paths work between my iphone, ipad, and iMac.  If anyone has a fix for this, please share.
