Iphone camera broken
I seem to have a slight problem with my iphone camera...
when i open the camera app, the shutter opens but i can only see a black screen but with all the camera options at the bottom still. When i try to take a photo without flash it just saves a black screen but when i try to take a photo with the flash on the shutter closes as if it's about to save the photo but no photo is saved and the shutter will remain closed until i close the app and then re-open it.
haven't dropped my phone or gotten it wet (i think) and i've had my phone for under a year now. Is there any way to fix this broken camera?

wipe your iphone clean after you backup your data and reinstall the iosx software using itunes and make sure it is recent so that when you startup the next time there should be fewer errors. Reply if you shall need any help.

If you don't have a backup then the only possible solution is to go back to the store and see if they can get your old phone and create a backup of that. I know very often that Apple employees will wipe the returned iPhones clean before shipping them back to wherever they ship them.
When you say your old phone was "broken" does this mean it is dead and won't turn on?
Do you have a Time Machine backup of your computer, or a clone that might have this info on it?
Other than that I hate to say you may be out of luck. Time Machine and/or a cloning program performed regularily will inevitably save your a** in situations like this.

After doing so, you can then sync the photos over to your iPad:

As long as they are already ticked in your iTunes then yes. Just to check do a sync and as long as everything stays the same you are good to go.

Why is my iPhone Camera Roll using 10.0 GB but my Photo Library only using 6.3 GB?
When I look at usage in my iPhone, Camera Roll is using 10.0 GB, but Photo Library is only using 6.3 GB. I do not have Photo Stream enabled. Why the difference?
In my case, Camera Roll is just the pictures taken on my phone and the remainder of the photos on my phone were synced from my computer via iTunes and are under "Photo Library". If you go to Photos and then tap Albums at the bottom right, it will show which pictures are in the Camera Roll. My Camera Roll usage is much smaller than Photo Library as I only have 2 pictures there since I regularly import them to my computer where I have more control and extra backup capability. I then sync back some that I want to also have on the phone.

Iphone camera not recognized in Windows 7

I am having a problem with the iPhone camera on the iPhone 3g 3.0. I cannot get it to allow me to open up the camera to get the pictures off of it. When I go to Devices and Printers it shows the Apple Mobile Device USB driver and that is installed fine and it works in ITunes, however, it also shows the iPhone but with the yellow triangle and exclamation point. It says that the driver is not installed properly. The status is needs troubleshooting. When I go to properties, it says "The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28)". I have tried reinstalling iTunes, unplugging, replugging the iPhone. I have tried a different iPhone (a 3GS with version 3.1.2) with the same results(they both work fine in XP).
I have been trying to get this working for a few hours and have no idea what is wrong. Are there any other drivers I can get? How about reinstalling the usb drivers? This is on an Acer netbook, and it was working with Windows 7 starter, but when I upgraded to Windows 7 Ultimate, it stopped working. I assume it is a driver issue, but I don't know what other drivers I can use or which ones to change out. Other USB cameras are working fine.
Please let me know if you need any other information.
Thank you for any help you can provide.Windows sometimes won't detect the phone and allow camera/scanner access if there are pics on the iphone not taken by the iphone camera. Email any non camera taken pics to yourself, download them on your computer, then delete the pics from the iphone. When you reconnect your computer it should start the camera/scanner download as usuall.

my iphone came up with that timing circle and just turned off and did not come back on ? even when i charge it now it still wont turn on ,do you know the problem?
If the battery was empty (and it may then take 10 to 15 minutes of charging before it will respond), then have you tried a reset ? Press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds, after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the equivalent of a reboot.

Is the only way to zoom on iphone camera to pinch and spread the screen?
Hi there - was at a concert and was impossible to zoom the camera in on the stage using the whole finger spread action (as kept getting knocked etc) - is there a manual way (using buttons to do this) or am I stuck with this modern but not always pracitical method...or does anyone else have any tips for taking good photos at a concert using the iphone camera?

I have tried everything from uninstalling-reinstalling, disabling-enabling, and updating. Still no iphone icon showing in my computer desktop. How to delete iPhone camera roll's photos in new version Photos for Mac
Hi,
Before upgrade to new version Photos for Mac. I was using iPhoto + Photo Stream to manage all the photos took from my iPhone.
Photo Stream will upload all new photos to iPhoto; when I connect iPhone to my mac, I can use iPhoto to delete my iPhone's camera roll's photos to clear the storage space.
After I upgraded to Photos; the Photo Stream still running well, all new photos also upload to Photos' library, however, when I connect iPhone to my mac.
Photos doesn't offer me any method to delete my iPhone camera roll's photos.
What I can find is "Import Selected" or "Import All" and "Delete items after import" these functions are doesn't help.
Because, all the photos are already imported by Photo Stream, when I click "Import All", all the imported photos will "RE-IMPORT" again and the photos will duplicate in my library.
This is also a BUGS in Photos because in old version iPhoto when I import a photo which has already imported before, the software will pop-up a Dialogue Box to ask me options to choose between "Skip" or "Overwrite" or "Duplicate".
Do anyone know how to delete the iPhone camera roll's photos by using new version Photos?

My iPhone camera will not open up. When I press on the icon it open and closes quickly. When I open it from my home screen it reboots my phone. What should I do?
Tried that and it still isn't working. Not sure if it's software thing but I just noticed when I swipe up my control center the flashlight option is not available as well. I'm not sure why this is. I have a 5s with the newest software. That's for the suggestion

There is no way to trace the source of a saved photo.
You might have some luck if you search through the Safari web site history available via the Bookmark icon.
