IPhone camera roll to photo stream issue.

I have just taken a number of photos on my iPhone. They are in my camera roll but have not moved to my photo stream, so they won't sync with iPhoto. As far as I am aware everything is set up to sync and I have successfully synced multiple photos before.

This is a common problem with iOS devices & iCloud.
There have been issues with syncing from day one, and Apple still has not got it right.
Why not add a force sync/send to cloud function? That would be a simple solution.
But if Apple added that simple solution, they would in fact be admitting that there's a problem with sync.
Apple does not like to acknowledge problems.
So we are left on our own to come up with a workaround. Here's mine.
Within the Photo app create a new photo stream on iCloud, and set it so you are the only subscriber.
Then when you take a picture you wish to sync across all your iOS devices, simply select it and "share" it with the stream you created.

  • Iphone camera roll to photo stream

I have an iphone 4s and recently upgraded software to ios7. I have noticed that sometimes( but not always) when I take a photo it appears ok in the camera roll but not in photostream( photostream is not full and only contains 115 photos). Is there a way to force photos from camera roll into the photostream because if they dont go into photostream they dont go into icloud and dont appear on my Mac. Thanks folks

You can delete them from your phone by opening the album that contains them, tap Edit, tap the photos you want to delete, the tap Delete.  You can also import camera roll photos to your computer and delete them after importing as explained in this article: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083.

  • How can I put my icloud photos to camera roll or photo stream?

I got a nee iphone, i backed up everything and restored it into mu new iphone, but the pictures didn't restore so i did it manually but now on my phone i got different albums icloud photo stream and camera roll. How can i put the icloud picture into camera roll or photo stream. Any ideas?? On my old iphone ive deleted everything.

    Hello Ozzie94,
Thanks for the additional information. The camera roll is designed for photos taken on your device, or saved images from Mail and other applications. Photos synced from a computer are organized into their own album(s):
View photos and videos - iPhone
    http://help.apple.com/iphone/7/#/iph3d267610
    - Camera Roll—photos and videos you took on iPhone, or saved from an email, text message, webpage, or screenshot
    - Shared photos and videos—Photos and videos that you’ve shared with iCloud Photo Sharing or that others have shared with you (see iCloud Photo Sharing)
    - Photos and videos synced from your computer (see Sync with iTunes)

  • How to delete iPhone camera roll's photos in new version Photos for Mac

    Hi,
Before upgrade to new version Photos for Mac. I was using iPhoto + Photo Stream to manage all the photos took from my iPhone.
Photo Stream will upload all new photos to iPhoto; when I connect iPhone to my mac, I can use iPhoto to delete my iPhone's camera roll's photos to clear the storage space.
After I upgraded to Photos; the Photo Stream still running well, all new photos also upload to Photos' library, however, when I connect iPhone to my mac.
Photos doesn't offer me any method to delete my iPhone camera roll's photos.
What I can find is "Import Selected" or "Import All" and "Delete items after import" these functions are doesn't help.
Because, all the photos are already imported by Photo Stream, when I click "Import All", all the imported photos will "RE-IMPORT" again and the photos will duplicate in my library.
This is also a BUGS in Photos because in old version iPhoto when I import a photo which has already imported before, the software will pop-up a Dialogue Box to ask me options to choose between "Skip" or "Overwrite" or "Duplicate".
Do anyone know how to delete the iPhone camera roll's photos by using new version Photos?
    Thank you very much.

  • I upgraded to IOS8 and my camera roll and photo stream are gone

I upgraded to IOS8 and my camera roll and photo stream disappeared. I have 7500 pictures in my camera roll... I see some of them sorted into "collections"... this is not how I would ever sort or collect my photos.. work documents, mixed with family photos, mixed with selfies my son took with the dog? please please please tell me there is a way to get my old camera roll back. This update is a disaster for iPhone photo users... Is photo stream gone as well?

This has been asked and answered DOZENS of times on here since last week.  Please search the forum and you will definitely find your answer.

  • How do I copy photo from camera roll to photo stream?

I've install IOS 5 and set up iCloud.  I now have a Photo Stream album on the phone.  How do I copy a photo from Camera Roll to Photo Stream album?

I copied some photos to the Photo Stream / Uploads folder on my PC and they did go to my iPhone.  However, they also came back to the Photo Stream / My Photo Stream folder.  So now I have two copies of the photos.  Do I have to keep two copies of each photo on every device?  That doesn't seem too smart.
I was also trying to copy a photo into the Photo Stream album on the iPhone and, somehow, that photo did get back to my PC.  However, I have no idea how it happened?  Any help there, Apple?

  • What happened to camera roll and photo stream with newest IOS upgrade?

I have upgraded my iPad 3 to the newest IOS release, but not my iPhone so far.  I noticed that Camera Roll and Photo Stream are still available on my iPhone but not on the iPad.  What happened?

the he firet versions of iOS 8 replaced the PhotoStream and Camera Roll albums with the Recently Added album. The Recently Added album contains photos for thirty days then moves them to the Photo Collections area. This definitely caught many people by surprise. Apple announced on October 16th that the next update of iOS 8 which will be 8.1 will bring back the Camera Roll. 8.1 is scheduled to be available October 20 according to Apple.

  • Pictures not always uploaded from Camera Roll to Photo Stream

    Hi all,
I am experiencing a "not so constant" behavior of Photo Stream.
I noticed that sometimes not all the photos taken with the IPhone are uploaded to Photo Stream. Given that this upload may be poosible only if the iPhone is connected to a Wi-Fi network, is there a way to force the synch between Camera Roll and Photo Stream?
    Thanks.

Well, last night I tried to:
disable Photo Stream in iCloud settings on the iPhone
"delete" the whole iCoud account on the iPhone and then log in again
reset Photo Stream in the advanced options of my account on icloud.com
This caused all the pictures of the iPhone Photo Stream gallery and on iCloud.com to be deleted, so I restarted from a clean condition. Then I took three photos, but only the second and the third were uploaded to Photo Stream on iCloud, to the Photo Stream gallery of the iPhone and subsequently downloaded to the Photo Stream folder of my PC.
    Still puzzled...

  • How do photos end up in my Camera Roll and Photo Stream from a back-up wirelessly?

How do photos end up in my Camera Roll and Photo Stream from a back-up wirelessly?

Photos taken with your iPhone go into Camera Roll and added to Photo Stream.
After 30 days, photos will be removed from Photo Stream. They will say in Camera Roll.
You should download Photo Stream photos to your computer regularly so you have them.

  • How do I transfer photos from 'camera roll' to 'photo stream' so that they sync w/ my PC?

I want to take pics w/ the phone and then view them on my PC. I can't seem to get the photos and video to move from 'camera roll' to 'photo stream' so that I can work with them on my PC. I can move pics on my PC into the photostream upload folder and those appear quicklly on my phone in the photo stream album.

How do you do that? I've tried through iPhoto and iTunes and in neither case are the images/videos from the Camera Roll accessable. Images from Photo Stream are, but not Camera Roll. And since images/videos saved from Messages end up in Camera Roll, I can't figure out how to get them either into Photo Stream or transfered to my computer.

My phone recently fell In water and won't turn on I had my ICloud on.Will my pictures in came roll and photo stream come back?

Photos in the camera roll are included in your backup and should be recovered by restoring the backup to a replacement phone.  Photo stream photos remain in iCloud for 30 days.  When you reconnect to photo stream you will get back any photo stream photos from the last 30 days.

Can't find my camera roll (only photo stream) pictures in iCloud.  Should there be an icon there?  Do I need to install another icon?

I'm not totally sure I understand what you are asking or expecting to see.
You will only find your Photo Stream photos in iCloud, not the camera roll photos. What I mean is that any older photos that you have in the camera roll will not appear in the photo stream. Only photos that you have taken with the iPad, after you turned photo stream on, appear in the photo stream.
You can create a shared photo stream album with older camera roll photos, but the camera roll itself is not in iCloud.com.
Where are you looking in iCloud to see these photos?
