IPhone can AirPrint but iPad can't
I have a Brother HL-5450DN printer. I am able to AirPrint from my iPhone 5, but my IPad 2 can not find the printer. After looking through forums, I have tried resetting printer, resetting the networks on the iPad, also changing the http proxy to auto on the iPad. None of these were successful. Any help would be appreciated.
Make sure both iOS devices have the same iOS version installed. Then go your WiFi settings on your iPhone and see how they are set there, open the WiFi settings on your iPad and make changes so both iPhone and iPad have the same settings. Then search on both for your printer and start a test print. If still only the iPhone prints you have to remover what you did to be able to print from your iPhone and repeat that for your iPad.

I have an iphone 5 and ipad. I paid for icloud. I "think" iphone is okay but ipad keep saying can't verify account. I can't change that. I have been sent to the page on apple about setting up icloud but that doesn't help. There is no place for me to fix my account or change anything. Anyone know what to do? This feature has been introduced to make stolen phones useless to those that have stolen them.
However it can also arise when the user has changed their Apple ID details with Apple and not made the same changes to their iCloud account/Find My Phone on their device before upgrading to iOS 7.
The only solution is to change your Apple ID back to its previous state with Apple at My Apple ID verify the changes, enter the password as requested on your device and then turn off "find my phone".
You should then change your Apple ID back to its current state, verify it once again, delete the iCloud account from your device and then log back in using your current Apple ID. Finally, turn "find my phone" back on once again. -
How can I transfer photos from an IPhone 5 to an IPad 2 using a cable. I have tried using the lightning to firewire adapter with my current lead but this only seems to allow a download from the IPad to the IPhone and not the other way around.
The devices are not designed for transfer of that kind. Use Photo Stream as suggested by another poster, or transfer photos to your computer (a good idea anyway since they will be lost if your device needs to be reset), then use iTunes to sync them to the other devices.

Hi chaps. FaceTime question. I can FaceTime by phoning my iPhone 4 from my iPad 2 but cannot phone my iPad from the iPhone. When facetimeing from phone to iPad the phone says it's busy. The iPad rings once and then stops. Any ideas. Regards Jon

My self and my wife each have a phone on the same vodafone account, i have an iphone 5 with an apple id also ana ipad on the same apple id. My wifes phone is a samsung, but if i buy here an iphone can i attached it to the same apple id.
Yes and No. yes for sharing music and apps. No for icloud/facetime/imessage - she should get her own id for that.

I have just recently installed ios6 to my iPad 3 an iPhone 4 my iPhone works fine but my iPad is not working at all I can not get a response from it, it seemed to download an then install but did not reset and turn on and will not turn on HELP!! Withdrawal or what!! Lol

Firstly, try a hard reset. Hold the sleep/wake and home buttons together until the Apple logo appears.
If this doesn't work, try restoring your device. Put it in recovery mode if iTunes doesn't recognise it, and restore it from there. I have linked to instructions below.

I keep getting an error pop-up when I try to access my email. The pop-up says Cannot Get Mail The connection to the server failed. I get this pop-up on both my iPhone 5 and my iPad. I can still access my email, but the pop-up is real annoying. Can someone please help me with this? -Stu

It sounds like you're seeing an alert message when opening Mail on your iOS devices. Do you have multiple email accounts setup on the devices? Why can I print from my iPhone and not my iPad? I have been able to do it in the past. I have tried a hard reset but it still cannot find the printer.
In addition to rebooting the router and the iPad, I would reset the printer as well. Unplug the printer from power and do the same with the router. Leave the router unplugged for about 30 seconds. Plug the router in first and let it totally start up, plug the printer in again, and then reboot/reset the iPad.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.
If that doesn't work, you can try resetting all settings. Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings. You will have to enter all of your device settings again.... All of the settings in the settings app will have to be re-entered. Your WiFi passwords, location services, device preferences all have to be re-entered. You will not lose any data or media whatsoever. -
I deleted my duplicate contacts one by one on my iPad but have lost over 600 contacts on my iPad they are all on my iPhone but when I sync my iCloud I only have 200 contact on my iPad but have all 820 on my iPhone can any one help
Welcome to the Apple Community.
First check that all your settings are correct, that contact syncing is checked on all devices (system preferences > iCloud on a mac and settings > iCloud on a iPhone, iPad or iPod).
Make sure the contacts you are adding are added to your 'iCloud' group and not an 'On My Mac', 'On My Phone' or other non iCloud group (you can do this by checking in groups), non iCloud contacts will not sync.
If you are sure that everything is set up correctly and your contacts are in the iCloud group, you might try unchecking contact syncing in the iCloud settings, restarting your device and then re-enabling contact syncing. -
On my iPad, I was receiving iMessages and had the history of all message that were on my iPhone showing up but I just did a restore and I'm not receiving them. I can send, though. Any ideas?
is there any important stuff saved to your emails? if so you could log on to your emails from a seperate device and back them up. im not sure what else you could do :/

Can I back up my iPhone 4S to my ipad 3 (64 gb)? I do not have a computer running Mountain Lion. Our desktop still runs Tiger, so I purchased the 3rd generation iPad with 64 gb thinking it had had plenty of room to backup my iPhone photos. I used a camera connection kit and transferred about 1100 old photos from my camera roll on my iPhone to my ipad. I then deleted pictures from my iPhone and now my camera roll has only 357 photos. However, in the Settings, under "About" it says I have 2147 photos. Why? I only have a total of 216 photos in all my albums. However, now I don't have enough space in iCloud to backup either device. Why not? Any help, any advice, appreciated please! I spent a long time on the phone with Apple today and they couldn't solve the problem.

iCloud only give so much space for free storage, then if you exceed the limit of 5gb you have to pay for additional storage. -
i want my music from my iphone on to my ipad mini and it will download but i wont show up in the music app

I have wi-fi bridge between two routers TP-LINK WR841ND.
The name of this technology - WDS.
HP Laser JET 1536 dnf MFP connect to one of this routers (copper).
Second device (my NETBOOK) connect to second router (WiFi).
I have good communication between NETBOOK and HP Laser JET 1536 dnf MFP via WiFI-bridge.
In usual case NETBOOK can find (and can Ping) network printer and make a print some files.
But my Ipad or Iphone can't find HP Laser JET 1536 dnf MFP (using Eprint). Ipad and iphone connect
to router across WiFi.
Please, help!Are you using the ePrint Mobile App, the ePrint Printer Control App, or just trying to send an email to the printer's ePrint email address?

No, but you do not need iTunes to setup a new iPhone 5s. Create an iCloud backup for anything you want to transfer to the new iPhone.
