IPhone: Cant see photos sent via text message

I cannot see text photos then by other people to me on my iPhone 5 on iOS 6. I'll still have trouble getting messages from from other phone users not on iOS six regular text.

You need a valid Apple ID to use iMessage on iPad, iPod touch, and Messages for Mac. You need a valid phone number or Apple ID to use iMessage on iPhone.
How do I enable SMS/MMS for use with Messages?
SMS and MMS messaging requires an appropriate plan from your carrier for use on iPhone. Contact your carrierfor more information.
How do I enable iMessage for use with Messages?
You can enable iMessage in multiple ways, depending on your device:
iPhone: Turn Messages on in Settings > Messages. Messages will begin registration with your carrier-assigned cellular telephone number. Sign in with your Apple ID to also use your e-mail with Messages.
iPad and iPod touch: Navigate to Settings > Messages. Sign in with your Apple ID.
Follow these steps if you are experiencing difficulty activating your telephone number or Apple ID with iMessage.

Thank you for posting in the Apple Support Communities. I would be concerned as well if I wasn't able to view the images that were sent to me in Messages. I found some steps that might help with this:
If you still can't send or receive MMS messages
To send and receive MMS messages on your iPhone, verify that your wireless carrier supports MMS2.
Ensure that MMS Messaging is turned on in Settings > Messages.
Verify that your phone is able to access cellular data.
Some carriers allow you to edit your APN (Access Point Name), which may prevent MMS from working.
If you are roaming outside your calling area, make sure you have Data Roaming turned on in Settings > General > Cellular to send or receive MMS content.
While on a phone call, you will be unable to send or receive MMS messages when using an EDGE, GPRS, or any CDMA cellular data network. After the phone call ends, you will receive any incoming messages. If you tried to send an MMS message, you may need to send it again.
If the issue persists and your wireless carrier has confirmed that your wireless account is provisioned2 for MMS, restore the iPhone.

Photos sent via a message within the camera are not being sent

I took 3 pictures today with the iPhone camera. I looked at the photo and used the send via a message step in the camera. When you have the photo open, you can click on the icon on the bottom left and it lets you select the photo. when you click next and then choose message and next, it opens a message window to type the message. when I am done and click send, and then done, it closes that message window and goes back to the camera, ready to take a new picture. But the message never shows in my messages for the person I address it to, and they never get it. Any idea if I am missing something?

Updated to iOS 5 and now photos sent with text message show as sent, but are not received to an iPhone that has not been updated.

Updated to iOS 5 and tried sending a message with a phot to an iPhone that has not been updated. My message shows as sent, but neither the text or photo are received. Text alone works fine.

This is being caused by using the same Apple ID for iMessage. To fix this you have two choices:
On all but one of the phones go to Settings>Messages>Send & Receive, tap the ID, sign out, then sign back in with a different ID. Note: you can still share the same ID for purchasing in Settings>iTunes & App Stores; or
On all of the phones go to Settings>Messages>Send & Receive and uncheck the email address(es) shown under "You can be reached by iMessage at".

IPhone 4 says it sent a text message, but it turns out it never sent the message?

So sometimes when I'm texting someone, my phone isn't sending the messages. It's not like it telld me mesage not sent, it says it sent it, then no one ever responds. And about 5 hours later when someone questions me on it, it turns out they never got the message? i feel like no one else is having this problem and it gets very annoying because i never know if my phone is sending a message or not because it tells me it does. This is a problem either with your carrier or theirs (or the interconnect between the 2). If the iPhone can't successfully send the message, you will be notified. Once it gets from the phone to the cell tower, it's in the carrier's hands.
Call your carrier and/or have them call theirs.

5530 - Can I see who sent the text message that is...

When I receive a text it tells me I have a message waiting. Is there anyway the 5530 can tell me who the sender of the message is?

Commonly you probably have 2 of every contact so the mobile doesn't know which to display - check your contacts.
Most commonly this is because contacts are on your sim and phone the best way to solve this problem
go into;
Contacts->Options->Settings->Conctacs to Display
then chose phone memory only
Note you may want to copy all the contacts from sim to phone first to make sure you have all your contacts

How do i get photos sent via email into the new photos app in yosemite 10.10.3

Using mail on my mac, having upgraded to Yosemite 10.10.3 i now cant import photos sent via email into the new photos app. if i highlight the photo in mail and right click the mouse the option is still to export to iPhoto !!

I was clicking on the photo, so thanks for telling me about the save icon - unfortunately this still tries to open up and save to iPhoto the same as clicking on the image but my photos have been moved from iPhoto to the new photos app as part of the update to 10.10.3 Yosemite. Although it also gives me the option to save other places i cant work out how to save into the photo app

Are you provisioned by your phone carrier to use MMS? Do you have MMS turned on in settings?

How can I save to my pc some photos that I received on my iPhone 5 via text message from my granddaughter?

My granddaughter sent a text message to my iPhone 5 (IOS 8.1), and included some photos from a soccer tourney. I saved the photos to the iPhone, and they show up on the iPhone in the camera roll. I'd like to transfer some of them to my Windows7 PC, but can't figure it out. When I open Windows Explorer, many photos from my iPhone show, but not the ones from Elizabeth. Can anyone help me?

You can download iCloud for Windows program and turn on Photo Stream in your iPhone (Settings > iCloud > Photos, then turn on My Photo Stream)
Now, your new photos will be downloaded to your PC as soon as they are uploaded to iCloud automatically.
Or you can download something like iExplorer for PC (any third-party app) that can browse files in iPhone. With that, you can open your photo library in iPhone and drag and drop to the Desktop the photos you need.
One more way is browsing manually folders in your iPhone in Windows Explorer and just checking every folder in DCIM. In my case, the folder with the latest images was the pre-last one. There is a chance that you just didn't see the right photo last time you were checking iPhone folders, but if you know it is in Camera Roll, then it is 100% in DCIM, so the fastest way is just checking folders one more time.

Copy that voice memo, create a new email and paste it and send it to yourself! You can save it to your computer now and send it to someone else

Pictures that are being sent to me via text messaging are stuck in "downloading" phase. I can not receive any pictures on my new iphone6. Is anyone else experencing this?

Lucky for me the first one worked--went into settings->messages and turned iMessage off, waited a few seconds, turned it back on. Images came through just fine after that. We'll see if it lasts.

Make sure the contact has a 10-digit number, not just the 7-digit number.
If that isn't it, does the problem only happen with iMessages, SMS or MMS messages?
Try tapping Settings > Messages, then turn SMS and MMS off. Test, then repeat again only leaving SMS or MMS on.

IPhone 6 Plus video quality is extremely poor when on Facetime and when sharing via text/message

I upgraded to the 6 plus from the 4S. Everyone that I facetime with and send videos to via text/message tells me how incredibly horrible the video quality is....especially in comparison to the way it was before I upgraded from the 4S to the 6Plus. These are people that I have always sent videos to and Facetimed with before, and they all say they can really tell a difference. So frustrating that my three year old iphone 4S is better than the new 6 plus 128gig that I just paid $500 for. We have little ones at home and this is one of the main things we use the phone for....to send vidoes and to Facetime with grandma and grandpa.
I'm on the same carrier (Verizon) that I have always been and have not changed anything. Is there a setting on the phone I can change that will help with this? I love the phone otherwise, but if it can't do this right, I'm going to return it and get my money back.
Can anyone help? Anyone experiencing this???
