IPhone Car connection - pairing issues
I have bought a new iPhone4s. The phone pairs ok with my Car Stereo System. It does however loose the connection everytime the radio or the car gets turned off and requires re-entering the complete pairing process (including password). Does anybody have a similar problem ? Any ideas for a solution ? (My previous iPhone 3GS and iPhone 4 were perfectly paired and kept the connection over a long time).
You don't. The iPhone has NEVER paired with computers except for the purpose of tethering.

AUDI Car Bluetooth pairing issue after 1.1.1

I've got a 2007 Audi with Bluetooth in my radio. The bluetooth was paired ok before the most recent update. Now I cannot get the bluetooth to pair again. I have tried resetting the pin code on the car, reset the car factory settings, restarted the car and iphone a number of times. When I turn BT "On" for the phone, it says searching for devices. It just spins and spins and nothing happens.
This is pretty frustrating since the first version of the iPhone was completely incompatible with Audi's bluetooth. (connection died when the phone locked) The 2nd update they seemed to have fixed the BT issue for Audi. And now with the 3rd update I can't even pair at all. ***?
Anyone else have this same issue and have any suggestions?
ThanksI have an A6 with the bluetooth feature. It worked pre and post 1.1.1 however you mentioned you turned your bluetooth back ON after the upgrade.? Maybe that created the issues. I have not changed my BT setting from when I first connect to the Audi. Now I may not ever turn off BT.

I had an old 2G iPhone which I could connect through my car stereo. This would play the tracks through my car speakers and I could control the tracks and volume through the stereo controls. This would also charge my phone at the same time. However, my new 3GS phone plays ok, but no longer charges, a message appears on the phone saying that it will not charge. Is this right, and if so, why have apple changed this feature. Am I expected to fork out for a new lead in my car?
Apple changed the pin on the dock connector that carries the power. Newer devices expect to get power from a different pin that what older cables supply it on. You will need to either get a new cord (as long as the manufacturer makes a new one) or you can get a separate attachment that connects between the cable and the device to change what pin the power is going to. My iphone 6 connects to the car via bluetooth, the music works good, but the phone calls does not work. It looks like it is working but doesn't. I have tried in my Hyundai Sonata and a Dodge Dart rent car and get the same results. I updated the last 8.0.2. It worked the first day i had the phone, and then i updated to Ios 8.0.2 and it quit working.
Now when i get in the car, it acts like it is connected and makes the same call it was on after syncing to bluetooth, but it really isn't on a call. This is happening on both cars.
Does anyone know if this is the phone and i need to take it to Apple or if there is an issue that Apple is working on getting a fix for?
My son in law has the exact same phone as me, we both got the on 10/6, he had a Dodge Dart and his is working via bluetooth.
Someone HELP please, as i consider this a safety issue by not having my calls go to bluetooth.We had the same problem, but figure out the solution.
You MUST have at least 1 song added to your ITUNE! After you add a free song, then everything else should work as normal!

When my iPhone is connected (via the Lightning cable) to the usb port in my car, the alert tones are no longer played through the car speaker or the phone. This previously worked, but has randomly stopped working. help!

Why are you posting in this forum about what occured with an independent service provider? How is is at all relevant to Apple?? In fact, service by any person or business not authorized by Apple voids any waranty. -

I just bought an iPod, and at home it fails to work and sync up on my Mac G5, OS X 10.4.11
I get the red stop sign with an exclamation point come up with this statement of error:
"iTunes could not connect to the iPhone "iPhone" because the pairing record is missing."
I had that error a number of times, rebooted the iPhone, then now I consistently get this error:
iTunes could not connect to the iPhone "iPhone" because an unknown error occurred (0xE80000001)."
Does anybody have any clue what I might do? And yes, it is iTunes 8 that I have running.Try disconnecting your phone from your computer, quit iTunes, connect you phone to your computer again, the re-launch iTunes.

After installing the 7.6.1 upgrade to my Air Port base station Time Capsule, my iPhone 4s and Lexmark printer can no longer connect via wifi. However my iPad1, MacBook Pro and Airport Express are all working fine. My iPhone will connect perfectly to WiFI at work so this excludes a problem with the phone. However at home it sees the network but after entering the password to join it attempts to connect and comes back with the following error. Ideas for resolving this dilemma are appreciated.
Located the solution on a post from December 19th 2011. It appears to be a comon problem with the Base station and iPhones. Changing my Base Station to Channel 3 resolved the problem. No additional issues created with other devices that were already connected. (Lexmark printer, iPad, laptop are all working on the wifi network) Harmony has returned to the universe...

I have an iPad which I usually connect to my iPhone 4s to use the 'personal hotspot' when I travel. I am planning to buy a bluetooth keyboard for my iPad and wondering if I will be able to connect/pair iPhone 4s and the keyboard at the same time!! Anyone??
The likely problem is your expectations you cant sync using bluetooth these are the supported profiles

TS2774 Home Wi-Fi connection/loading issues on iPhone
Our 4s and 3Gs are having issues with wi fi (cable 1 internet) in my house. It sometimes can take several minutes to load pages, sometimes will not load at all or times out all together. OS are up to date on both, and the speed test was normal on our home PC's. There is no lag on any of our 3 PC's- any idea why our iPhones are having this issue? The Wi-Fi speed on the iPhones was lickety split until about a month ago, then both phones started having issues, while my husbands HTC Vivid is also connecting fine. I have reset network settings, cleaned up un-used apps, and done everything short of a master clear/reset, which I'd like to avoid if possible. The cellular data network is working at normal speed, just not the Wi-Fi. Please help, this is really frustrating!
go to settings. on the phone. then general. then reset. reset your network settings. thats should fix that

IPhone 4S stopped pairing with my 2007 Mini Cooper 4S
I'm an IT guy of 15 years. I have been on several deployment teams for PDA, then Smart Phones. Recently my iPhone 4S stopped pairing with my 2007 Mini Cooper 4S. I went through the gauntlet trying to get this issue solved including but not limited to the following.
Trying to pair my wife's brand new iPhone 4S to the same Mini Cooper! (DID NOT WORK EITHER!)
Resetting network settings. (Did not work)
Wiping my iphone 4 and restoring it. (Did not work)
Called Apple support and they offered me a new phone. (A new phone is not going to fix the problem if my wife's brand new iPhone 4S will not pair either)
Successfully paired another phone (Droid) to my car.
My 15 inch MacBook Pro can see my iPhone 4S but my iPhone cannot see my Macbook Pro either!
There is a huge amount of complaints on the internet regarding the latest bluetooth update with IOS 5.1.1, people are having the same issue with bluetooth dropping pairing with their automobiles!
Apple let it slip on the phone that they are aware of this issue.
My phone worked fine until IOS update 5.1.1 I may try to restore back to an earlier IOS.
My phone worked for a few months with bluetooth and was a little flaky since getting the 4S it worked much much better with the iPhone 4. When I got the iPhone 4S that's when spotty issues with the bluetooth became noticible including the system dropping on calls and reverting back to the handset vs the speaker system. I had to apologize to several customers while on the phone. I thought I was doing something wrong, but realize now that this phone has issues with the bluetooth.
In closing I would like to simply say that if this iPhone 4S does have hardware problems then Apple is going to have a lot of ticked off people because it's a hardware problem with the design in general and they will have an iPhone recall or suit on their hands. Because I can assure you this is a bluetooth problem with every iPhone 4S, it's not a coincidence that my wife's iPhone 4S with the same 5.1.1 IOS will not pair with my car either. So for Apples sake I hope this iPhone bluetooth issue can be fixed with an update! Best of luck Apple. I'm not going to beat up on you guys because I am diehard Apple and I love your products, but please fix this issue. We have phone ordinance laws in various burbs in Cleveland and they will fine you for talking on your handset.Well the good news is all that fell on deaf ears we are all users here not Apple

It is not the responsibility of Apple to ensure EVERY item in the world is compatible
which is why goes to great lengths to share iOS changes and hardware with any "Developer"
that is interested Including BMW/Mini and every other Auto manufacturer
Have you called in at your Mini Dealer to check if they have a Bluetooth update
If they haven't ask why not ,technology is moving forward daily
and clearly if they do not keep up you will have problems
Expect a charge it is Apple that gives free updates to their customers
