IPhone + Case + Docking Station

Hello all-
I just read a post about someone using the iHome 2go Docking Station with their iPhone still in the case (believe the case was Revo). Does anyone know of any other docking stations that are compatable with the iPhone + its case? I'd like to have my iPhone sitting in its dock on my nightstand when I go to bed. However, I haven't been able to do this because the phone won't fit into the dock if the case is still on. Naturally, I would just take the case off, but this is tedious and tends to stretch the case out. Thanks.

I use the iHome iH6BR Clock Radio for iPod with my iPhone. It lets me charge the phone and play music through the radio's speakers while leaving the phone in its Case-Mate leather case. The iHome comes with a range of adapter inserts to fit most iPods, but I find the iPhone sits in the dock just fine without any of them. The only negative is the iPhone nags me that the iHome is "not a compatible device" when I first put it in the dock and offers to switch itself to airport mode (which I agree to). Other than that, it works just fine.

    Hi All, Wanted to share!
As some of you may know, we had a pretty scary incident recently. Attached are pictures of what remains of our 2007 Suburban. We are all okay but I wanted to warn everyone not to make the same mistake I did. This fire resulted from leaving an iPhone charger/docking station plugged into the car outlet. It overheated and started a fire, while parked in our garage. PLEASE unplug anything you have in your car outlets once you turn off your car!
We were VERY fortunate that we found the fire, at 11pm, before going to bed and before it spread to the house. None of our garage heat detectors or house fire alarms went off (another item to take care of on my “to do” list).  Feel free to pass this along to anyone you want. Better safe than sorry.

  • Allowing iphone 5 docking station to work with 30 pin accessories

I know there is a lightening cable that allows iphone 5 to use older accessories, but is there an adapter that'll allow my iPad 3 to work in my iphone 5 docking station?

  • Is there a cable to hook iPhone to docking station without taking off otterbox?

Is there a cable available to connect an iPhone in an otterbox to a docking station?

Use Do Not Disturb. You can set DND to only allow calls from people on your Favorites list, you would just need to add the work number to that list. See this support document http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5463. Not sure if it has been updated for iOS 7, but should be relevant. You can also check the User Guide for other information. http://manuals.info.apple.com/MANUALS/1000/MA1565/en_US/iphone_user_guide.pdf

  • IPhone on dock stations....

I was thinking I would be able to use my iphone just as my ipod on my Kensington docking station, but I was wrong. It will charge it but it won't allow the music to come through. Is this something I am going to have to live with or can a possible update fix this issue?
Not a real big issue, I love the phone for the most part, but if it can be addressed it would be great.

It is that the Doc is not compatible with the iphone no software update can correct that. The issue is the hardware and not the software. Iphone still does work with a lot of doc out there, and then not with others.

  • Has Apple made an iPhone 6 docking station?

I used to have a simple dock for my iPhone 4s. In the back were two ports one for the charger and the other for an aux (line out) cable. It  was perfect for my speakers. I know the ones with the lightning ports for the 5 won't fit. So have they made one for the new iPhone 6?

Click on the "Store" link at the top left of the page. If Apple makes one, it would be there.

  • IPhone 4 docking stations

Does anyone know of an inexpensive dock that will allow me to play my iPhone 4 through my Bose system? I have a Cambridge Audio iD50 dock that worked perfectly with my iPhone 3 but is incompatible with the 4. The compatible Cambridge dock is $350 and I'd prefer something cheaper.

  • Docking Station iPhone 3G

    Hi,
I am new to these forums,
I have just recently upgraded to a iPhone 3G and realized that there is no docking station included with it. I noticed that I cannot use my older iPhone 2G docking station for this phone because of the body style differences.
Do I need to buy an adapter or just purchase a new docking station?

    Hi Clinton,
There is a different dock for the iPhone 3G, its on the Apple online Store here: http://store.apple.com/us/product/MB484G/A?mco=NDY5OTYwNw
There are iPhone 3G dock adapters, but they will not allow the iPhone 3G to be used with the original iPhones dock.
Heres the link for the iPhone 3G dock adapter: http://store.apple.com/us/product/MB546G/A?mco=NDY5OTE0Mw

  • Are any iphone 5 fm radio docking stations that let you leave the protective case on phone

Are any I phone 5 fm radio docking stations available that I can leave my protective case on phone while charging

Hey braswell4AU: I have a similar issue. I purchased 2 iPhone 5's the first day they came out. Black 64gb for myself and white 32gb for my wife. She is having somewhat the same issues as you have. Wifi is weak and keeps dropping the signal, and also her phone almost never has LTE. And we are in a very strong Verizon LTE area in north Los Angeles county. My phone has never had any signal issues, wifi or LTE. I have been researching the issue to no avail. I though maybe the white with the brushed alluminum may cause signal issues, but haven't found anything on that and posts about the black one haven't problems blew that theory up.
I have also changed the SIM card and the phone itself and still the same problem. I saw a post about someone getting their phone swapped out and the apple rep told him not to restore the phone, but to just set it up as new. I have yet to try it, gonna try this weekend.. But it makes sense! I, like you have 6 apple devices (2 iPhone 5's, 2 iPhone 4's apple tv3, and the ipad3) and have no issues running all my devices via router.
So I am thinking about the history of the restores and backups and my wife is the only one that went from the 4 to the 5.. Every other device was setup as new. So my theory is that he iphone 5 has issues when you restore from previous backups.. Maybe something a little different from the backups of the previous models create issues in the iPhone 5's?
Like I said, I'm going to give it a shot this weekend and see what happens. If you get a chance to try this before, please let me know if it works and if I try before you I will update you.
Good luck and hopefully we can get these wonderful phones working like they should!

  • Iphone 4-iOS 7.0.4 doesn't work with Philips DS1150 Docking Station

    Hi all,
as said, I have an ipod touch 2nd generation and an iphone 4 already updated to iOS7.0.4
4 days ago I bought a docking station Philips DS1150 and while the ipod touch works perfectly, my iphone cames out with a popup message saying that the device is non supported.
I'm a quite confused about that, I bought that Philips because I tried it 6 months ago in an hotel room and it was simply amazing. I guess the iOS7 update messed up a little...
I've also run the reset instruction for both the dock and the iphone, I've also lost half day formatting the whole iphone as a fresh-form-factory and the message is always the same.
Any kind of help would be appreciated.
    Thanks,

I have the same problem and have since the 5.0 update.  The 5.0.1 didn't fix it nor did the itunes updates including the most recent.  Apple doesn's seem to care either as I am finding is the case with any bug they don't feel like fixing.  Sorry, so far no solution either.  I have erased erased everything and started over numerous times, still doesn't work.

  • Docking station for iphone 6 with audio out

    Hey guys,
I searched for quite some time and only found one dockingstation with an audio output, and that one was for 69$ which is too expensive in my view.
Do you know a dockingstation where I can put in my Iphone 6 with case and which has an audio output?
    Best regards,
    Ulrich

freedaze, What I want is a docking station that operates on AC power and/or batteries.
I want it to have the capability of docking the iPhone5, being able to talk on speaker phone using speakers and microphone on the docking station NOT the iPhone.
I don't care about clock or other "bells and whistles".  I'm actually surprised that it is so hard to find these features.  All the docking stations I've found use the microphone in the iPhone.  They play music through the docking speakers but don't address the speaker phone needs.  Thanks for trying though.

  • Would like dockable case - maybe with old iPod docking Station?!

So I love my iPhone. I need a case. I drop things a lot! I realized the iPhone will sync with the old 2003 iPod Docking Station, which is less tight. Maybe there is a plastic case of some sort that will fit perfectly in here? Is there a case that would protect my iPhone and allow docking into the old docking station? I can't find anything in the store that will fit into the new, tiny docking station.
    Thanks!
    Dave

I have been looking for the same thing but have not had any luck.

  • My daughters iPod touch (4th gen and 4 months old) is not recognized by iTunes (PC) or our stereo docking station, but it will charge. Other devices (iPhone and another touch) work fine on PC and stereo. What is wrong??
