Iphone changes time??

I have a iphone 3GS with 4.2.1
I have tried to find an answer online and in the forums and I can't solve this issue. I have all my timezone support setting on in iphone and on mac turned on and they have interpreted the local time correctly. When I enter an event the times show correctly in the event but are 1 hour earlier in the list or month view. I have tried turning the timezone support off and it still happens. Some of my earlier entered events show correctly in list view but bizarrely the iphone has actually made the original entry an hour later so the list view shows correctly. It is driving me mad as I don't know what is correct. I hope this makes sense to someone and I see a few similar prob with iphone 4s but no solution. I am guessing since the other major states in my country run daylight saving that is might be something to do with this but not sure since the local time showing in the setting is correct. Any help appreciated - sorry for long post!

I'm having the same issue... When I create an event on iCal, it syncs with iPhone but change the time to a several hours later (ex: thursday, 5:30pm on iPhone syncs to friday, 1:30am on iCal).
Can anybody please help dealing with this?

  • Iphone changes time in calendar sync with Mac?

    Can anyone help?
I have a 24" mac running Leopard 10.5.7 and an iPhone 3G. When I sync the two any calendar events I have on the Mac arrive on the iPhone with the time changed by 8hrs (it moves them 8 hours earlier). Does anyone know what I have to do to fix this?
I have checked the date and time settings on both and both are correct. I have also checked the time zone settings on both and both are set to London, BST.
    Thanks
    KP

    further info...
on synching I have also now noticed that the times on the Mac have also changed to 8 hours later (9am meetings are now at 5pm).
    What is happening?

  • IPhone changing times from Mac to IPhone

When I sync my iphone, the appointments that I add to the iphone are changed by one hour. Please help me so I can make it places on time.

Double check the time zone settings of your phone and of your mac. Its likely that one of the two is set wrong.
Also try toggling your Time Zone support setting.

  • Events created in icloud calendar change times on iPhone.

When I add a new event in my iCloud calendar it changes times once synced to my iphone. So if I schedule something at 9am it shows up as 10am on my iphone.

Do you need Time Zone Support enabled with Calendar events on your iPhone? Do you regularly travel between different time zones?
When on, Time Zone Support always shows event dates and times in the time zone selected for calendars.
When off, events will display according to the time zone of your current location.

  • My iPhone 5 changing times

My iPhone 5 display randomly changes time. Never by a complete hour. Sometimes by 27 minutes oy 43 minutes. Just completely random. Anyone having the same issues?

Common problem for iPhone5's on the Verizon network.  Both Apple and Verizon are aware of it.  CNET has already published an article about the issue.  Until they fix it, try turning your LTE off and leave it off.  Since making that change, neither of my two 5's have had any issues.

  • Syncing ical on macbook and iphone the times change by two hours

I set up all of the events on my macbook ical and when i sync with my iphone it changes the time by two hours on my calendar for the iphone. i have checked and both devices are accurate on the day and time. Is there something I am missing. It is a hassle having to change all of the events in my iphone each time i sync...........all help would be appreciated.

Am having exact same problem. Have checked, double-checked and re-checked all time & date settings, time zones, etc. to no avail. iCal on Mac now seems to be responding properly, but many of my events on iPhone will display correctly when opened but +2 hours on list at bottom of month view. There is no way I can figure out to edit time zone on iPhone cal event like there is on the Mac.

I have tried these following things...
    - Restored from a back up
    - Restored my phone in itunes
    - Wiped my phone completely clean and started it as a new iphone
    - Turning various data options off
    - Changing the clock from 24 hours to 12 hours (I was desprate )
Any help on this matter would be great,
I am with Orange/ EE in England.

if its telling you to plug into itunes then you have to restore it that way. do you back your phone up using itunes or i cloud. if you have a back up you are good to go. To check if you have a back up
Windows>  Go into itunes under EDIT>Preference>Devices and your back ups will be listed there
Mac>   go to itunes under Itunes>Preference>Devices and your back up will be listed there

  • Clock changes time randomly

Has any one had any issues with their clock changing time randomly on their iphone 5c? it will go up in time then back several times during the day. I am the only one in the house that this is happening to

If "Automatic Time" is turned on in Settings, the time is coming from the cell towers.  Contact the carrier to address.

  • IPhone 5 Time Zone Support Broken with iOS 8.1.2 Update

Just returned from a U.S. business trip where my work appointments (sync’d to enterprise Exchange account) were not showing up in the correct time zone. Everything was three hours off. Events entered on my iPhone were also showing up three hours off on my Outlook client.
But the biggest problem came when I returned home and the iPhone wouldn’t automatically change the time zone back. The “automatic” setting is not working, device time is still three hours slow (still set for Pacific time). The “time zone” is displaying as “New York.” Disabling automatic time zone set results in the correct date and time directly under the “time zone” set band, tapping on the band goes to the search screen that already shows “New York, U.S.A.” (general-date & time-time zone). Re-entering the correct zone (“New York”) does nothing different.
Just for fun, I tried it again with a manual set for “Phoenix, U.S.A.” The time display directly below shows the correct current Phoenix time (12:03 p.m.), but the device is still stuck on PST (11:03 p.m.).
Going back in and changing the time zone to “automatic” results in “New York” being displayed, but no change in device time. But disabling the “automatic” mode shows “Phoenix” again with Phoenix time directly below.
While all this stupidity is going on, a quick look at the “clock” icon show the correct New York time (with the sweep second hand), but the device time (displayed at the top of the home screen) and the alarm still displays three hours slow.
Anyone else unable to change their iPhone device time to the correct time zone?

Try doing  a reset on your phone. Sounds like your carrier's time set is not getting through to your device. If the reset doesn't do it, then go to Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings. That should do it.

  • Problem Changing Time Zones

Why does the Pre calendar change timezones automatically when traveling across the country?  This is very frustrating!  If I am in Los Angeles on Monday and get word of a meeting in New York at 12:00pm (noon) on Wednesday, I want to simply put the meeting into my calendar for Wednesday at noon. But after traveling across the country, my appointment for Wednesday has shifted forward 3 hours on my calendar because it thinks I had the meeting scheduled for 12:00pm WEST COAST TIME. The meeting now shows a start time of 3PM. If I change time zones again, the meeting on my calendar shifts again to reflect the change. My old palms didn't do this.  The iphone doesn't do this.  I think it is simply too much to ask of us to have to make time zone calculations in our heads before entering appointments.  PLEASE FIX THIS ASAP.

This feature can be turned off so the time zone will not be updated but the time still will be.
If you open your launcher and then look for date and time(normally on the 3rd page). Once in here turn off "network time zone" this way the time zone will not update when traveling anywhere.

  • ICal changes times of my events based on Time Zone! Argh!

    This is so weird...
I travel btwn NYC and LA, and if schedule an event on my iCal, either on the iPad, iPhone or MacBook Pro (all connected via MobileMe), when I change time zones, it changes the time of the event for that time zone. As opposed to keeping it at the correct time that it was actually scheduled at. For example, if I'm in New York City, and create an event for the following week that's taking place at 8pm, when I get to Los Angeles, it tells me the event is at 5pm.
I leave all of my Apple products to Automatically Set Time based on location. Is there something else I should be doing here?
    Help!

Go to settings, then Mail, Contacts, Calendar; then time zone support. Set your time zone.

  • Bought 2 iPhones same time. When I dwn ld app on mine, it dwn lds on the other. How can I create 2 iTunes  accounts?

Bought 2 iPhones @ same time & have same user ID's. When I down load an app from the app store it auto. downloads the app on the other phone. Was told to make another account with iTunes. If that's the case, how do you do this. If that's not the solution, what is?

In Mail Preferences/Accounts/each GMail account, set up the SMTP Outgoing Server for each account separately, going into SMTP name/edit/Advanced and specify the Username of each account.  The Outgoing servers must be two different servers, authenticated by the Username and Password of each.
Otherwise, the GMail SMTP server will change the from address to that of the account where the SMTP server was setup.

  • I have an iMac desk top, iPad, and two iPhones. Someone (a family relative) has somehow copied text messages, and possibly emails from our iPhones, and sent them to other people. He has had access to my wife's iPhone numerous times. Can I check our iPhone

I have an iMac desk top, iPad, and two iPhones. Someone (a family relative) has somehow copied text messages, and possibly emails from our iPhones, and sent them to other people. He has had access to my wife's iPhone numerous times. Can I check our iPhones to detect any surveillance apps(bugs) on them?

Whose Apple ID are you using? It sounds like whoever co-opted the account may have changed the security questions as well.
    Follow the instructions here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5665
What should I do if I don't remember the answers to my Apple ID security questions?
Try answering them at least once to see if you can get them right, even if you are not sure you remember the answers to your security questions.
If you are confident you can't remember them, try one of the following:
If you have three security questions and a rescue email address
sign in to My Apple ID and select the Password and Security tab to send an email to your rescue email address to reset your security questions and answers.
If you have one security question and you know your Apple ID passwordsign in to My Apple ID and select the Password and Security tab to reset your security question.
If you have one security question, but don't remember your Apple ID password
contact Apple Support for assistance. Learn more about creating a temporary support PIN to help Apple confirm your identity when you contact Apple Support.
Note: If you have forgotten your password and answer your security questions incorrectly too many times in a row, you will be unable to try to answer your security questions for a period of time. During that time you will not be able to reset your password and will not have access to your account.

"I have logged in to my itunes account on a different computer and none of my purchased music is showing up."
Correct.  it does not magially appear in other places.  It will only be where you put it.
"I also have plugged my iphone in to get updates but it says I will lose all media and apps if I don't update on the computer where  I sync everything. "
Correct as well.  Iphone will sync with one computer at a time.  Syncing to another will erase the current content.
You need to copy everything ( itunes library/contacts/pics/calendars/files/docs) from the old computer, or your backup copy of the old one, to the new one.
