Iphone charger port help needed

So, i tried to plug my phone into the cable becuase it was about to die. when i plugged it into the cable it wasnt charger. i did everything possibel, switched outlets,changed chargers nothing is working. i think the little connector on the inside is messed up and im not sure what to do. Is this covered in the warinty or not? i need help asap. any help or leads would be very appreciated. Thanks

Yikes no iPhone is no fun, so lets get this fixed! If it is in fact the charger port on your device that has gone out, provided there is no physical or liquid damage, your phone can be replaced under the year manufacture warranty. Since you have already tried using a different charger and outlet the last thing you may want to try is soft reset. A soft reset can be preformed on your device by holding down the power and home button at the same time until you see the Apple symbol. Your device will then reset and you can try the charger again. If the issue still persist please feel free to contact us so we can set your device to be replaced.

Check the charger connection to the MBP. The pins are spring loaded and should be able to move freely. Look into the charge port of the MBP and make certian that there is no dirt or debris inside.
There should be NO noise when connected to the charger. If so, bring the MBP and the charger for a FREE evaluation at an Apple store genius bar.

Elm Charger port help

Had this mobile sitting in its box new and unused as the charger port was knackered and didnt have insurarance, so sent it to shop and they took the port out and sent it back unfixed, so my question is cant i simply get new port put in it? so i can charge the battery up and use i ?

Well, I'm amazed they sent it back without the charging port! In any case, having had a look, there doesn't seem to be any spare charging ports for sale for your phone, probably because it's quite a new model.I can only suggest that you get it repaired by a SE-approved service centre.Since the phone is unused and presumably fairly new, you should be able to fix it under the warranty, although I don't understand what the water damage claim is based on.

Iphone charging port unresponsive to everything. It just won't work at all. HELP.

I plugged it into the wall, usb, docks, everything. Nothing happens. I can't see a water damage indicator and i cleaned out the port on my phone very well, not sure what can be done, and if need be can it be replaced at an Apple Store?

Apple doesn't repair phones, they replace them. If a hardware defect is found, Apple will EXCHANGE your phone. With warranty it will be free, if you're out of warranty it will be $149

IPhone 4 accessory help needed asap

Okay so here's the deal,
I used to have the first generation IPOD and I connected it to my after market DVD system that is in my car. I wouldn't be able to tell you the brand because there isnt one.
But the connection is two small USB connectors on one side and on the other the iPod charger connector.
Normally I plug my iPod in and go to the iPod menu in the system and then navigate through that to play the songs over my car speakers.
I have recently purchased an iPhone 4. And I am no longer able to do this.
I connect the accessory and it says this is not optimized for iPhone 4 you may experience some disruption in the background
I navigate the same way my play lists pop up and everything is the same but when I click it no sound comes out.
And when I navigate through the actual iPhone the sound comes out the iPhone even whilst still connected.
Is there anything I can do to make this accessory work??
Any settings I can change, any apps I can download.
Any advice would help.

unfortunately if its not working you need a update from apple or a update from the manufacturer there has been a lot of complaints about car stereos not working with the iPhone 4 and it def has something to do with the software that apple is shipping there is no magic application or magic setting that is going to change this sorry

Iphone questions:Please Help Need Opinions Too

I am currently overseas in Germany. I am looking to buy an Iphone, because it can play music, movies, internet, ect and big it's a phone. Is there a way to use the Iphone like a gsm prepaid or a way to work with it being a phone without going threw att and getting long distance charges. i will be here for the next 2.5 years. Also, is there anything else that would be helpful to know about the iphone.

the carrier for the iPhone in Germany is tmobile - not att - if you are going to be in Germany for 2.5 years you probably should buy a german iPhone - i dont know what tmobile has for plans if you go outside Germany or make international calls - in the US ATT has an international roaming plan that you can buy that redues the rate when using the phone in another country on a carrier ATT has roaming agreements with to 99 US cents a minute - dont know if tmobile has a similar plan in Germany - or what it costs if you call another country from Germany - you probably need to check into that
for awhile in the US if you didnt put in your social security number during activation ATT let it work as a prpaid - but i think tthey closed that loophile - maybe tmobile has some prepaid plan for the IPhone in Germany - i would talk to them - the rate plans are determined by the carriers not Apple
in 2.5 years the current iPhone will probably be superceeded by several nwer versions so i would worry about waht to do when you leave Germanyjust my opinion

New iPhone 4 Activation Help Needed

Well, I upgraded to a new iPhone 4 and ordered it on Saturday and it was delivered on Monday morning.
I now cannot activate it. I inserted the new Micro Sim into the phone and then connected it to iTunes and iTunes 10 opened.
It went through a lot of things and then asked me if I wanted to upgrade the software to OS 4.1, which I did and it then kept telling me that activation may take sometime. I successfully downloaded 4.1 and then the phone seemed to sync, but now, when I disconnect from iTunes, there is nothing about the phone being activated and there is no signal.
My old iPhone 3G however is still working and has a signal, but I can't use my iPhone 4. I tried connecting my 3G to iTunes and it came up with the summary info. and showed my phone number, however, I then connected my iPhone 4 and it showed summary information, but no phone number. No info re activating comes up at all and I am at a loss to know what to do.
Any ideas about what to do? I don't need to select contracts in iTunes, as I did all this on the 02 website when I upgraded and because it is an upgrade, I get to keep the same phone number as before.
What do I need to do or should I just go into a local 02 store and ask? I would just love to start using this new iPhone 4 now that I actually have it, but if it won't activate, then I am at a loss?

I had the similar problem when I got mine 2 month ago. I ordered mine from AT&T, upon receiving it, i went to the apple store to get it activated (since I had no internet connection at home), but to find that it was waiting for activation, the genius was puzzled to why it wouldn't activate. So I had to go to the activation site on the AT&T part and activated from there, then it worked.
so you'll probably have to contact your provider to activate your new iphone. Good luck.

IPhone audiobook menu help needed!

For anyone who doesn't know what Audible.com is audiobook site with iPod, iTunes friendly audio books for much cheaoer than the iTunes Store options, its a great option for those who like audiobooks but dont want to pay a fortune for them
Anyway, back to my problem, well more of an annoyance. :mad:
So, if I have audible books on my iPod they show up in a category separate from all of the other audiobooks, I want them to all show up together.
Please don't respond with, "what does it matter?" Because it doesn't that much but any help would be appreciated. dosen

This morning on checking with my 2.0.2 updated iPhone...
The Start Playing Where Left Off is only for Video. So, If you want to be able to resume your audible content it looks like you may need to leave them be.
You can however make them available right from the top menu of iPod on your iPhone!
From the main iPod menu, select More, then Edit from the upper left. Drag the Audiobooks icon down over a button that you don't often use... say Video. The icon you are dragging over will glow and once you let go, it will be replaced with the one you are dragging. You audiobooks might not be listed with all of your music, but you can go straight to them on you iPhone!

IPhone 4 Massive Help Needed

My computer is a Windows Vista and I have the iPhone 4. And before anyone says "Restart your computer, reinstall all Apple products like iTunes blah blah" yes I have already done these at least 5 times. I am looking for an actual solution.
Ok so I today I opened up my iTunes to get iOS 7 for my iPhone 4. Everything was normal, I was prompted to download iOS 7, and the download began. Once the download finished; however, my phone went into recovery mode and it is no longer recognized by iTunes.
Every time I plug-in my iPhone, I get a pop-up saying "Found New Hardware" saying "Windows needs to install driver software for your Apple Mobile Device (Recovery Mode)" with 3 options of Locating and Installing, Ask me again later, and Don't show this message again. When I try to Locate and Install, it never works because I don't have a disk. The other 2 options don't do anything.
I go to Device Manage (prompted by the support pages). I see 2 "Apple Mobile Device (Recovery Mode)" listed under "Other Devices" just like a picture has it on the support page... BUT when I click the buttom that says "If you see two "Apple Mobile Device (Recovery Mode)" entries with exclamation marks on them:" then it says that they should be found under "USB Composite Device" which I cannot find anywhere in the Device Manager because they are under "Other Devices".
So basically, I can't get my iPhone recognized by iTunes, and then when I go to the support pages, my problem can't be fixed because it's not in there. Has anyone ever had this problem before? If so I need to know ASAP.

It sounds like you are no longer able to see your iPhone in iTunes, and you are unable to find the Apple Mobile Device software is not installing correctly. I would recommend the following information from the article:

IPhone charging port burnt

I connected my 3 months old iphone for regular charging but i got a pop up saying charging accessory not supported even though it was my regular charger which i got when i bought the iphone with the box, so i disconnected my iPhone to see the charging point on the iPhone slightly burnt. iPhone worked till the battery was exausted but it is not charging anymore. I went to customer service center they are saying that some of the two screws are missing from the phone.
I didn't given my phone any other service station. Also they are saying that Liquid contact indicator color changed. so Apple will not replace the phone under warranty. but i have not done anything. Please guide me what i suppose to do?

AA3 Sound input from computer mic port-help needed

My new HP desktop has Vista 64 home premium (with creative soundblaster soundcard upgrade) and
I've installed audition3 and have it working fine when using audio files
but now I want to record audio using the mic port on the desktop. I have a headset mic (from dragon speaking software)
and the windows sound recorder hears the mic just fine. I am going nuts trying to get AA3 to hear it!
Any turotials I haven't found yet?

there is audio from the mic input in edit view. I hope to find it in multitrack view but need a break!
my problem with vista is that i'm so anti-change that i'd rether stay with it. I dont know how to change to Win 7 and as Steve says there3 is concern that we waqit for next version so the bugs are fewer. like Steve, I liked XP; I would take it back, but I'm not a tecchie and have no time to learn these thiongs.

Weblogic 7.0 Porting Help needed urgently ........

I have the following scenario
Servlet makes a call to Session Bean which has transcations manageb by container.
Session bean 1 executes SQL Queries
Session Bean 1 invokes methods on Session Bean 2 in another Weblogic Instance
to get value object.
Session Bean 1 after updating the database as well after intracting with another
Weblogic Instance returns a Java Object to Servlet.
In weblogic 6.1 SP2 everything works well.
While porting the application to weblogic 7.0 SP1 , the operation by Session Bean
1 is all done.
But before returning the vaules to Servlet the container most probably throws
a Remote Exception. If I catch the Remote Exception and do nothing. I am getting
the desired result.
My Question is why should I be getting a Remote Exception from the other weblogic
instance.
The remote Exception seems to be a JTA Exception on other weblogic instance.

Session bean 1 executes SQL Queries
Session Bean 1 invokes methods on Session Bean 2 in another Weblogic Instance
to get value object.
Session Bean 1 after updating the database as well after intracting with another
Weblogic Instance returns a Java Object to Servlet.
In weblogic 6.1 SP2 everything works well.
While porting the application to weblogic 7.0 SP1 , the operation by Session Bean
1 is all done.
But before returning the vaules to Servlet the container most probably throws
a Remote Exception. If I catch the Remote Exception and do nothing. I am getting
the desired result.
My Question is why should I be getting a Remote Exception from the other weblogic
instance.
The remote Exception seems to be a JTA Exception on other weblogic instance.
I am using Oracle Thin Driver for Oracle 8.1.7 with
TXDatasource.

Playbook charging problem help needed

I am having the same sort of charging issue. (I will start with the most recent)
I charge the PB on the stand charger and the wall plugin and get the charging bolt, but after 8 hrs. or more the battery icon shows 0%.
Knowing this, I can remove the PB from the charger and the PB is usable except for some apps wont load, and crash to home screen.
As of now the battery shows 0% after charging all night (11 hrs.) it's been on and running now for 5hrs without a charge and the battery showing 0%!
I know from past experience, explained below, that if I try to restart I get the 5 flashing lights and have to plug the PB back in for a minute or two to get it to turn on again, it won't turn on unless it is plugged in.
Additional background....
- Charging irregularities started after os2 upgrade.
- I did a security wipe and Os reinstall twice. The first reinstall attempt didn’t let me get passed the "waiting for PB to reach 20% before continuing" stage so I unplugged and thought I would try again when I got home, as I was at a hotel. When home I put PB on charger and magically the download started. Charge got up to like 57% and didn’t move after completing install, restarted and it was at 0% again. Put it on the stand and it turned itself back on like it’s supposed to do.
- second security wipe reinstall went a bit better but it wouldn’t go past the terms of agreement - select country page unless I did a restart 2 or 3 times to keep it moving (done while plugged in wall charger or on the stand charger)
- PB sometimes would charge but then would "stall" and remain at the 47% or 80% with no change in power display and again wouldn’t restart unless plugged in. And when restarted when plugged in after very long charge and display showing a charge of like 77%, would come back on with a low charge 10% or 33% etc. very erratic!
- Most recently Friday May 4...i thought problem was solved! Charging looked normal. Charging gradually when up to 100%. Used playbook battery showed normal discharge for 3 - 4 hr. off and on use off charger; down to 70 - 80%. Put back on charger for a while and charge would come back up. Put it on charger over night after a day of use and back up to 100% (something that had not happened in quite some time)
But then Sunday, the charging mystery returned with the battery display "stalling" at 57% with no change after normal use and charging for a few hours, I did a restart and again got 0% battery. Even after the above 11 hour charge it's still at 0% for 6 hours unplugged and powered on!!!! WTF??
