Hi Bala,
Did you manage to resolve this error?
I saw on a different post of yours that this was something to do with the version of SUP and SDK you were using at the time? Error while building SUP based iphone client application
Our developer is facing the same issue with her libraries now and I am trying to investigate where this comes from. Your insight will be very useful.
The issue takes place under the SUPLogLevel.h for the (int) Error method.
She mentioned that she updated her xCode recently. Is this something that may caused the issue?
Thanks in advance!!

• Tutorial for Building Mobile Web Applications Using ADF/BC4J-problem

This is the tutorial for:
Develop a offline, Web-based Disconnected Mobile application
Trying to create an offline mobile application using jdeveloper & oracle lite. I want to be able to update the home database after using the application in a disconnected fashion. I do not have a web site, nor is that a feasible option.
Jdeveloper 10.1.3.4 which should be OK as it is higher than the release specified in the tutorial.
webtogo
oraclie lite 10
oracle 10.
I have tried to follow the tutorial completely and I can not get this to connect from webtogo. It runs fine in the jdeveloper usising the container. I created the war file, did the wtg packaging process, opened the mobile manager and published the application & granted access to user 'john'. The samples provided work fine. The new application appears on the webscreen after installing web 0c4j. When I click on it, the address toolbar shows:
http://localhost/webtogo/bc4jtutorial/faces/CustomerOrders.jsp
When it installed mobile client, it installed the CustomerOrders.jsp into:
E:\mobileclient\mobile_client_oc4j\j2ee\mobileclient\applications\mobileclient\bc4jtutorial
an example of the samples that work shows
http://localhost/webtogo/sample6/list
in the browser address line.
Which looks like it's really
E:\mobileclient\mobile_client_oc4j\j2ee\mobileclient\applications\mobileclient\samples\sample6
on the file system
Any one have any ideas? I'll take another solution if someone has found one. However, i am not a great java programmer so thought jdeveloper was great to create forms and access the database.

Hi,
selecting a session bean, this option shows for me in 11.1.2. Make sure that - by accident - you don't select the local or remote interface class

• Looking for simple sample of iphone apps without using Interface Builder

I successfully went through the 'iphone app tutorial' and used Interface Builder, but now want to try creating apps without it.
The UI Catalog sample is too complex, but didn't see anything that just had a view and a button or label.
Ideally I want code that doesn't require any IB usage, but I can't tell if that is possible yet...
Anyone have a link to an easy sample?
Or has anyone created a test app themselves and wouldn't mind posting?
I took a stab at creating one and posted it on the "101" forum, but it would be hard for somebody to try and figure out what I was attempting
Thx for any links/___sbsstatic___/migration-images/migration-img-not-avail.png
ps
I really need a good book, especially "cookbook" style

hey dear
I have one solution of your problem
just go to in iphone developer search for FAQ
In faq their is one section how to use prohramming in this you can see
the how to ceate label,button etc.
after that simply add the view or remove theview.

Hi Rockky/Wang
I have added the following libraries to "Link Binary with Libraries" . I am using xcode 4.0.2 , SDK 4.3 and MAC-OS 10.6 . Libraries are belongs to SUP 1.5.5. simulator-- iphonesimulator 4.3
AddressBook.framework
CoreFoundation.framework
QuartzCore.framework
Security.framework
libicucore.A.dylib
libstdc++6.dylib
libz.1.2.3.dylib
libclientrt.a
libMO.a
libSUPObj.a
After adding all these libraries automatically added path to "Link search path" as follows
$(inherited)
"$(DEVELOPER_DIR)/Platforms/iPhoneSimulator.platform/Developer/SDKs/iPhoneSimulator4.3.sdk/usr/lib"
"$(SRCROOT)/../../../libs/Debug-iphonesimulator"
Header search path i have given as following
"/Users/RavuriB/includes/**"
"/Users/RavuriB/TravelRequestMAP/Generated Code/**"
Still i am getting the same error

i tried by changing paths differently but no luck.
is that SUP 1.5.5 version is suitable for the xcode version and SDK?. Am I forgot to add any frameworks ? or any thing i need to change. I am really stuck at this problem . Can you Please help me to come out of this problem.

• Enhancement request: Installing applications using the Builder

Installing a full application export file (including the new Supporting Objects feature) really needs to be handled better in the Builder, especially for really large applications.
The file upload part goes smoothly but once I click install, I get that animated gid for a long time and then I get a blank page or a wwv_flow.accept error page.
Long running operations like these should really be done asynchronously. Sort of how the Script Execution works in the SQL Workshop. Accept the install file, store it somewhere internally, execute it from there, free up my browser and provide a status page with progress on the installation.
Thanks

Another related enhancement request
APEX export files are plain text. So they compress like crazy using any compression algorithm (zip, gzip, rar, bzip2, etc).
APEX should accept a compressed application export file in the Builder and decompress it internally before installating it.
Thanks

• Deployed Android project using Flash Builder Burrito not working on mobiles

Hi,
I have created a simple "Hello World" Application using Flash Builder Burrito SDK. I have tested the result in the emulator it is working great.
After that i deployed the application using "Export Release Build Option" and entered valid certificate details and created the .apk file. I copied the .apk file into the device and i run the application. Iam unable to run the app. I have tried these in 3 android supported devices and in each of these i am getting different error messages. I have mentioned the device in which i have tested and the error message i got while i tried to install the app (.apk file)
HTC Desire - "Error while parsing the package of the application"
Samsung Galaxy Tab - "Error while parsing the package of the application"
LG Optimus one (LG P500) - "Application not installed"
I have created a New Mobile Project in the flash SDK and added simple label "HELLO WORLD" in the view section.
Before deploying i have installed Adobe AIR 2.5 in the device.
Whether iam missing any of the steps to deploy correctly in the device. If so, please let me know. Also i need to know whether any restrictions are there for applications developed using Flash Burrito Preview Release. (whether by default all android mobile version more than 2.1 will support it?)
Also when i try to install "Tour De Mobile Flex" apk in LG Optimus, it is saying "Device not supported" message.
How do i overcome these problems to run the apk file without any problems.
If you need any other detail please let me know, i will explain it in detail.
Thanks in Advance,
Srinivasan.C

Ok, this is an old post but i still needed a couple of hours to find a solution, so here we go:
- Most likely you have TWO executable build targets in your project (two mxml that you can launch). If so, go to the Project settings > Flex Applications and remove the one you don't need so you only have one.
- My case was a bit complex though - i was using an ANE and Coldfucion server. In this case change the Output folder in the Project Properties > Flex Server > Output folder to something like "temp" instead of "C:..." generated by Flex Builder. The Android device gets confused by a "C:" reference but still can understand a local "temp" folder
I hope i have saved your day

• How to lookup EJBs deployed in OC4J from a standalone client application

Hello all,
I am trying to lookup an EJB deployed in OC4J 10.1.3 from a standalone client application using the following code:
Hashtable env = new Hashtable();
env.put(Context.INITIAL_CONTEXT_FACTORY, "com.evermind.server.rmi.RMIInitialContextFactory");
env.put(Context.PROVIDER_URL, "ormi://localhost:23791");
env.put(Context.SECURITY_PRINCIPAL, "jazn.com/test");
env.put(Context.SECURITY_CREDENTIALS, "test");
Context context = new InitialContext(env);
Object ref = context.lookup("ejb/Dispatch");
I get the following error:
javax.naming.NameNotFoundException: ejb/Dispatch not found
at com.evermind.server.rmi.RMIClientContext.lookup(RMIClientContext.java:51)
at javax.naming.InitialContext.lookup(InitialContext.java:347)
For the lookup string I've also tried:
"java:comp/env/ejb/Dispatch" and "Dispatch"
For the Context.PROVIDER_URL property I've also tried:
opmn:ormi://localhost:6003:instance
The result is always the same.
I appreciate if someone could help me with this?
Thanks,
Georgi

Georgi,
Your question has been discussed many times on this forum. Search the forum archives for "RMIInitialContextFactory".
The PROVIDER_URL needs to include the name of the deployed application that your EJB is part of, for example:
env.put(Context.PROVIDER_URL, "ormi://localhost:23791/MyApp");The lookup name has to be the value of the "ejb-name" element in your "ejb-jar.xml" descriptor file.
Your SECURITY_PRINCIPAL value looks strange to me. Personally, I use "principals" (and not JAZN), so I modified the "application.xml" file (in the "j2ee/home/config" subdirectory) to use "principals". Look for the following comment in that file:
<!-- Comment out the jazn element to use principals.
When both jazn and principals are present jazn is used -->Good Luck,
Avi.

• Missing DTOs in Client JAR Using Appc

Hello,
I've been running Appc on my server JAR to generate my client JAR. It works great,
except that some of the files utilized by the application, namely the DTOs, are
not being packaged into the JAR. I think I know why this is occurring, but I'm
not sure how to fix it. Let me explain how a simplified version of the app works:
It's a security administration app, so there's this idea of users and their roles.
The only remote bean in the JAR is a stateless session bean. It has the following
methods:
public UserDTO getUser(String pUserId);
public List getRolesForUser(String pUserId);
public void updateUser(UserDTO pUser);
public void replaceRolesForUser(List pRoles);
Simple enough, right? The Appc process knows to place the UserDTO class in the
client JAR since it is referenced in the interface. However, what the Appc process
does not realize is that the List of roles being returned is actually a List of
RoleDTOs.
The calling client application uses the RoleDTO class when iterating through the
list of roles. Since the client application is a remote application and thus
has only the client EJB JAR in its classpath, the client app can't compile; it
can't find a definition for RoleDTO. Is there some way to force the Appc process
to include all DTOs?
Thanks,
Leo

Thanks. That's what I thought!
Rob Woollen <[email protected]> wrote:
Your analysis is correct. There's no real clean solution in this case
other than returning a RoleDTO[] or updating the client-jar file with
the missing classes.

• FTP client application for smartphone

Hi folks,
I am completely a newbie in J2ME, but familiar with socket programming. I wonder if it is possible to write an FTP client for smartphones... Let me summarize my questions:
1. Is it possible to write an FTP client application using J2ME?
2. If yes, can you recommend any library or API for developing this FTP client for my phone ?
3. Does Mobile Operator needs a special technology to support large file transfers from my phone to any ftp server (I mean GPRS or similar technology)?
Thanks!

Thanks for your reply Agyepong. Yes, it more looks like a missing jar issue, as I have all the beans in the deployment descriptor. But the annoying part is that the exception does not tell me which class was not found. Also, one jar that I know I have not included is ibmext.jar, could that be an issue. I just could not find this jar anywhere.
Thanks
