IPhone connects and disconnects for no reason.

My iPhone 4 and iPhone 5s won't stay connected to my new (Jan. 2015) Macbook Pro Retina 13". It will continuously connect and disconnect from the computer (not physically). What can/should I do? Is this a hard drive/motherboard issue? I have tried multiple chords and phones and the only one that stayed connected was my iPhone 3.

Could it be the text message reminder? It beeps twice (after the original time) to remind you.

  • My iPhone connects and disconnects repeatedly with Macbook Pro

As of this morning, everytime I connect my phone to my computer it rapidly connects and disconnects. After searching the web far and wide I've only come up with dead ends. Before today it worked fine, I don't think it's the cord because it works when i tried it with another computer and works when I charge my phone with the wall charger (which I'm forced to do now). Error messages have popped up like 0xE8000001 and 0XE8000065. If anyone could help that's be awesome.

I had to restore the phone to factory settings. Turn it off (press & hold sleep/wake button) and then plug it it to your computer while pressing the home button. Even at that stage the phone might keep disconnecting and reconnecting occasionally. I acctually had to do it on a mac running 10.6.8. My laptop is on 10.7.3 and it would not stay connected long enought for the restore to finish. However, once it was done, my iphone was on 5.1.1 and working perfectly. Hope this helps.

  • AnyConnect pre Windows login connects and disconnects for some users

    Hi,
I have Cisco VPN AnyConnect (version 3.1.0310) clients with a connectivity issue which manifests as follows:
A user boots their Windows 7 SP1 laptop up.
Before Windows login, the user clicks "switch user" and enters their Cisco AnyConnect credentials (this connects OK).
Once the VPN tunnel is established a user logs into Windows.
At this point, 1 of 2 things happen:
    1. Most users VPN connection stays connected and user GPO processing\logins work as normal
    2. For a minority of users, the VPN connection disconnects and then reconnects. The VPN disconnect and reconnect causes connectivity issues with mapped drives and Outlook (most likely due to GPO processing not applying as the VPN tunnel wasn't established at the required time).
There are no known commanalities between problematic users - all users are in the same OU and laptops are in the same OU, so they should be getting the same AD settings. The same user can login 14 times OK, but may experience this issue on the 15th occasion.
Within the profile xml file (stored in c:\program data\) the key "AutoConnectStart" is set to false for user controllable and default value. The XML policy settings are being applied correctly (we've checked Event ID 3010 within the Cisco AnyConnect Windows logs).
What we have noticed from using the back end Cisco monitoring client is that users who experience connection issues, connect pre windows login OK, but once they're logged into Windows the Cisco VPN AnyConnects seems to try and re-connect, which causes the current VPN tunnel to disconnect and re-connect. This disconnect and re-connect for users seems to cause issues with logon and GPO processing.
So far, the only rock solid way we've found of stopping this disconnect and re-connect behaviour is by configuring a system deny permission on registry key "HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run". This key contains an entry for Cisco AnyConnect VPN. Unfortunately setting a deny on the individual node value isn't possible and if the key is deleted or modified the system re-creates it. I'd rather avoid setting a system deny on the key for all users.
Any advice on how troubleshoot and diagnose this problem is appreciated.
    Thanks

I've attached some log files in case someone is particularly keen eyed at spotting issues (all data is anonymized)

  • Hi i have the iphone 4s and now for some reason it starts to warm up after using it for more then 5 mins

HI i have the iphone 4s and for some reason it starts to warm up after using it for then 5 mins...what can i do ??

Some heating is normal when in use. It's only abnormal if it gets too hot to hold in your hand. If it's in a case, take it out, and move it to a cooler environment. If it gets to be a big concern, make an appointment at a Genius Bar to have it evaluated.

  • IPhone beeps and buzzes for no reason

Does this several times an hour. Any ideas?
    Thanks
    Jim

Could it be the text message reminder? It beeps twice (after the original time) to remind you.

  • HT1338 my wireless keyboard keeps disconnecting for no reason, I press the side button and it connects again.  Frustrating.

My wireless keyboard keeps disconnecting for no reason.  Frustrating especially when you are going full on and nothing there.  I press the button on the side and it connects again.  Happening more frequently.  Purchased in March.
Any ideas would be most appreciated.
    Marie

I just have to ask, Is the battery due to be replaced by any chance?
    Hope this helps

  • My iphone 4s connects and disconnects (repeatedly) when connected to my computer

my iphone 4s connects and disconnects (repeatedly) when connected to my computer, it works perfectly fine when connected to regular chargers, everytime i connect it to my computer it shows the charging symbol and then disconnects and reconnects in less then a second, it will repeat this process forever unless disconnected, sometimes it works perfectly fine and most of the times it does the same thing, I know for a fact its not the wire because i recently bought an ipad mini with retina and its usb is new, it worked with the retina for a day or two and then it kept connecting and disconecting repeatedly, my computer is two months old and i have new hardware in that machine, is it a problem in the usb power fluctuation? i am currently using windows 8.1 and i need solutions, this is super annoying, all my other devices work perfectly fine with the usb ports, all my usbs (2.0 and 3.0) do the connecting and disconnecting sometimes it even works ,what is the problem?

    Hello Aqib2024,

  • IPhone 4s connects and disconnects from Windows 8

Apologies if this has been asked before as i'm sure it has but I can't find a solution.
I have a new HP Compaq laptop using USB 3.0, when I connect my IPhone 4s to my laptop it connects and disconnects every seconds, I've looked in the device manager and can't find anything to do with Apple in there.
Has anyone found a solution to this?

  • Every time I connect and disconnect my iphone/ipad windows vista opens windows media player in the background.  It then hogs all of my cpu.  Does this happen to anyone else?

I am running iOS 4.3.5 and this has been going on for months now.  I need to keep my task manager open to kill the task when I connect and disconnect my iphone or ipad.  It hogs all of my cpu, sometimes opening 2 or 3 windows media players.

Sorry, just to confirm, I DID NOT ACTUALLY ANSWER MY OWN QUESTION!
I replied to the previous message from my iphone and I managed to hit the link to "This has answered my question" by accident!
I AM STILL LOOKING FOR A RESOLUTION TO MY ORIGINAL PROBLEM. CAN SOMEONE ALSO NIW TELL ME HOW TO GET RID OF THE GREEN TEXT TGAT SAYS TGAT MY QUESTION IS ANSWERED? That is a pain! It should at least ask you to confirm that your question is actually answered and you didn't hit it by mistake, like I did!

  • All iPhones constantly connecting and disconnecting from 2014 MacBook Pro with retina display

So I have an iPhone 6, 4s, and 3gs, whenever I plug any of them into my MacBook pro they rapidly connect and disconnect. After about 20 seconds of doing this they trackpad and keyboard stop responding and won't be recognized until I restart the laptop.
Just as more information I have used 5 or 6 different cables and it works fine with my LG G3 and every other usb device I use. I have iTunes updated to 12.0.1 and OSX updated to 10.10, and this has been happening for about 2 months or so. My iPhone 6 is running 8.1 but did this before, although with the first sync when I first got the phone it worked fine.
    Any information would be helpful
    Thank you

Obviously, syncing an iOS device with iTunes over USB is still supported in Mavericks. Calendar and contact syncing with iTunes is no longer supported. That has nothing to do with your problem.
Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the icon grid.
Make sure the title of the Console window is All Messages. If it isn't, select All Messages from the SYSTEM LOG QUERIES menu on the left. If you don't see that menu, select

Click the Clear Display icon in the toolbar. Then try the action that you're having trouble with again. Select any messages that appear in the Console window. Copy them to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. Paste into a reply to this message (command-V).

Out of nowhere  or when I get a phone call, my modem would just randomly disconnect for no reason. Sometimes it disconnects a few times during an hour or back to back once I get internet back on, it goes out sometimes it doesn't for hours. It can get very frustrating if I'm doing some important only to realize it got disconnected and my work might be lost. My modem is a WESTELL Model: E90-610015-06
I have went through the modem combo and when I try to enter the user name and password, it will not allow me to get in. I depend on the internet for business and my daughter depends on it for college work. What can be done? In addition, this has been constantly since this pass weekend. It started on Friday.
    Thank You

1: If you see a Blue and White Westell page, mouse over Troubleshooting, go to DSL, and choose Transceiver Statistics. Copy/Paste the information on that page.
2: Go to System Monitoring > Advanced Monitors > Transceiver Statistics. Copy/Paste the information on that page.
3: Try visiting http://192.168.1.1/transtat.htm which is a direct link to the Stats on older modems.

    admin/password1
    admin/admin
    admin/admin1
    admin/Serial Number.
By Serial Number, I don't mean type in the words Serial Number. I mean find and type in the serial number found on the bottom of this rou

Settings > General > Accesibility > LED Flash for Alerts:   is it on? If so you can turn off the LED flash, but you will still hve to find out what is causing the alert, if indeed it is an alert.
