IPhone Crashes PC (Blue Screen) Because Of Pictures in Roll Film

A previous thread has been locked...but I have a similar problem...so I have copied this in the hope that someone has solved this...
THE PROBLEM:
My query is regarding the synchronization of the iPhone with a PC.
WHAT HAPPENS:
When I connect my iphone to my PC the message appears on a pop up "Digital Camera" then a few seconds later the BSOD blue screen appears and my PC crashes.
WHAT IT IS:
I have done some research into this and found out that it is when you have pictures in the 'camera roll' folder. So I took advice and deleted all my pictures in the 'camera roll' folder and sure enough the pop up didn't appear and my PC didn't crash and it synced with itunes perfectly.
WHAT I'VE TRIED:
I have tried as on the apple website they recommended, I looked for all other imaging software and drivers installed on my PC and uninstalled them. This didn't resolve my problem it still popped up saying "digital camera" and then my PC crashed.
HOW I HAVE STOPPED IT AT THE MOMENT:
At the moment i have managed to stop my PC crashing when pictures are in the 'camera roll' folder and stopped my PC recognizing it as a digital camera. I did this by:
1. Open up the manage section of 'My Computer'
2. Clicking on device manager
3. Plugging the iphone into the dock
4. Waiting for it to appear under 'cameras and scanners' section in the device manager.
5. Wen it appears right clicking the iPhone and choosing disable
The icon that appears and i disable in this section is the 'windows scanner and camera wizard' which makes me think it could be this which is causing it.
MY FINAL PROBLEM NOW:
I don't know how to get my photo's off the iPhone since i have disabled the thing i would use to get them.
Please try and tell me what i can do to either fix this problem or another method to get the pictures off my iPhone.
P.S. I HAVE DONE AS APPLE SUGGEST AND UNINSTALL ALL OTHER IMAGING SOFTWARE.
ADDITONAL INFO:
From the previous thread, this seems to be a problem primarily with the ACER laptops.
Please can anyone advise??
Thanks
Mazza

Mine worked! I downloaded the Acer Orbicam (Logitech) File and installed it and when the iphone is plugged in it comes up as iphone #2.. and doesn't crash.. Works great! The link above is for my model laptop.. not sure which one you have but this file worked for me..

Did you ever have a logitech web camera or built-in webcamera on this computer?
If so, download the latest driver from logitech and install it.
Essentially the driver, which may have been left behind when you uninstalled the applications in Add/remove programs, is attempted to tell your computer to treat the iPhone like a device it isn't.
    Hope this helps,

The issue is not a conflict with imaging software but with older webcam, camera drivers. Most of the time older logitech drivers are causing this.

  • IPhone 6 plus blue screen and reboot

when I'm using a certain app my iPhone 6 plus crashes a blue screen appears and then reboots. Is anyone else experiencing this?

My iPhone 6+ 128GB has been working perfectly for 4 weeks until I loaded 20K photos on it this morning which pushed the usage to over 60GB. Then I had the first terrible crash in the evening while playing a song via my car audio and it entered an indefinite reboot loop.  Finally I managed to shut it down.  After turning it back on, i took out 20K photos, sync it, so the usage falls below 50GB; now it works perfectly.  I did not have to fall back to factory setting.  The backup on my Macbook works perfectly.  Both apps and data on the phone are intact.  So I guess as long as you don't cross the 60GB boundary, it works.
It seems related to flash memory as many suspected.  So I don't think getting a new one at this time with the same flash memory architecture would solve this.  I guess we will need to wait for the recall!!!

    Hello liuqinqin,
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.
For more information, take a look at:
iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ts3281
If the device remains unresponsive or does not turn on (or power on), reset your device.
If there is no video or if the screen remains black, verify that the device has enough charge to turn on:
If you are using an iPad, ensure that it's connected to the USB Power Adapter supplied with the device.
Let it charge for at least twenty minutes, then see if it starts normally.
If there is no image on the screen, press the Sleep/Wake button to attempt to wake the device.
If the screen displays a red battery icon, continue charging the device until the battery is fully charged. Learn more about charging iPhone and iPod touch, or iPad.
If the above steps do not resolve the issue, or the if the screen remains black or shows a persistent Apple logo, try restoring with iTunes:
Connect the device to your computer and open iTunes.
If the device appears in iTunes, select and click Restore on the Summary pane. Learn more aboutrestoring iOS software.
    Have a nice day,

    Thanks for your help.

The DASYLab development team has read your message, and advises that there is insufficient information to be able to even start diagnosing the problem. We suggest that you send a note directly to [email protected], with your full contact information, DASYLab serial number, and the following technical information:
-The Help-->Report information - this will tell us more about the computer, video and installed memory
-Installed hardware - what DAQ devices are you using (exact models!)
-The worksheet that crashes - we need to see how the timing is configured in the worksheet
-What other programs are running at the same time?
-Does the worksheet crash every time?
-Does the NI-DAQ Test Panel work correctly for both inputs and outputs?
Sorry that we cannot be more help in this forum; we do not have much experience with blue screen under Windows 2000. This is very hard to do, and is almost always related to a hardware problem - either a resource conflict, or problems with one of the installed hardware devices (DAQ, Video, Memory...).

I have not researched further in solving this issue for a couple of months.  Still using my iPhone 6+ 128GB with around 64GB free space, not dare to load more stuff at the risk of reboot loop.  I am still at iOS 8.1.  Anyone know would 8.1.3 solve the issue?  Thanks a lot.

My ipnone 5s keeps crashing and blue screening any advice

Basic troubleshooting from the User's Guide is reset, restart, restore (first from backup then as new).  Try each of these in order until the issue is resolved.

  • Keep crashing to blue screen, have gotten a number of errors

So, for a few days now I keep crashing to blue screen. This happens most when I'm playing a game and as I've searched the internet for a solution I have discovered the the general agreed upon idea for my error is to do with video card drivers. Anyway, the
most prominent error that I have received is SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION with a stop code of 0x0000003b, but I have also gotten memory management errors and one
IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL error. I've have tried reinstalling my nvidia drivers to no avail, updated window to the most recent update and checked for new drivers on all of my stuff. I also want to mention I ran a sfc scan and here are the results http://pastebin.com/u3aQQyMc
. Would really appreciate any help on this, has been really disruptive. Thanks.

  • IPhone 6 128GB Blue Screen, Random restarts/crashes

Alright, i noticed this the day i bought my iPhone 6. Ten minutes of it being in my hand, i got a blue screen and my phone reset itself. Throughout the day it did it about 7 more times. It does this everyday. I have brought it to AT&T and told them i want a one for one swap since I'm still within my 14 day grace period but they have none in stalk, and i don't want to send it to apple because then i know that they would be giving me a refurbished unit. Im not into that, if i bought a new phone, i expect it to remain a new phone. I have tried multiple resets, backups and restores and even setting up as a new iPhone. GFU mode didn't work either. Any help or do i need a new unit in general? It did this in both IOS 8 and IOS 8.0.2. My 5S i gave my beautiful wife never did any of this.

Your phone is defective. I struggled for a week trying to get  my Verizon iPhone 6 to backup to iTunes issues (app backup would crash iTunes) and the phone would randomly freeze, give a blue screen and reboot several time when clicking on apps like Facebook. I went to Verizon, who referred me to an Apple Store. The folks at Apple looked at the event log on the phone, and replaced it on the spot, no questions asked. The tech told me that several batches of the Iphone 6 Plus had these  same issues, though my IPhone 6 64gb was the first he had seen with bad hardware and/or corrupted hardware.  Save your frustration-go directly to an Apple Store and get a new phone

  • Iphone upgrade has crashed my Iphone and causes blue screen error on PC

I just tried to upgrade my software and half way through my PC crashed. It said a blue screen error had occurred.
Itunes now shows that my phone needs to be restored, but everytime I try to do my PC crashes again. This has now happened three times in 1 hour. I have Itunes v.8.0 on my pc but this hasnt been a problem till now. I am so angry that I have lost everything on my phone due to a problem like this. Can anyone advise how I can restore my phone without totally killing my laptop?

With the blue screen it can be a few things that are interifering with it. First thing unplug anything from the usb ports on your computer and if you have like a logtech webcam make sure it is unplugged and also that if it is built in disable the driver. If you are on a pc you may want to go into device manager and update your usb drivers on your computer.

  • Itunes crashed too Blue Screen when I connect Ipod to computer

My Itunes crashes to the Windows blue screen of death whenever I connect my Ipod to Itunes. I have ran tried both the solutions that are posted in the support section of this website, but none of those solutions seemed to work. I have an Ipod Classic and am running the latest version of Itunes (8.02 I think). The error code that comes up in the blue screen is:
    STOP 0x0000007F (0x00000008, 0x80154000, 0x00000000, 0x00000000)
Any help would be greatly appreciated, as this is quite frustrating.

Did you follow through all the links on the page?
You need to give information about exactly what you have tried in order for someone to help you.
I do not have an iPhone and know nothing about them so I can't give detailed help.
In general you tend to get BSOD with low level problems such as drivers or hardware issues. Are you up to date with the downloads from computer manufacturer's download site for your model of computer? If you follow the links there are various suggestions about the sorts of things that could cause trouble.
If you are getting a blue screen stop, it would help if you could post the exact error message. It should be some sort of numbers and text -
    0x(zeros/letters/numbers) (CAPSANDUNDERSCORES)
    For example:
    Stop 0x05 (INVALIDPROCESS_ATTACHATTEMPT)
Also is a file name mentioned in the error message? If so give the exact file name. This is very important as it may identify the driver causing the trouble.
if you're not seeing a blue screen (or just a flash of one), you can use this technique to make hidden blue screens appear:
    1) Open your system control panel (Start->Control Panels->System).
    2) Select the "Advanced" tab.
    3) Click the "Settings" button in the "Startup and Recovery" section
    4) Verify that under "System Failure" the "Automatically restart" checkbox is not checked.
