IPhone Date & Time keeps changing to "Cupertino"  time zone

Hi
Every time i change my Time Zone in Settings>General>Date & Time to "London,United Kingdom" it correctly changes to "London" but if i exit Settings and navigate back to Time Zone settings it has changed to "Cupertino".
This effects World Clocks and other apps which is most annoying.
I have firmware 2.0(5A345) installed on the iPhone. Is there a way to upgrade this? Will i lose all my current data if i do a firmware upgrade? Will it even fix the issue?
Please help, there are currently 2 options I have. Find a fix or move to Cupertino so that my iPhone displays the correct time.
Is there a less drastic option?
Thanks in advance!

If i do that it states that i am running the current version. Maybe because it is a revision and not a proper update.
My twin brother also has the the version that you have (54347).
Apparently it updates the firmware when you do a "Restore" through itunes but that will wipe the phone clean of everything. I don't mind doing this as long as i can transfer my backed-up content but if i do a "Restore from backup" to tranfer all my settings etc i have a feeling it will revert it back to the firmware that the iphone was running when it was backed up. Hope that makes sense!
Thanks

  • The time keeps changing on my iPhone 5C even though I've manually set it. Help!

    I've been having trouble since yesterday where the screen was just black as if it was switched off. I couldnt unlock the phone or see the screen at all but I could only hear the phone when it rings but the screen remained black.
    I restarted the phone by pressing on the main button and off button for 20 seconds and it came on. Since then the time has been off be an hour no matter how i try to fix it manually. I was even late for work this morning because of it and I need a solution ASAP
    please help

    Hello LaylaAlHajeri,
    It sounds like you the time is acting unexpectedly on your iPhone. I recommend starting by closing all the open apps on your device:
    iOS: Force an app to close
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht5137
    Double-click the Home button.
    Swipe left or right until you have located the app you wish to close.
    Swipe the app up to close it.
    When you have done that and restart the phone and test the issue again:
    iOS: Turning off and on (restarting) and resetting
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1430
    If it persists, I would next try the steps in the article named:
    iOS: Troubleshooting issues with date and time
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ts3920
    Follow these steps. Test after each step to see if the issue is resolved.
    Ensure that the version of iOS on your device is up to date.
    If the option to enable date and time automatically is available, turn it on. Tap Settings > General > Date & Time.
    Ensure that your time zone is set up correctly. Tap Settings > General > Date & Time > Time Zone.
    If the incorrect date, time, or time zone is being set up automatically on the device, please notify your cellular provider. In the meantime, tap General > Date & Time and turn off Set Automatically. Then set the appropriate time and time zone manually.
    Note: The option to set automatically might not be available on all carriers in all countries.
    Additional Information
    Note: If you find that your device's time is incorrect after you sync with your computer, your computer's time may be incorrect. Verify the computer's time in System Preferences > Date & Time (you may want to select the checkbox to set the computer's date and time automatically).
    Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.
    Regards,
    Sterling

  • Time keeps changing back two hours!

    Ipod touch 4th gen. The time zone is set to Monterey (Tennessee). They have the same time as we do in Crossville. My Ipod keeps changing the time back two hours for some reason. So right now, its 9:26. My ipod says it's 7:26. I can change it back manually, but it just changes back. I didnt have this problem before i had to restore it from the update freeze. Is there another Monterey in the U.S.A. or is it just the ipod?
    My computer (Toshiba Windows 7) does it too, but i dont remember if it did it before my ipod froze.
    Please help!

    I didnt think it was obvious. Everyone I asked always told me it was a different time zone. Well whatever, thanks.

  • Miix 10 Time keeps changing & bluetooth stops

    I frequently encounter with these two problems.
    1. From time to time the system time changes arbitrary and seems like we are 2-4 days AFTER. For example, a while ago it showed that the current system time was 12:00 of Thursday, 27/02/2014 although it really was 23:00 of Sunday, 23/02/2014.
    If I go to time settings and try to synchronise the time of the tablet to the Internet Time it restores the real time, but displays an error message.
    2. From time to time the bluetooth connection between the tablet and the bluetooth keyboard and bluetooth mouse stops (they are both Microsoft Wedge). The Bluetooth settings disappear from the Settings menu and I have to set the tablet in flight mode and then to switch flight mode off for the bluetooth device to turn again on and reconnect with my two bluetooth devices. I tried to reinstall the bluetooth drivers, but the problem insists.

    Hi barbershark,
    welcome to macbook forum.
    how bad was the time changed? is it back to 19xx years? ussually, it happen after resetting PRAM or when a mac run out of "CMOS" / flash memory battery, but on new macbook is highly unlikely.
    do you have windows with bootcamp in your macbook, if you do, set and adjust the date, time and time zone as well on windows part.
    it is recommended to adjust time automatically if you have internet connection and already set the time zone correctly.
    also Reset PRAM:

    Reset SMC/PMU:

  • Edit JTable Date Cell, press Enter, the Time Cell changes to GMT time!

    Has anyone seen this strange behavior? I try to edit a Date Cell in JTable (orig. value 10/02/2000) and change it to (10/03/2000), I press Enter. But, the value of my Time Cell in the next column, same row which I never edited (orig. value 00:05:00) changes to approximately my system time in GMT (16:28:48).
    This is an excerpt from my TableModel which get called from setValueAt():1734 javax.swing.JTable, JTable.java. In the code below, the debug statement prints out:
    row, col = 0,0
    Value in SubTableModel = 10-02-2000 16:28:48
    Value should be "10-02-2000" since I did not edit the time cell at all. And why is row and col both zero?
    public void setValueAt(Object value, int row, int col) {
    try {
    ((ITableCellAdapter)adapters.get(col)).setData(getRow(row),col);
    System.out.println("row, col = " + row + col);
    System.out.println("Value in SubTableModel = " + value.toString());
    ((ITableCellAdapter)adapters.get(col)).setValue(value);
    catch (PropertyVetoException badSet) {
    System.out.println("could not set value");
    fireTableCellUpdated(row,col);
    How can I force it to set the date cell's new value only and leave the time cell alone?
    I've also seen that sometimes my date entry gets lost, the old value still showing, what am I doing wrong? I've seen a bunch of bug parade listings about terminating edits within a JTable being buggy, is this related?
    Any help on this is most appreciated!

  • Clock time keeps changing by 12 hours

    I have a 3rd Gen Touch that was my husband's before he got an iPhone. One day I noticed the calendar was showing the wrong day. On closer inspection, the problem was that the time was off by 12 hours. Instead of Wednesday 9 am it said Tuesday 9 pm. I went into Settings to fix it, making sure I had the AM/PM correct. Several days later I noticed it was off again.
    Five days ago I corrected it again. Today, it is again off by 12 hours, telling me it is 4 am rather than 4 pm. This makes it pretty useless as an alarm! Any idea what's going on and how to fix it?

    First, go to Settings > General > Date & Time and make sure you selected a time zone that is the same as the one you live in. Set the correct date and time.
    Next, go the the date and time settings on your computer and make sure the correct time zone is selected and the clock is set properly. Sync your touch and make sure the times match.

  • Time keeps changing.

    Hello, I have a 13" MacBookPro5,5
    And I started to have problems with the time.
    SOMETIMES, when I turn on my mac, the time is 6hrs behind from what it should be.
    So if it's suppose to be 7pm, it says 1pm!
    The worst thing is that if I go to date and time preferences, the timezone is CST.
    So, why then, if my settings have the right timezone is going back 6 hours?
    I have to manually change my time.
    But it doesn't last long,because after one or two reboots, I have to fix it again.
    Anyone know what could be causing this?

    Hi guys / gals,
    have a look at http://www.keiths-place.com/blogs/keith/2007/gmt-timezone-problem-mac-os-x which describes a similar problem and provides full instructions for fixing it.
    Another alternative approach, that seems to work for many, though, is outlined by Imacy at http://discussions.apple.com/message.jspa?messageID=8453075#84530755
    Cheers

    We are users. We aren't going to give you anything. You are not talking to Apple.
    What carrier are you using? Aircel and Airtel are the only supported carriers in India. If you're using a different carrier, then switch to one that's supported.

  • Calendar and time keeps changing to 2015!

    i have sprint.  they are having tower issues but say this is not related.  I have 3 iphone 4s' and 1 iphone4. all are affected.  Can't text, make calls, use most apps (most important being square app for my businesses).  Cant do anything.  My ipad (not sprint issue) is not affected.  I'm in the Eastern Panhandle of WV.  Not many sprint users here so I have no one else to ask.  Is any one else familiar with this problem? I am going back (again) to an apple store today if the sprint store can't help but I'm pretty confused.  I should also mention that this same thing happened last week from Sunday til early wed am.  This time it started late saturday.  I'm pretty sure this is a sprint problem but don't know how to fix it.  Suggesions?

    Go to Settings>General>International and make sure that Calendar is set to Gregorian
    and that ins Settings>General>Time and Date is set to Automatic
    Next:
    Try:
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
    Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
    least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Unsync/delete all music and resync
    To delete all music go to Settings>General>Usage>Storage>Music>Tap edit in upper right and then tap the minus sign by All Music
    - Reset all settings
    Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
    All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
    - Restore from backup. See:
    iOS: Back up and restore your iOS device with iCloud or iTunes
    - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.

  • What can possibly happen to my iPhone if I keep changing two SIM cards again and again?

    I Have two SIM cards. The first one is MPT, and it cuts Internet fees per minute. The second one is Telenor, which cuts per MB usage.
    I Bought the second sim to play Internet games (Total Conquest, DH5). Those games don't use much MB.
    The first one don't have a good internet connection, but the second one does.
    Here's the thing.
            Surfing Safari and searching apps and games in App Store use a lot of data. Other apps like Flipboard and Facebook also use a lot of MB. So the phome bills go up when I use the second one. But its perfect to play games with.
            Surfing Safari and App Store also use time and MB. Playing games also take a lot of time. The first one have a bad connection and it's a trouble for playing games like Total Conquest, my main game.
    I Want to use both of them on the same iPhone (i only have one). Like changing again and again. About everyday. What can happen to my iPhone?

    Michael's description is sound, the SIM cards may take a bit of wear over time withthis...
    You could get a 3G/4G wifi hotspot and give your computer/phone the better data rate that way.
    You need to talk to your ISP about how your connection is unstable. Run tests using an Ethernet cable and wifi (to see if the numbers are approx the same)
    Provide them your results from pingtest.net and speedtest.net to show your connection is having issues.
    Things that might indicate a problem:
    >100ms ping
    1-2mbps or slower on download/upload means the connection might need repairing.

  • Iphone 4 screen keeps changing

    im now totally unimpressed with my iphone 4, not only can i hardly ever delete text without getting loads of additional characters instead but now when i pick it up it changes screen 6 or 7 times, or when i try to input the password it flashes the screen on and off several times as if im inputting the password and then says incorrect password, PUK required - its almost as if someone is touching the screen and selecting options without me knowing, very spooky!!
    Is it me or is there something wrong with the phone - i was told it was easy to use but im struggling to see how - much prefer my old nokia

    It's fixed nevermind..

  • IPhone Calendar colors keep changing

    When I first began using my IPhone 3G, the calendar entries all synced as blue. Fine. About a week ago, they all synced as red. Strange that the color changed, but also fine. Yesterday, they synced as yellow. Not fine. I have a very hard time reading entries because the white lettering barely shows within the entries. Is there a way to go back to one of the other colors or at least to a more legible color? Thanks.

    dwbsf. If you go into your "mail, contacts, calendars" settings, then into your Exchange account you can turn the Calendar syncing on or off. If you turn it off, then back on, your calendar colors should return to the basic default color sequence, which hopefully will be colors that are more appealing (Red, Orange, Blue, etc.
