IPhone dead after resting on iPad with smart cover

Last night I set my fully charged iPhone 4s on top of my iPad2 with smart cover and went to bed (both powered on). This morning my phone was completely dead. Does this have something to do with the magnets in the iPad/smart cover, or is this just signal interference between the devices?

Probably neither, just coincidence. Plug in the phone to the wall charger for 15 minutes, then hold the HOME and SLEEP buttons until an Apple logo appears.

1) ensure iTunes is authorized for your iTunes store account(s)
2) connect your device and right-click or control-click it in the iTunes Source list, then choose transfer purchases from the shortcut menu that appears.
3) sync the device
iTunes will wipe the iPhone but, since you transferred your purchases in the previous step, your content will be in your library and you can re-populate the iPhone with it.

You and the iPad can function with the Remote App from across the room, or in another room.
However, your stereo system has to have a way to communicate or connect with the computer. Unless it has some kind of wifi connector or has Bluetooth, I don't see how you can do this.
There is no app or software to resolve this. You need a way for the stereo to connect.

I use the i-Blason Cushion Sleeve. The iPad Mini fits great and there is a little zipper pouch for a charger and stylus.

Mine has worked fine. What model do you have, the leather or the other? I've read of others using screen protectors like Zagg absorbing some of the dye. Of course considering the cost they are to produce ($12 is what I read for the leather) it doesn't surprise me some of the dye is coming out. I have wiped my black leather down with high grade leather cleaner / oil and you can clearly see it on the rag.

Ipad 3 smart cover wake up slower than ipad 2? anyone?

ok well i was watching youtube for ipad 2 smart cover reviews and i noticed that the ipad 2 smart cover wakes up almost instantly and then compared it to my ipad 3 and mine took 1-2 secends.
anyone else have this problem?????? please answer

Yes. I called Apple support today. My issue is when the iPad 3 has been in sleep mode for more than 10-15 min, it takes more than a second for the lock screen to appear when the home button is pressed. It is faster with the smart cover. Apple helped me restart and reset the device but it didn't help the situation.

Obviously it shouldn't do this. Either the Smart Cover is defective - or your iPad is too sensitive. See last comment in the following similar discussion - Apple replaced the person's iPad.

The display size and resolution are the same, the iPads themselves are not exactly the same dimension. Also, the new iPad has magnets inside of it help the smart cover attach itself to the new model.
You would be wasting your money, the Smart Cover is for the iPad 2 only.

No - if you look at the specs, the sizes of the two devices is quite different.

Ipad sleeve with smart cover

Hi,
I am looking for some type of sleeve for my ipad when I travel to/from work on my motorcycle. The plan would be to have the ipad in the saddlebag, but have a bit of extra protection from vibration and such. I have a smart cover and the thin back protector installed. I would like something with some extra space to keep those on and just slide the ipad into the sleeve.

I would just find a generic neoprene sleeve. Look at office supply stores or the such.

AFter installing iOS 7 my iPad 3 won't go to sleep after closing it's Smart Cover or no cover at all regardless of how long it goes unused.

I would suggest you check the settings for the Smart Cover -- perhaps toggle the Lock option on & off.

If that does not resolve the issue, then follow these steps:
iOS: Turning off and on (restarting) and resetting

When I called speck, they said not to get the iPad 2 version and try to 'make it work' and to just wait for the new version.

Keynote issue: Why does my iPhone 5 not detect my iPad with Retina Display when both devices are up-to-date?

I have an iPhone 5. I am trying to pair it to my iPad with Retina Display. However, the devices do not detect each other when trying to pair over Keynote.
My apps and iOS are up-to-date. What is the problem? I have even tried wi-fi. I successfully paired the device to my iMac and it works.
