IPhone dies of unknown cause?

Here is my problem summed up, I went on vacation for 10 days and had my iPhone off the entire time. I turned it on Sunday morning and made a few calls and it was working perfectly. Then after awhile on the trip home, the battery drained and the iPhone went black screen with the scrolling circle in the middle telling me its going into standby and I need to charge it. I get home and plug it into the wall charger, and nothing happens. After 7 hours of charging, still no reply. Just a blank black screen. Even if I change outlets, chargers, USB wires, or even plugging it into the computer, it won't recognize the iPhone for a restore. I tried holding the Home button and Wake button for longer than 6 seconds. Nothing works and I have NO idea what happened. There are no dents, scratches, anything. It just died? Does anyone have any idea what this could be? I had just installed 3.0 when it came out and that's the latest software update and I have not downloaded any apps since then if, that matters at all. Please someone give me some ideas!

Hi. I just got off the phone with tech support to tell them that I found the source and fixed the problem that was created by there poor assembly technic. I was trying to get Apple to either fix it for me correctly or replace the phone free of charge because it is not a hardware issue but an assembly issue. They said sorry the phone is out of warranty and there is nothong they could do. They did offer to sell me a new phone for the second time. I said no thanks. I have many years experience in electronics so if you never did any soldering before dont start now you will damage the phone circuit bord. For now do not attempt to open the phone they told me that voided the warranty. I didnt car because the phone was already toast. I will tell you to call as many people in Apple as you can and tell them what what is happenin with your phone and what I found. Feel free to give them my profile name mabe we can make enough waves to make them do somthing about the problem they created. Try these numbers and make some noise they just might hear us and stand up to the plate. Please let me know how it goes. If you choose to still try and open your phone you can google instructions on how to open original iphone. Be very carfull, otherwise take it to a phone repair center they can do a better job than you and me.
