IPhone doesn't finish syncing! Help!

Hey everyone!
I am having a problem where my iPhone 3GS. It keeps stopping half way through sycning at 2 out of 7 (using USB connection not wi-fi, due to not understanding how to sync using wi-fi)! Please if anyone knows a way to fix this, comment! It is driving me crazy with the way it keeps stopping! I am using a PC so please use PC terms not MAC terms.

IPhone Doesn't Finish Sync After Mavericks Upgrade

I have a 4S that is running iOS 7.0.3. When connected to the Mac two things fail to happen:
1 - iTunes doesn't launch and I have to manually do so
2 - The Sync is stuck in "Finish Sync" and the only way out without quitting iTunes is to tell the app to run a backup
Any thoughts

IPhone will not finish syncing

iphone will not finish sync.it goes through the steps unit the final one "waiting for changes to be made" then stops please help

Nevermind, tried a different cable and it started working. There is no visible signed of damage on the cable and very odd timing on when it failed.

New iphone 4 won't sync- Help!

I have a new 16 gb iPhone 4- got it today. I changed it fully and then plugged it in to sync on my Toshiba laptop. It started syncing apps (I also have an older version itouch) and I told it to select a few photo albums and a couple playlists for music. For some reason, it was only showing 4 GB as my max capacity and it went to 13.08 (or close to that) and then then back again. Then I got all these errors that the iphone couldn't sync. (I was adding less way than 4 GB). My itunes is up to date as of today. Any suggestions???
I've had an iTouch for years (and a mini before that) and never had this problem.

I solved my problem by reinstalling iTunes. I would have done that sooner, but, I have a very large library and a lot of playlists and I was worried about possibly loosing some of that. The reinstall was fine, nothing was lost and my iPhone 4 syncs now.

New iPhone doesn't WiFi sync

My previous iPhone showed up in the left-hand pane of the iTunes window when it was on the same WiFi network. I just upgraded to an iPhone 6 and it does not show up in the window unless it's plugged in. Why not? How can I get it to appear in the window and perform WiFi syncs?

i think u may have to wait for apple to release the 3 in 1 adaptor, the current one, referred to above, just has a c to regular usb port. I am using it to plug my macbook to a card reader.

ITunes Music Store Crashes - Doesn't finish loading - Help?

Hi all,
For some reason my iTunes Music Store hasn't been able to load up on my Mac Mini with Leopard. It's been months since I tried to access it because I moved (I got a new ISP), and I am just getting this computer working after months of being down. I just re[placed the PRAM battery in ordewr to get the CD Drive working. After crashing a few times and checking the boards, I have tried a few things. I upgraded iTunes & all my Apple Apps with Software Update. No Joy. I downloaded Safari and reinstalled. No luck. I downloaded iTunes and reinstalled. I ran Disk Utility to repair permissions. No luck. The Store gets about 60% of the way and then quits with the message: iTunes has unexpectedly quit.

Don't know what else to do at this point.

I tried a few things suggested here, but they didn't solve the crashing issue, so I gave up and upgraded to Snow Leopard.
Sometimes things just go south I guess.

Why does finishing sync take hours?

I am using an iPad2. Have connected it tonight and it will not finish synching. It has been doing this for 4 hours now. WHY? I do not have much on the tablet so am at a loss to explain this. Any help is much appreciated. thank you

If it doesn't finish sync within a minute, hit the Sync button again.

Can't Finish Syncing To iTunes

Hey Folks-
Ever since I downloaded 1.1.1, my iPhone won't finish syncing to iTunes. It kind of just hangs while trying to sync. And, it happens in the same place every time (syncing contacts). Is there anyone here who can give me a tip or let me know what I can do so that I can sync up to iTunes as I have lots of music that I've downloaded from the iTunes WiFi Store (which is totally cool and quick as h-e-double-hockey-sticks). Why does finishing syncing take hours?

I just got an ipod touch 5 today and I am trying to set it up. I transferred my songs and now it just says finishing sync. It's been doing this for an hour or so and doesn't seem to actually be doing anything. Is finishing syncing supposed to take this long? This is my second go at this because on the first take not all my songs seem to load properly. I just got the ipod today so I shouldn't have to reset it. I am on a newish pc that runs windows 7.
My old Ipod was a regualer ipod video 5 not a touch and it synced fine.

So I have found a common denominator to this phenomenon. After having the same problem, I started to recopy my playlist of 500+ songs in groups of 10-20, 30+, 75+, and then over a 100+. Any music I have purchased from iTunes won't copy, but everything else did. Unsure if I made a playlist called "Purchased" at some point or this is an iTunes default, I also noticed it had some of the songs contained in my other playlist and was showing on my iPhone. Regardless of what I did such as dragging music from that playlist to the other and clearing songs from that playlist, I removed it altogether from the iPhone itself vs. doing through iTunes. After that, music copied fine to my playlist.
So, my theory is that iTunes is getting tripped up on purchased tracks already showing on the phone and all songs are showing grayed out/dotted circle because iTunes can't resolve the conflict with purchased tracks.

Settings>Store...tap the ID shown...sign out...sign back in with the ID you want to use.
Note: Apps are forever tied to the Apple ID used to originally obtain them. They cannot be updated using any other Apple ID other than the one they were originally obtained with.

ITunes 10.5 sync doesn't finish iPhone 4S 5.0.1

When syncing my iPhone 4S 16GB 5.0.1 with itunes 10.5 using a Macbook Pro 10.7.2 it freezes at the last step 7 of 7. I had the same problem with iOs 5.0 and the update didn't change a thing. iTunes is still accesible, but it doesn't finish the sync. All I can do is deconnect the iPhone in the Devices of iTunes, but it give a warning that it is still syncing. When I check the iPhone and iTunes, everything seems to be ok and purchases and apps are either downloaded on the iPhone or iTunes.On the iPhone there is still the little wheel turning to indicate the sync and in iTunes there is the same little wheel next to the iPhone in Devices. Any idea anybody??

I'm experiencing this problem for the first time - frustratingly, while upgrading to a "new" (hand-me-down) 32GB 4G - on OSX 10.6.8. This phone has the iOS 5.0.1 update installed, I'm trying to restore my old phone's data from backup. All the data appears to be there up to mid-October (from looking at text messages), but the sync wasn't finishing. I hit "cancel," and now the cancel isn't finishing. I'm gonna leave it overnight, but I'm not expecting it to finish.

So i have multiple devices synced to my macbook pro including an iphone 3g, 4, and 4s. 3g running 4.2.1, 4 running ios 5, and the 4s running ios 5 as well. I've had no trouble in the past month syncing the phones whether it be music, photos, contacts, etc. Now that i have updated my iTunes to the latest software i am getting a message saying "the iphone could not be synced because the sync session failed to finish". Open itunes and connect iphone to itunes, syncing (=failed), exit itunes without unplugging and then open itunes again. if this doesnt work, uncheck apps & photos, sync again, before finish syncing stop it, then check it again.

Is this what you downloaded: iTunes 10.7?
When the update fails what if any error report do you get, specifically? Please do this before trying again:
Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions
Boot from your Snow Leopard Installer disc. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button. When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the installer.
If DU reports errors it cannot fix, then you will need Disk Warrior and/or Tech Tool Pro to repair the drive. If you don't have either of them or if neither of them can fix the drive, then you will need to reformat the drive and reinstall OS X.
