Iphone drivers wont let itunes open or find my iphone 3GS
my windows 7 dell wont open my iphone 3GS in Itunes. It shows up under my computers divices as "Apple Mobile Device USB Driver" . I am currently running 3.1.3 on my iphone and have never updated the phone since i first got it in 2009. I have Itunes 10.5 and I was trying to instal the new OS 5 software on it but cant because of this problem
Why can't you back up your phone? Connect it to any PC with iTunes, and right click on your device. Backup should appear, and this will back up your device.
Restoring it is the best option, upon completing a backup, you won't lose any core data (such as photos). You may just want to import your photos first to a program or your computer. Then they won't be lost.

Close out of the message app, then double tap the home button and completely close out of it.
Then do a rest, hold down the home/sleep button together until you see the apple logo and then release, then wait for the phone to boot back up. Then check message app again. -

i have the iphone 4. i just got the new update 2 nights ago and some of my apps that i perchased before i got the update will not open. and also my music wont download. i paid for these apps and music and its not working?
Did you use a different computer to update the phone than the one you normally sync to? What happens when you launch an app?

Hopefully someone can help.... I have an Iphone 5 and want to create a music video playlist on my phone so then i can play through my apple tv... but when i make a playlist in itunes and try to add it over to my iphone it wont let me sync the playlist...? I have already added the music videos to my iphone so that is not the problem.... i cant seem to figure out how to make a playlist for them... IE: to make the videos play consecutively in the order i want without stopping after each video and gong back to the list.... this is what i have had to resort to make it work....what i want to do....is be able to make a playlist of videos on my iphone 5....take my apple tv to friends houses and with wifi....set up apple tv and play videos at the party and not have to stand by with the remote and find a new video to play stopping the music between the songs/videos....very annoying....and have spent over 4 hours one day and an hour and a half today on the phone today with a sr. advisor with apple and they have no clue.... this seems sooooo simple.... please somebody that really knows how to do this....i will be indebted forever...............

It just began today; I've been purchasing content (music and apps) on the store via my phone and PC for months without problems. I can view products on the Store, but when I try to purchase something or view my account details and subsequently enter my password, I'm told either 'Cannot connect to the iTunes Store' (on my iPhone) or 'We're sorry, we cannot complete your request on the iTunes Store at this time. Please try again later.' (on iTunes for Windows).
After speaking to someone on 133 MAC, I've ruled out my internet connection - I have perfect connectivity to other services on my laptop and phones using Wifi and on my phone using 3G, but the problem remains - and my password: I've reset it to something else, but now I can't sign into my account on my phone at all. I can, however, sign into it on the web at My Apple ID.
iTunes for Windows diagnostics indicates no problems with network connectivity and a successful connection to the iTunes store. Here are the diagnostics results:

My itunes wont let me put music onto my iphone or take music off. Everytime I go to sync it it says I dont have enough space but I clearly have more than enough space left. I also am trying to take music off of my iphone so I can put new music on but everytime this box pops up and I really dont know what to do.
I think you have misunderstood the message you see.
The message states that you need an additional 1.93GB as well as the 3.93GB shown in the capacity bar. So it requires a total of 5.86GB.
There are a couple of things you can try:
Click on the OK button (in that message) and then deselect the media that you wish to remove. Once you have un-ticked the Playlists, or albums or whatever, click on the Sync button again to allow iTunes to Sync. It will then remove the un-ticked items, leaving space to add the 5.86GB that you are trying to add. If you continue to see the same message, but with a smaller additional amount required, then you have not deselected enough items.
Check how much space is being used by the "Other" category (shown in the capacity bar). While there will always be a small amount of Other on an iPod, anything over 1GB is probably not correct. Usually, a Sync will sort this out. If it doesn't then you may have to perform a Restore procedure, but I suggest you use that only as a last resort. -

i was just working on it-and my hard drive was pretty much full so i was about to delete some files to make room so i can save the document-but before i could do that, pages decided to auto save it for me but there was no room to save it, so it said could not save: revert changes. so i clicked revert changes and it said unable to revert, document must close or something like that and it closed the document for me. but i opened it again as normal and it opened again as normal.
so then i took a lot of my files off my laptop to make room to save it, but when i tried to save it, the same thing happened, but this time when i tried to open it as normal, it said it cant be open because it is a blank file when it so clearly isnt? is there anyway i can restore this because i dont see why my macbook is doing this to the file when i made room for it to be saved, and even when there wasnt room-my macbook saved it anyway. no thats theres room it says its blank and cant open- when i right click on it and click show package contents, it comes up with 3 items: data folder which is blank, index.zip file which it wont let me open to unzip, and a metadata folder which is also empty. please help, thank you.To change asccount information see:

[Locate the iPad as any other external device through Windows Eplorer or Finder and dig through the folders.]
You are fortunate that iTunes opens when you connect the iPad since many other users have difficulty in achieving this. It is from there that you can manage what you want synced to the iPad. -

What you mean by 'buy and create a new id', it's free to create iTunes accounts. But until you've logged out of your existing account, you won't be able to log into a new account. -
ITunes opens when I disconnect iPhone from computer... WHY?!
Ever since the 3.1 update (I believe), whenever I disconnect my iPhone from my computer, iTunes opens... Is this Apple telling me I HAVE to have iTunes open at all times on my computer, and if I don't, they're going to open it for me? It's quite annoying really, and I can't figure out how to make it stop opening each time I disconnect phone from computer.
Anyone else experiencing this problem?AHHHH! This has been happening to me for a while now. it's REALLy annoying. iTunes pops up for a second when I unplug my phone and then it hides itself in the dock. I wouldn't care, except that I've got limited RAM and use a lot of Adobe programs...and iTunes is a bit of a memory hog.
Wonder if it's a bug or a "feature," though i'm not sure what the feature would be. Please let me know if there is a way to fix this. I've gone thorugh all the options without success -
