Iphone Drivers?

I can not find any driver on my computer, how do i install a driver for iphone?

As already provided, installing iTunes will install the required drivers for the iPhone with a Windows PC, and the following was copied from this link.
http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1768
To get the best out of your Windows-compatible PCs, you need to make sure that the drivers for all of the components in your PC are up to date. Having outdated drivers on your computer can cause strange behavior with iTunes, QuickTime, iPod, and other applications.

  • IPhone drivers will not install (windows 7)

    Haya there,
I have around 1100 photo's on my iPhone and I was planning to save some on my harddisc so I could free up some space on my phone itself.
Easiest way to do this is plug it in, open the iPhone as a flash drive and drag and drop really.
    Now here is my issue:
When I plug in my iPhone it says the drivers have failed to install.
the "Apple Mobile Devive USB Driver" gets installed without any problems. However when it gets to the installing of the iPhone itself it fails.
Meaning, I CAN acces my iPhone trough iTunes just fine. Just not as a flash drive on windows.
    Things I have tried:
I've uninstalled both the iPhone and apple mobile device drives, reinstalled them but with the reoccuring same error.
I've uninstalled and re-installed iTunes, downloaded it from the website to make sure I have the newest version.
I've uninstalled and re-installed my USB hub drivers as this was something someone mentioned while I was googling the problem.
I've tried plugging it into different USB ports on my pc, but with the same error when it tried to install the drivers.
I've restarted my pc multiple times in the vein hope that the magic of the restart would cure all.
    Noticable:
I've plugged in my phone onto my old laptop (windows vista) and the phone got recognised there without problems. So the problem will be within my desktop, not the phone or cable.
    - I use a desktop running Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit with Service Pack 1
    - I'm running iTunes version 11.0.2
I know I can transfer the photo's to my pc using my photostream. At this very moment Im transfering the photo's to my laptop as it is working on there. Where Ill dump them on my external harddisc. But I still want the problem fixed for next time. I should be able to just plug in my phone and get acces to my photo's even when there is no wifi around or when I dont have my laptop at hand.
Thank you in advance for your help

Having more storage in your iCloud account does not expand the storage on your phone.  If you don't have enough free space on your phone to update, you'll have to delete some data to do so (such as deleting all your music, then syncing it back to your phone after you update).
Also, backing up your photos to iCloud only allows you to restore them to your phone later if you ever need to, it doesn't allow you to access the photos from iCloud.  It also doesn't give you more space on your phone as it only backs up your photos, it doesn't delete them from your phone.  If you want your photos in iCloud, turn on photo stream.  This will actually take more space on your phone, not less, as you will get a duplicate photo in your photo stream album to the one in your camera roll.
If your storage isn't increasing as you delete data from your phone, try deleting your iCloud backup and backing up again.

  • IPhone drivers won't load since iTunes 10.1

I'm running Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. I installed iTunes 10.1 almost 2 weeks ago. On Nov 14, I tried to sync my iPhone 3GS for the first time since the upgrade. I plugged the phone in and Windows said it was loading the drivers. Then Windows popped up a little notice over the tool tray saying there was an error.
I've had some trouble like this before, but usually only on iOS upgrades when the phone is in recovery mode. Still, I followed the usual steps. I uninstalled iTunes and all related programs. I rebooted. I downloaded a fresh version of iTunes 64-bit. I installed and rebooted. I plugged in the phone, but still the drivers wouldn't load.
I called Apple support. They walked me through the uninstall again. I turned off my anti-virus and firewall. I verified that all folders related to the apple install were removed. I emptied my Recycle Bin even. Rebooted, downloaded, installed, rebooted. Still not working. Device Manager claims the driver is not for this platform when I watch it try to identify the phone when I plug it in. (Yes, I downloaded the 64-bit version of iTunes.)
Eventually, they told me to take the phone into an Apple store and verify that there was no hardware problem. The phone is apparently fine. They gave me a new cable, but it still doesn't work.
Prior to the iTunes 10.1 upgrade, I had no issues with syncing the phone. I had some issues during upgrades where exactly this kind of thing would happen, but taking it into the store to restore to factory defaults always meant I could recover from backup.
The guys at the Genius bar suggested I wait for the next iTunes update, but it's been two weeks and I can't backup my phone.
Has anyone here successfully resolved a problem like this one? I see some people with similar, but not identical, problems on the forums here, but not all of them have their questions marked as answered either.

I understand that some of you worship Apple and any negative comment about Apple is an insult to them personally.
Not to me buddy boy. I understand there are those who make such blanket statements - if I have a problem or I always experience a problem after installing an iPhone firmware update or after installing an iTunes update, the same must apply to EVERYONE. Baloney. Such a blanket statement could not be further from the truth in regards to Apple updates and Windoze updates. All Windows users do not experience a problem after installing every Windows update but a certain percentage will and do. And there are a percentage of mental midgets who make idle threats at a user to user help forum only - if Apple doesn't do this or that, this will be the last Apple product I will EVER buy. Doubtful there are any fellow user will lose any sleep if you decide to never purchase another iPhone or any Apple product. Win some, lose some. It is impossible to make everyone happy. If you want help, stick to providing pertinent info about the problem only and spare fellow users the idle threats.
Every time when I plug in my Iphone4 to the computer, Itunes automatically recognizes the phone and syncs. It has not done some the past few days since my upgrade.
Your iPhone syncs but not automatically when your iPhone is connected. You must go to all the trouble of having to manually select the Sync button which is having a dramatic effect on your lifeline for work, etc. - having to manually select the Sync button?

  • Updating iphone drivers access denied

My iphone wont connect to itunes it doesnt even show up, my computer makes the noise when I connect it but the iphone is unresponsive, it wont even charge it. I tried all the usb cables in my house, then went so far as to buy two new ones incase that was the problem...it was not.
I apparently dont have the right drivers installed for my iphone.
    I read through this http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1538 and the iphone usb driver isn't even under 'Universal Serial Bus Controllers' its under 'Other Devices' and it has a yellow exclamation point, when I right click the click on properties it says;
The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28)
    Access is denied.
To find a driver for this device, click Update Driver.
So naturally I click update driver but it says access denied again, so I went through the support article linked above found the "usbaapl64" file and tried updating that way, I still get access is denied and of course my luck the article covers error code 52 but not 28...Theres nothing there to help me figure out why it says access denied or where to go from this point. All help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hy there,
In order for you to solve this problem you have to follow these stept if your running windows:
1'st step is to go into the device manager
2 step is to go to portable devices (it is rught under network adapters)
3 step is to right clic apple iphone and click update drivers
4 step is to brows your drivers from C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support\Drivers
After that your itunes will pump up alown and youl see your iphone right there.
Good luck and sry for my bad righting.

  • TS1363 iphone drivers missing

The iphone cannot be synched. The device cannot be found. Error when synching with itunes. Have a 64 bit computer. Drivers seems to be missing? Any suggestions????

I have found the location of my USBAAPL.SYS file (driver that is supposedly missing) inside this folder C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers
After looking around different forums, I believe this is where it is supposed to be, yet my computer says it is missing. Does anybody know how to install it to my computer again? Reinstalling iTunes doesn't work.

  • Iphone drivers wont let itunes open or find my iphone 3GS

my windows 7 dell wont open my iphone 3GS in Itunes. It shows up under my computers divices as "Apple Mobile Device USB Driver" . I am currently running 3.1.3 on my iphone and have never updated the phone since i first got it in 2009. I have Itunes 10.5 and I was trying to instal the new OS 5 software on it but cant because of this problem

Why can't you back up your phone? Connect it to any PC with iTunes, and right click on your device. Backup should appear, and this will back up your device.
Restoring it is the best option, upon completing a backup, you won't lose any core data (such as photos). You may just want to import your photos first to a program or your computer. Then they won't be lost.

  • IPhone not recognized by iTunes any more

    iTunes 9.0.2 on a 2006 iMac 2GHz intel duo running OSX 10.5.8
    iPhone 3Gs 32 gig
    iPod (5th gen)
3 external hard drives, all the iTunes library stored on a Mybook 1 TB Firewire drive plugged into iMac direct, not via a Firewire hub.
I plugged my iPhone into the Mac this am, tried to sync the iPhone and got an error message saying that something was wrong with my iTunes.
    Mac then froze.
Finally got the Mac back up after five attempts (eventually, had to unplug everything, including the mains to the iMac, plug in just the power, keyboard and mouse, press and hold power switch for 5 secs then plug in each extra drive when the Mac came back up).
Found something seriously wrong with iTunes as it wouldn't open when clicked on (Force Quit reported app frozen).
Deleted iTunes using AppZap then downloaded iTunes from Apple website.
iTunes now back up on iMac but can't find any of the music files (even when I carefully repoint the iTunes to the correct location for the iTunes library by iTunes/Preferences/Advanced then Change iTunes Media Folder Location). Each entry in the iTunes library now has a black exclamation mark against it,
Also, iTunes doesn't see my iPhone when I plug it in.
Also, when I plug in my iPod, get the error message "The iPod is synced with anotehr iTunes library. Do you want to erase this iPod and sync with this iTunes library?"
    HELP!
By the way, I have TIME MACHINE running to a separate and dedicated HD. Can I not just "roll back" my iMac in the same way I could do with a PC, say selecting the iMac when it was last working fine (yesterday evening)??
Keeping fingers crossed and hoping for an answer....
    Chris

Rather than create another "iPhone not recognized by iTunes" thread, I'll add to this one. I have an iPhone 3G 8GB.
After going through those steps you listed, my Windows XP installation always reverts back to the old Windows Apple iPhone drivers which only sees it as a camera. I've had it set to only pull from the iTunes drivers by specifying "Don't search, I will choose the driver to install" in the Hardware Update Wizard. Windows still doesn't like the iTunes drivers stating "the specified location does not contain information about your hardware". This location is the same as you noted: "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support\Drivers" which contains:
    usbaapl.cat
    usbaapl.inf
    usbaapl.sys
    All dated 7/22/2008.
My current drivers for the iPhone in my setup are still the MS drivers, version 5.1.2600.0.
    usbscan.sys
    ptpusb.dll
    ptpusd.dll
Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

Sure thing bro, no problem. I assume your running Windows 7 or 8? So for me I had to update the iphone drivers.
First, open Control Panel, click Hardware and Sound then devices and printers look for your apple iphone under the "Unspecified Devices" tab, Right click on it, choose properties, after that you'll choose the hardware tab to the right of the box that opens. When you click on hardware, choose properties again toward the bottom. Then you'll choose settings, after that you should see the Driver tab, 2nd one. Click that and choose update driver, then browse my computer for driver software, after that you'll want to navigate to
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support\Drivers and click Ok. The driver should update and all should be good after that. Matter of fact, here is the article i used. Good luck dude!!

  • IPhone isn't recognised as a camera device, but DOES appear in iTunes

Evening, I have an issue with getting photos/videos off from my iPhone 4.
Everything syncs perfectly fine in iTunes, contacts, music, apps ect. "Kayo's iPhone" pops up and away it goes.
However, it not appearing in *My Computer as a camera device* for me to remove photos from. The Apple Mobile Device USB Driver (found in device manager) is installed correctly and working fine. I've been able to tether, no issues there.
But under 'Computer Management > Device Manager > Other Devices > iPhone' it displays the little yellow triangle warning icon thingy, to advise that drivers are not installed correctly or the device is not operating properly.
Have tried right click > 'update driver software' with no luck. In properties the device status error is:
The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28)
There is no driver selected for the device information set or element.
To find a driver for this device, click Update Driver.
I have read a few other forums that say you need to remove all other foreign photos that my not be recognised by the laptop and may cause this issue. I have removed all emailed/mms'd/saved/wallpapers/screenshots/edited in Photoshop for iPhone app and ect. The only photos/vids remaining were taken with this handset. Rebooted laptop and iPhone, no changes... I even deleted old photos that had transfered over from the iPhone 3GS from when I upgraded about a month ago.
I have the latest iOS, I have the latest iTunes, I have the latest windows updates. Where am I going wrong? How do I get the silly thing to recognise as a camera???? Where do I find the drivers? Have searched but not found anything helpful. Am I stuck because I have Win7?? How do the iPhone drivers initially get installed to the computer?
Has anyone else had this issue? I've been able to use Dropbox to get a few photos off, but they can only be selected one at a time. Would much prefer to just drag and drop - especially some big videos that I can't email (and dropbox crashes when I try to sync them)
Have tried to 'Add new Device' - nothing shows up in the list.
Have also checked Autoplay for devices - nothing shows up in the list.
    Any help/advice would be appreciated!
    Cheers, Kayo

I had the same problem and after 3 weeks of searching found a post that said you need Media Feature Pack for Windows 7 N and Windows 7 KN (KB968211)

  • 1602 and 1604 Errors When Attempting to Restore/Update iPhone - Please Help

Hi, I've been having trouble with my iPhone 3GS and after wasting many days on trying to solve the problem, I am reaching out for help from those more knowledgeable than me. I have been having this problem for as long as I can remember (I've owned my iPhone for just under a year): whenever I attempt to Restore my iPhone or update its OS, I receive a 1602 or 1604 error on iTunes and the process stops with the iPhone wiped. iTunes refuses to continue the Restore and any further attempts result in the same error. I originally found this work around for the problem after an exhaustive search (4th post down):
    http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=1363589
However, every time I wish to Restore or update, I have to follow these long, annoying, unusual steps, and, now that I am coming to the end of my year's warranty, I really want to fix this problem, or get it fixed by Apple if this is not possible.
The iPhone restores with no problem on another computer in my house, so I guess the problem is with my computer. I have taken the following steps (often many times over and in combination with each other) in my attempts to fix the problem, but with no success:
    1. Uninstalled and reinstalled iTunes
    2. Uninstalled and reinstalled iPhone drivers
    3. Uninstalled and reinstalled all Apple software and drivers
    4. Removed iTunes library, all music and any other iTunes files in music folder
    5. Created a new user account, which is free from any old iTunes settings, opened iTunes and plugged in iPhone
    6. Used different USB ports
    7. Plugged in iPhone after being restored on other computer
I'm running out of ideas. Can anyone please help?
    Thanks,
    James

I had all of these problems, and I was able to fix them with the following process. Here is what I did:
    My setup:
Apple Max OS 10.4.10, Mac G4, with 3rd party USB 2.0 card.
    1. Upgrade to iTunes 7.6 and Quicktime 7.4, Restart and repair permissions
    2. Purchase the iPod Touch Upgrade - It took two tries to purchase. I had to accept to two agreements, and then got an error. I purchased the upgrade again and got an instruction screen. iTunes appeared to download a very small file.
    3. Sync my touch (I still had not upgraded to firmware 1.1.3)
    4. The touch synced, but I had no new functions.
    5. I clicked upgrade, and downloaded the 165GB file.
    6. While the file was downloading I undocked my iPod touch and restarted it.
    7. When the download was complete, it gave me an unknown error because my iPod was not connected.
    8. I connected My iPod and tried to install the update. After several tries, I always got a 1602 error.
    9. I restarted my computer and did a hard restart of my ipod touch. This did not work, I still had 1602 errors.
    10. At this point, I chose to RESTORE my iPod Touch.
    11. After the restore, I chose not to restore any content, and just tested the firmware update. EVERYTHING worked great!
    12. I synced my iPod touch while I watched the keynote. 45 minutes later my sync was complete and 14 Gig of content was restored. The new functions are great. I have already read my .Mac email.

  • Windows iPhone tether stopped working (Win7 64-bit)

Have an iPhone 5S on Canada's Rogers network. Tethering was working on my desktop (Win7 x64) a month ago. Needed to move away desktop and find tethering no longer working. I've run a temporary cable to ensure latest iTunes, and ability to download any iPhone drivers needed, but even with temporary access to internet I can't get iPhone to provide network services.
iTunes is latest version as of 2015-02-24 (sorry I can't find mechanism to determine version don't see help option as Apple suggests).
    All Windows updates installed.
Am used to seeing iPhone appear along side LAN Network in Control Panel / Network and Internet / Network Connections ...whenever tethering is on and iTunes running. Not any more.
I've plugged my iPhone into another PC running Windows 7 and it tethers fine. That machine is lacking Windows updates, and might not be latest iTunes. But it does confirm that my carrier is not the issue.
If a particular update has been identified as trouble (if that's even it) could someone let me know. If I figure it out myself I'll post here too, or whatever it is. But mostly wondering if just me, or if this issue is suddenly appearing for many people.

i also have an issue with photodownloader using win7 64bit
where i am unable to use the custom fields for naming.
it all used to work just fine. it possibly went in fault mode after i loaded
elements 8 that came with my wacom, but unable to prove that.
elements is now removed and the fault is still there.

My computer wont recognize it. unistalled itunes and reinstalled it. Tried all the walkthroughs but none worked. Rebooted the computer, no difference. The worst is that I'm going away tomorrow, and need my phone. I love mye iphone, but seriously how much troubles must it be, with updating and syncin? Anyone who has a better idea.

    Help me please.

I've had the same problem. Updated my iPhone 3GS this morning and the home button on the phone stopped working and voice control app kept popping up. Restored my phone & now it deleted everything but says it can't restore it because it's stuck in "recover mode". Please help.

Downloaded latest IOS 7.0.2 and it crashed my iphone 4. Now Ive got nothing and it wont restore when connected with Itunes cos Error Message 4005 comes up. Cant find it listed anywhere. Help

    Hi!
It looks like there might be some security settings or software on your laptop that's preventing the restore process from working.
Check out this article in Apple's support. It shows you the steps you can take to try to get around error 1611.
Like diesel vdub said, a DFU-mode restore might give you success where a regular restore might not, so maybe you can try that.
What you need to do is put your phone into DFU mode, which is a low-level mode that helps the restore process get a little more done, or it can help iTunes get around certain roadblocks (hopefully like the one you're experiencing!). Your computer will install special DFU-iPhone drivers for it, and then iTunes will see it as a phone that needs restoring.
To get your phone into DFU mode:
Plug your phone into your laptop.
    Turn the phone off.
Press and hold the power/lock button. Keep it held in, even after the display turns on and you see something on the screen. As soon as you see something on the screen, start holding the home button as well as the power button, so that they're being pressed together.
Keep both buttons pressed down for 10 seconds.
After 10 seconds, release the power button, but keep holding home until the laptop sees a new USB device. Once you see that, you're in DFU mode, and you can let go of buttons. Your iPhone screen will be blank during it all, even though it's actually on, in DFU mode.
    Now your restore should work!
If your phone shows the Apple logo or anything else while you're trying to get it into DFU mode, then something went wrong. Try the steps again. If it suddenly starts up normally again, try reducing the time to a bit less than 10 seconds--try reducing it by about a second at a time. It should work!
